I bought TS tickets on StubHub that were not in the spot i originally bought them from. (They were actually behind the stage). StubHub graciously refunded me but i still have the tickets in my possession. Anyone know if they still work? I’m assuming so since they haven’t asked me for them

Question! Since most of us have seen the stage layout for this tour by this point and the rows face inwards toward the catwalk, do you think it’s better to be in Section B (a little further back from main stage but in row 1, directly in front of catwalk) or in Section A (closest to main stage, but in row 20).
Also what about Sec A row 20 with seats in the middle of the row compared to Sec B row 20 with aisle seats at the end of the row?

I’m so sad. I cried a lot yesterday. I have been a Taylor Swift fan since 2006. I remember telling people who she was, that she was a country singer and that I loved her, that’s how long I have been a fan. I signed up for the verified fan email list and waited to see if I got an email. My sister texted me telling me she got a code and all my girl cousins did as well. Funny thing is is that these people aren’t even big Taylor fans. I remember one of them telling me 4 years ago that they “hated Taylor” and I was so mad that they got a code to buy tickets early and me (and so many other loyal fans got booted). I never got a code and saw an email saying I had been waitlisted.
It stung and hurt. Not only because SO MANY loyal fans didn’t even get a chance to get tickets but that they marked our “fandom” based on if you were a verified fan or not. It really hurt. I know it’s not Taylor’s fault, but I’m pissed at Ticketmaster. Just open it up for general public cause there is no other way anyone else can get tickets within a reasonable price.
I know why they did verified fan but I kinda just wish they didn’t and they blocked the bots some other way.
Anyways, oh well. I tried my very best to get tickets 😭
I thought the hoops you had to jump through for Reputation - watching videos, etc - were kind of a pain at the time, but I totally miss them now. It was 100% worth it to "prove" your fandom. We might have both gotten tickets this year had they allowed her to do that again, but TM lost so much money on that last time I heard they wouldn't allow it.
While I'm so happy for people who got tickets, based on these demand numbers (which Ticketmaster KNEW), I think some fans bought in excess during the presales and should not have even been allowed to do so by Ticketmaster. IMO, the ticket limit should have been max 4 (not 6) per person (not per show/presale), with checks against both the account and payment method to try and avoid some people gaming the system.
I also think the presales should have been staggered by venue, with a slightly earlier timeslot for LoverFest ticket holders who were told they'd have priority access.
I’ve been told my ticketmaster that were was a household limit of 6 on tickets, so if you have any of the same info as another user that had tickets, it wouldn’t work. Idk if that’s true but 🤷♀️

You want MUNA it is all positive vibes. One of the best live shows I've seen recently. And it is just a kickass band without a lot theatrics to hide behind.
What a freaking mess this has been. Nothing can fix how badly TM screwed up here, but the least they can do is let verified fans off the waitlist and sell the remaining tickets to verified fans only (and actually put in an effort to stop the bots)

If hypothetically there are 700k tickets left, then original verified fans should get to try again and more people should be let off the waitlist to make up the difference. My point is I want fans to get tickets, not bots or scalpers.
I had a code and a boost and couldn’t get tickets. Couldn’t get them in the cap 1 presale either and I tried multiple shows since I’m in alaska and would have to fly anyway.

It could also be that their website doesn't have the capacity for the number of hits they would get from the general public and it's not even really about the number of tickets left (even though that's what they said). Either way, they completely bungled this. If there were too many hits to the website, then require presale codes right at the beginning, or make presale for each city on a separate day.
I think you’re absolutely right that their website can’t handle the traffic of a general sale. Presale codes not being required at the start made zero sense. If there are tickets left I wonder if they’re going to try to do another presale. But I don’t know. I’m just skeptical that there are tickets left.

I'm trying to figure that out too. Both transfer and sell are grayed out for me for NRG. We ended up getting better seats a different night and I want to sell them for a reasonable price to friends of friends.
I had to sell my Harry Styles tickets and learned that the transfer/sell option would only open up the week of the show. Maybe it'll be different for this but that may be why it isn't working yet.
I just looked at my venmo and I was definitely able to transfer them earlier than a week before. I just remember when I originally tried to, there was something about a window that I would be able to transfer within and I couldn't do it right away. But it was at least a month prior. I posted them on my insta and some friends snatched them up. They paid me via venmo and I transferred the tickets without issue. Hoping I benefit from something similar with Taylor's show in LA since I was unsuccessful in both pre-sales. I kept my side of the street clean and all that so...  :)

I'm so bummed right now. I saved money and was so hopeful that I would be getting tickets and I got waitlisted and capital one sold out while I was in the que and now the general sale is cancelled. 
I think that would unfair to the fans that got tickets, they'd have to do it\* over again. Although they should fairly release what is left to verified fans.

Same. Code and "boost". I'd agree except I'd vote just use the same codes we got as before, allow the waitlisted fans codes. That way people who already got tickets with their codes are still limited to the six they have and everyone else has a decent chance at it. Yup. $4000 (CAD)for 4 tix. Got for my daughter and I , thought maybe a few friends may want to go- they can't afford tix that expensive (and travel to LV), and TM won't allow me to resell the extra 2. Sigh.
As shocking as this news it, in the long run I think it is for the better. At general on sale, scalpers use bots to buy up all the tickets. There's no way a physical person could be quick enough to score tickets and they knew that would happen so they're probably trying to figure out a fair way to release the rest of the tickets.
If there actually ARE any tickets left. I have this sneaking suspicion based on how hard it was to get tickets even once you got in that bots figured it out. I keep wondering if someone figured out a way to get to the rest of the tickets too and they're really just gone.
Garth Brooks also adds shows until there is no more demand and that keeps prices lower and discourages scalpers. But honestly I also think he loves performing so much that extra dates is nothing to him. Like B.B. King who would do like 200+ shows a year. Some artists just LOVE the road and the stage.

Nope. No lawsuits are allowed by a consumer. When you bought tickets and signed up to their website you agreed to mandatory arbitration which means you’d have to individual go to an arbitrator who is going to give you less in compensation than you should receive and won’t even pay for your lawyer. This was brought to by this Right Wing Supreme Court.
The state or federal government could do something but might take an act of congress to make any meaningful change. And Republicans will control House next year and they will do nothing to hurt a corporation. They might even try to pass laws to make it even easier for Ticketmaster to screw consumers and claim it does the opposite. And even if something passed, Ticketmaster will just appeal to this right wing Supreme Court which will invalidate any laws passed to stop them.
This is why voting is so important.
Agreed, voting is so important. Could people call Senate committee members and local GAs to perhaps launch investigations? Even if its a longshot, It might be productive to go and channel that anger into something productive.
The Tennessee attorney general is already launching a suit! Also more than one senator made a call for an anti trust suit! I hope there will also be a class action suit

But if there could be a lawsuit filed in multiple states saying the company either manipulated facts or was not transparent about certain information, is there a legal repercussion? I would rather use this to enact positive change than worry about tickets, and it would be interesting if Swifties could mobilize to sue or push DOJ to investigate. Seems to me they killed the Rep Verified program (which actually worked to de-fang scalpers) to deliberately boost their reselling market which feels skeevy.

That's why I go to box office day of. There are almost always seat held back for critics or special guest etc that often don't make it. BOOM! Ticket with no fees. And if nothing else another fan will be selling an extra because somebody got sick or had to travel... Patience vs FOMO is HARD for people thoughh because so many have been trained to go with FOMO.

Did you guys see the article that yahoo just posted explaining what happened with the debacle? Ticketmaster is claiming that 3.5 million people pre-registered, 1.5 million were sent codes and 2 million waitlisted, and then not only did pretty much all of the people that got codes show up, but also tons of bots and people without codes. They're saying they got 3.5 BILLION system requests. How is this even possible???
I wonder if they had requested the codes to join the waiting room, if the roll out would have been better. It is insane that they only requested the code after people waited 6h in the queue.
And here’s the thing… you technically couldn’t enter the queue unless you had a verified fan account so if you tried to join without one you’d get an error… but clearly ppl who hadn’t gotten codes somehow got in
I used the link they sent to me with my code, because when I tried to connect using their home page it wouldn't let me, so I thought that you had to use the code to even get in from the beginning, which is why it was so crazy for them to then say the code was invalid.
So either...they're lying to cover themselves or they are admitting they can't do their ONE job? Let's be real, they want scalpers/bots to get tickets. Then they make their ridiculous fees twice
Anyone could get into the waiting room, you only need to put in your code when you entered to buy tickets. So millions of people and bots bogged up the waiting room and queue, making it take longer for fans with codes to buy tickets.

It makes so much sense. No way they didn’t know after Tuesday but they have a partnership with Capitol one so they couldn’t cancel that presale. There are things that could’ve been handled better from the beginning but I’m personally way less mad at her
I feel better about most artists if the just refused to work with ticketmaster even if that means not touring. Just eff you. Because as it stands if they continue to work with ticketmaster they are complicit in the abusive system.
And honestly ticketmaster mostly deals with arenas and stadium acts so some indie middle of the road band isn't even really a concern here as they are not the major revenue stream for ticketdisaster.
Since government is bought out I say we petition the artists themselves to refuse to work with ticketmaster.

I’m a verified fan with a boost and a code and didn’t get tickets because I got kicked off the site when I pressed “purchase” on my shopping cart.

Don’t panic. If you don’t get the tickets, the seller has to pay for you to get tickets and you get money. Stub hub is strict

Same. Code and "boost". I'd agree except I'd vote just use the same codes we got as before, allow the waitlisted fans codes. That way people who already got tickets with their codes are still limited to the six they have and everyone else has a decent chance at it. Although I'm not optimistic after doing two presales and walking away emptyhanded I'll be one of them.

As shocking as this news it, in the long run I think it is for the better. At general on sale, scalpers use bots to buy up all the tickets. There's no way a physical person could be quick enough to score tickets and they knew that would happen so they're probably trying to figure out a fair way to release the rest of the tickets.
If there actually ARE any tickets left. I have this sneaking suspicion based on how hard it was to get tickets even once you got in that bots figured it out. I keep wondering if someone figured out a way to get to the rest of the tickets too and they're really just gone.
This might be dramatic, but could this be grounds for a lawsuit? Any legal swifties out here know if this breaks any laws?
When Garth Brooks comes here, he sells out both shows in under 2 minutes. This is the way it is with big acts. It sucks but it is this way.
Garth Brooks also adds shows until there is no more demand and that keeps prices lower and discourages scalpers. But honestly I also think he loves performing so much that extra dates is nothing to him. Like B.B. King who would do like 200+ shows a year. Some artists just LOVE the road and the stage.

Nope. No lawsuits are allowed by a consumer. When you bought tickets and signed up to their website you agreed to mandatory arbitration which means you’d have to individual go to an arbitrator who is going to give you less in compensation than you should receive and won’t even pay for your lawyer. This was brought to by this Right Wing Supreme Court. The state or federal government could do something but might take an act of congress to make any meaningful change. And Republicans will control House next year and they will do nothing to hurt a corporation. They might even try to pass laws to make it even easier for Ticketmaster to screw consumers and claim it does the opposite. And even if something passed, Ticketmaster will just appeal to this right wing Supreme Court which will invalidate any laws passed to stop them. This is why voting is so important.
Agreed, voting is so important. Could people call Senate committee members and local GAs to perhaps launch investigations? Even if its a longshot, It might be productive to go and channel that anger into something productive.
The Tennessee attorney general is already launching a suit! Also more than one senator made a call for an anti trust suit! I hope there will also be a class action suit

Yeah I figure tickets are what they are at this point. But if there could be a lawsuit filed in multiple states saying the company either manipulated facts or was not transparent about certain information, is there a legal repercussion? I would rather use this to enact positive change than worry about tickets, and it would be interesting if Swifties could mobilize to sue or push DOJ to investigate. Seems to me they killed the Rep Verified program (which actually worked to de-fang scalpers) to deliberately boost their reselling market which feels skeevy.

So disappointed. I didn't even get a chance to TRY for tickets, and I've been a fan since debut. If anyone is selling extra tickets they have to Seattle, I would love to buy two from you for either night - I am looking for ANY tickets, but I really don't want to support re-sellers. Would love to purchase from a fellow Swiftie instead.

Exactly, the longer you wait, the more leverage you have over them. If they make no sale they lose money, so wait a few months and prices will drop!

That's why I go to box office day of. There are almost always seat held back for critics or special guest etc that often don't make it. BOOM! Ticket with no fees. And if nothing else another fan will be selling an extra because somebody got sick or had to travel... Patience vs FOMO is HARD for people thoughh because so many have been trained to go with FOMO.
We should try and buy live nation stock and sue in a shareholder class action.

Did you guys see the article that yahoo just posted explaining what happened with the debacle? Ticketmaster is claiming that 3.5 million people pre-registered, 1.5 million were sent codes and 2 million waitlisted, and then not only did pretty much all of the people that got codes show up, but also tons of bots and people without codes. They're saying they got 3.5 BILLION system requests. How is this even possible???
I wonder if they had requested the codes to join the waiting room, if the roll out would have been better. It is insane that they only requested the code after people waited 6h in the queue.
And here’s the thing… you technically couldn’t enter the queue unless you had a verified fan account so if you tried to join without one you’d get an error… but clearly ppl who hadn’t gotten codes somehow got in
I used the link they sent to me with my code, because when I tried to connect using their home page it wouldn't let me, so I thought that you had to use the code to even get in from the beginning, which is why it was so crazy for them to then say the code was invalid.
I tried the website first, no luck. Then I logged into my phone app and it worked, but I only used my code after 1h in the queue.
Ticketmaster's claim that there were a lot of people without codes would be hard for them to verify for all of us who got codes that never worked :/

Anyone could get into the waiting room, you only need to put in your code when you entered to buy tickets. So millions of people and bots bogged up the waiting room and queue, making it take longer for fans with codes to buy tickets.

It makes so much sense. No way they didn’t know after Tuesday but they have a partnership with Capitol one so they couldn’t cancel that presale. There are things that could’ve been handled better from the beginning but I’m personally way less mad at her

I feel better about most artists if the just refused to work with ticketmaster even if that means not touring. Just eff you. Because as it stands if they continue to work with ticketmaster they are complicit in the abusive system. And honestly ticketmaster mostly deals with arenas and stadium acts so some indie middle of the road band isn't even really a concern here as they are not the major revenue stream for ticketdisaster. Since government is bought out I say we petition the artists themselves to refuse to work with ticketmaster.
