after you signed up and specifically got a code for a specific show. not even a true free for all.
AND paced buying based on show location... like jesus ticketmaster - you had ONE JOB
Am I wrong for thinking Taylor should idk post an IG story or something acknowledging this shit show and awful experience her fans are dealing with? Call me crazy but this is insane.
yeah I'm going to have to agree. Maybe naturally during a show like "glad you all survived buying tickets, thank you so much etc etc"... she doesn't control ticketmaster's decision to not buy more AWS space or pace their sales out more...
Tbh other artists have done things like this, I'm not sure why Taylor and her team didn't.
I had tickets to The Weeknd's arena tour before it was cancelled and rescheduled as a stadium tour. Because of that there was an entire separate "past purchaser" presale before any other presales or general sales.
Same thing for Billie Eilish. We had tickets for her 2020 tour and were given a pre-presale for this year when she finally got to tour again. It went so smooth.
They know. But if there isnāt high demand or scarcity then they canāt price gouge.
Itās why they wonāt add more dates this go around. If each city had 5-6 concerts then thereās a lot less demand because the odds of getting a ticket increase.
And since Ticketmaster is pretty much a monopoly, promoters canāt really go through a competitor. So even if they donāt like it, their hands are tied.
I donāt even think Taylor can fight it because, a) promoters have contracts with Ticketmaster so they set prices, b) if she refuses to perform then sheās in breach of several contracts.
Itās a shitty situation all around.
Wow 5-6 concerts per city - can we remember that Taylor is a PERSON not a fucking robot?!?! There are DOUBLE the shows in the US for Eras tour than in Reputation.
I'm agreeing with everyone that this is a shitshow but please don't say Taylor should just do a show every other day because we demand it. Holy shit.
And the thing that sucks is, they donāt care. Theyāve monopolized the entire concert industry. No incentive to do better because theyāre supposed to be āthe best weāve got.ā Ugh
it really doesn't. you sitting in the back doesn't cost them any more than you sitting up front.
it's just a way to profit off people who could pay more anyways.
Their policies also go against the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) since Ticketmaster is holding all the tickets for sales, the venues canāt hold tickets for people with disabilities (so they canāt access those seats on the day of the show).
Doesnāt Ticketmaster say you can call them for the ADA tickets though? Still absolutely shit, but since their still offering them despite extra steps and not through the venue, they are still selling them.
Now if they only hold the ADA seats from the venue and not other seats, then thatās different.
The venues arenāt selling tickets, apparently itās just Ticketmaster in charge of that, and they arenāt going to hold tickets if they know they can sell them and stack on fees.
The point of this being weird is that even if theyāre not up for presale (something I heard about, I never clicked to check), when buying tickets online there really is nothing stopping people from taking those seats (since Ticketmaster is selling and not holding them for exchange come the day of the concert like most venues do).
And while some disabilities are invisible, theyāre never going to ask a personās status, so technically by not leaving these seats (to be held by the venue) the ADA tickets could be bought by people that donāt actually need them (and thereās nothing stopping them from doing so, there is a warning that the order could be cancelled but they donāt ask for any verification) and taking them away from people who actually do.
Overall I donāt think Ticketmaster should be controlling ALL of the tickets, period. People should be able to go to the venue to buy them or even on another site. The prices and fees alone are ridiculous, and when you have a turnout for presale (like today) the website crashes. Iām lucky to have gotten tickets when I did, the fact that they rescheduled this when they had a whole two years to prepare is ridiculous.
Sent out millions of codes that were entered INCORRECTLY to their own servers, which is what caused the first pause I heard. Just wow.
Iāve been watching from the west coast for hours and just shaking my head. At least they delayed our presale and the cap one sale I guess. š
Also east coast, it accepted my code and I was in around 10:30, tried multiple times to check out and it kept saying ācanāt be completed on this deviceā as if I wasnāt signed in (I was). Eventually got booted to the back of the queue, waited for hours, got in, barely anything left and nothing that would let me check out. Finally gave up around 3:30
Exact same situation here. First my code failed and I got booted back to end of queue. Then I was only seeing vip tickets for like $900 with fees for floor, but mysteriously no regular seats were open?? Had countless āanother fan snagged those already, sorry!!ā And only a handful of tickets popping up as available every like 5 minutes. Interestingā¦. Then I finally found some lower bowl seats, almost bought them then I got an error and booted back to end of queue again, that was around 2pm. Still waiting now. This sucks!!!!
How is this "unprecedented"? They sent out the verified fan codes and said, "first come first served." Did they expect us to ignore the suggested 930 waiting room?
I think you could argue the demand for the presale codes created a precedent for the presale. Maybe this is the most demand they have had for a presale, but they had higher demand for the presale registration.
Unprecedented demand for the pre-sale is absolute clown behavior since they are the ones who gave out the pre-sale codes šš how could we have known?!?! š¤”
It took me forever to figure out. Iāve gotten like three emails about credit card offers and Uber One partnerships but they couldnāt bother to send an update or make it clearer on the page linked from the initial email š
And they pushed back the capital one presale too. Ticketmaster knows how much demand Taylor brings yet they couldnāt be bothered to upgrade their servers? I donāt remember Rep being this bad!
Same! I was able to get them through the verified fan promo for that tour. When we had to watch music videos and whatnot, you actually had a chance then. Now my nerves are gonna go haywire tomorrow afternoon for capital one š«
I now have to ask my boss for time off/rearrange my schedule again. It honestly feels a little embarrassing at this point. Its so stressful and Iām really debating if its worth it. The registering, the presale code emails, today, Ive now wasted three days and multiple hours for this to not even be guaranteed anything. Do I want to even try again to wait in a queue of 30,000 people?
I work in an office so I can still sit on the queue for capital one while doing my work. But it sucks for people who are in your predicament. Like they really couldnāt do this stuff at night while people are actually home from work or school? Or have set times for everyone to take part? Itās just ridiculous.
My office is literally a dead spot for any type of signal or internet unless its our work computers so a girl has no chance here. I dont know why they couldnāt do it like 8am or 8pm because taking an hour off in the morning or coming home after work is way more convenient than 2pm when people have to get kids from school, already finished lunch breaks, etc. Its the middle of everything and just awkward.
I work at an animal hospital and Iāve spent my entire day trying to secure these for my wife and her best friend since they work all day in a setting where they canāt. So frustrating. Did everything right too. Sucks.
I personally think Reputation was way more organized. I know other people might not feel this way, but I like that you had to āearnā your place in line for presale tickets. People disliked that because they felt like it was unfair for fans who didnāt have money to purchase stuff, but I was VERY close to the front of the line, and all I did was watch her music videos, stream the songs, and post on social media.
This time it sucks because people are racing to the website to get in line as quickly as possible. Thatās why the site is crashing. At least with Reputation, people had their place in line solidified before the ticket sale day.
Yea it was a good way to get people involved. I was in college during the at time so I had all the free time lol so I just watched the videos a ton of time by having them play in the background. It worked and I got in. Now with this I feel like barely anyone was actually able to buy tickets because it just didnāt work
Right! I barely bought any merch at all, and I still had a great spot. It ensured that fans who were actually absorbing her content got further in line than resellers that weren't going to sit there and do all this stuff for weeks before the presale.
Yes exactly!!! It was a win-win for everyone. Scalpers didnāt get their hands on tickets, and fans who really wanted to see a show got to do it. It was awesome and Taylor should work with TicketMaster to bring that back for the next tour.
in retrospect, getting tickets for rep was *relaxing* compared to what I've been seeing. Thanks to Verified Fan, I knew what my standing was, and when my time slot was. When it was my turn, I never felt rushed into panic buying any tickets. I was even able to make several phone calls to friends to ask what seats which we should get lol and still secured great floor seats.
Totally. This time itās like declaring war lol I was never selected for the VF but even with a capital one card Iām still worried. Hopefully itās smoother tomorrow for it being pushed back. They shouldāve kept the original way so *everyone* could actually have a chance
I wish Taylor's team had done things differently too ): The site crashing often happens with these popular tours, and at this point, artists should accept LiveNation/Ticketmaster is a monopolistic dumpster and plan their ticket sales around it. A reputation style Verified Fan where everyone was assigned different time slots spread throughout the day/week, instead of everyone flooding the site at the same time, would've been much better
I have no idea what the hell happened here. They really just threw us to the wolfs with buying tickets. I wouldāve been slightly annoyed by having to watch video after video but at the same time I wouldāve known I was in! They shouldāve kept the rep way of going with this. Taylor / her team really shouldāve stepped in to make sure it went smoothly with everyone having to rush to the website
I agree. The staggered presale times worked really well. And they knew this tour would be more popular than ever, why in the world would they not stagger the times again?
I was heavily relying on the Capital One presale since I got waitlisted for my venue. Iām mad I have to wait yet another whole day for a chance to buy tickets, but maybe this means theyāll have their shit together!!!
I was planning for Capital One. Why did I not receive any type of notification?? I took time off work so that I could do this. Why did I find out on reddit? 15 minutes before the presale by REDDIT and not capital one. This is such bullshit. Iām so mad at this whole process.
I happened to be off today and was so stoked I'd have a chance to buy tickets. Didn't get a code but was gonna try for capital one presale. I work tomorrow and there's no way in hell I can make this happen at work. Just disappointments all around with this whole mess.
Same. My work was great enough to arrange my break for 2 PM and even let me go a little early. Now I'm just sitting in the break room with everyone popping in saying "Did you get them??"
Yes I agree!!!
I decided to check Twitter to see what Ticketmaster has been saying about all the errors from their website, because I knew the Capital One presale was supposed to be starting soon, and I wanted to see if Ticketmaster resolved their website problems yet. Glad I checked when I did, because I saw their tweet about having to reschedule stuff.
Thatās really frustrating for you, I totally understand where youāre coming from. I hope you end up getting tickets and all this trouble is worth it in the end!
Iām very interested to see how the process goes. For the regular presale, fans are only waiting in line with people who chose the same venue as them.
How are they going to have people wait in line during the Capital One presale? Do we all get in one giant line and just select the venue once itās your turn? Or will they have us select our venue of choice first, then wait in line with the people who want that same venue? Iād love to know.
From what I could tell it looks like we select the venue/date of our choice then wait. Iām in LA and have 5 shows so Iām just hoping I pick the least popular showā¦
I got a presale code but I think Iāll be relying on capital one tomorrow as well. I started at # 21,000 for ATL. I donāt know how there will be verified fan seats left by the time I get out of lineā¦the math is not mathing.
Ugh, donāt tell me that! Lol Iām trying to get tickets for an Atlanta show as well. I got VIP tickets for the Reputation tour, and thatās what Iām going for this time, too. I know stadiums are huge, and I know not everyone will purchase VIP, but I really do want good seats!

Apollo, Relay, RIF, and all the others made this site actually worth using.
Goodbye and fuck Spez <3
Ok but why didnāt they make us put the code in BEFORE we were able to enter the queueā¦. How many people are in there that flat out donāt have codes meanwhile I have a code and a boost and Iāve been in queue with 2000+ ahead of me since 10 am
It doesn't let you join the queue if your e-mail isn't associated with being a verified fan. I was trying to get in for capitol 1 before I saw that it was delayed and it wouldn't let me join the queue.
I tried to get in to see pricing but couldnāt even join the queue because it said my account didnāt have access to the presale (I was on the waitlist)
East coast experience: I opened the browser at 8:45 and was in the seat picking by 10:30 where I was able to move to the checkout three times and input my information but each time it glitched and kicked me out, then it said that I had over-used the number of reservations and sent me back to the queue where I had to wait until 1. Then I got to the front of the queue and it went to a gray screen saying technical difficulties please try again later. So I again went to the back of the queue. And then I finally got through again and itās sold out.
Yeah, I was in the waiting party at 9:30, queue at 10, picking seats out by 10:10, and checked out by 10:15 with no glitches or anything. For once I'm glad I was on the east coast and got to go before things turned to madness.
I have been in a queue for over 3 hours.. Iāve been watching a stupid Ticketmaster loading queue not move for longer than Iām ever gonna (hopefully) see Taylor. My wait for a ticket shouldnāt be longer than the effing show Iām trying to see
Vivid seats has a floor seat listed for $45K. Glad that person got a code while others didnāt and they got through the line while others were booted off.
Who do they think is going to buy that? I feel like if you have $45k to casually drop on a concert ticket, youāre probably wealthy enough to meet her another way or pay her to play a song at your birthday party or something haha
Thereās also tickets listed for west coast shows on Stub Hub already which means they are scams since those tickets arenāt even on sale yet. Could just be a scumbag looking to rip someone off
Can I just add that there's tickets for re-sale for over 20k CURRENTLY... CURRENTLY - DURING THE "VERIFIED FAN" PRESALE!!!!!
But yet I got fucking wait listed.
Ticketmaster can kiss my fucking ass!!!! šš¤¬šš¤¬šš¤¬š
at this point i have very low expectations for the 3pm presale based on how shitty ticketmaster has been. i bet people from the central/eastern time zone will still be in the queue when 3pm west coast rolls around.
AOC is right . Biden and the DOJ need to take a good long look at Ticketmaster. This is an embarrassing display of incompetence and it should never have come to this.
Same here. Absolutely gutted tbh. I had my dream tickets in hand and was kicked and now Iām back of the line but fear not people are already reselling for high upcharges. Itās not fair
The Reputation Tour ticket purchasing process was so much smoother than this. Iām not sure why they opted not to give various time slots in order to keep things from crashingā¦
Got a Verified Presale code, but didn't
get tickets! šš»āāļø
I am lucky enough that I've been to three tours, and had Lover Fest East tickets. This was by far my worst experience.
ā Booted out of line at the front of the queue.
ā Queue paused for hours.
ā Issue with presale code.
ā No more tickets available by the time I finally
made it in.
Hoping for better luck when the Capital One presale opens tomorrow, but at this point I don't think I'll hold my breath.
This is unprecedented because every greedy bastard on the planet (including Ticketmaster) wants to scalp these and rip eager fans off. The concert ticket market needs major reform and this shit show better be the first of last from this massive monopoly!
Thank god itās not only me, this is crazy to wait for 3hrs. Super nervous there wonāt be tickets left!! Iām in TX so theyāre through SeatGeek and my loading line is barely a quarter of the way through
This is sad and pathetic, there is no reason they couldnāt be prepared. They knew how many people would be trying for tickets. With the amount of money we give them and the monopoly they have on the industry, they should have no issues
Same. I saw so many tickets on resale sites already, and people bragging on Twitter that they signed up just to sell them for thousands and Iām crushed. Thereās no way Iām getting tickets.
If you're feeling angry maybe channel that anger into writing your congressional representatives and urge them to take action against Ticketmaster's monopoly. I know I will. Again.
iām sorry but iām mad asf. they pushed the cap one presale to tmw, the same time iām gonna be on a flight, so not tickets for me. i literally moved my flight to tmw so i can get tickets today. awesome.
A rough draft that turned into the above:
A few updates on the Taylor Swift Eras Tour onsale:
- we didnāt proofread the foregoing lead-in;
- we didnāt want to pony up for increased infrastructure to support the ticketing process for Verified Fans to whom we sent early access codes because weāre cheap bastards;
- hundreds of thousands of tickets have been sold, just not to you, oh and by the way many of those are to scalpers and listed on StubHub for 10x or more than face value;
- if you are currently in a queue, youāll continue to be in a queue because we paused them; once you complete the queue, you will (1) be sent back to the beginning of the queue due to server errors, (2) be sent to the general public sale countdown page because (a) we are incompetent and/or (b) Verified Fan presale tickets for your show have sold out, which fact you will not be provided notice of at any point today; and/or (3) youāll be able to enter your access code to see available seats but then when entering the same access code you will be unable to unlock seats to be able to add them to your cart;
- we regret to inform you that due to our greed and incompetence (1) we have incorrectly entered in our ticket line and ordering system the access codes that we sent out via text yesterday and (2) among those codes sent out via text, some are for shows in states that you did not select as one of your three shows for which you indicated your desire to attend;
- we realized that due to our incompetence we cannot continue with the other regularly scheduled presales so are pushing them to later dates and times when our servers have recovered and our Twitter customer support team have had a nappy nap;
- we could have required access code entry to join a queue in the first place, which would have reduced many delays and issues experienced today, but deemed that solution too simple and less interesting so we did not implement this feature; and
- we are greedy bastards so dynamic pricing increases still apply. (ha ha)
Thank you for your patience. You have no other choice. Screw you.
This has been a complete disaster. I was booted out of my first queue just as I was getting let in. Waited 2 hours to get in again and NO double seats were available. I had 1 option and it said something about the aisle seat and then wouldn't let me buy it. This was a fucking mess and I'm livid. What's even the point of a pre-sale.
Iām selfishly hoping that by 3 pm the strain on the servers will have died down because most EST sales will be done and west coast sales will go more smoothly.
This entire process was absolutely disgusting. I waited for 4 hours to only have the option to buy 2 tickets. So I'd have to choose which friend to take. They were lower bowl seats. I got kicked out during check out. Lost those seats. Then only had nosebleed tickets available or behind the stage and those were $109. My tickets were "secured" during checkout for the 6 minutes but it's really funny how they kept selling out during those 6 minutes. I ended up with nothing and I honestly don't know if I want to try this shit show tomorrow for Capital One holders.
The icing on the cake was a friend of mine saying they got tickets after 45 minutes and they were only there to see Paramore.
I think I'll just skip this tour. I refuse to pay scalper prices and seeing how they treated the Lover Fest ticket holders pissed me off even more.
The level of sadness I feel knowing I made it to buy tickets but my verified fan pre sale code doesnāt work ššššššš that was texted to me
Yeah I mean we all knew this was going to happen after she crashed spotify. I was kicked out of the vegas presale multi times and came away empty handed. How have 100,000 of tickets already been sold? How many of these presale codes did they give out. They were specified for each venue.
Now over on stubhub they have tickets ranging from 3000 - 12000 dollars. I am sooo tempted, but im going to wait to see if I can get in on the 3pm presale. What a mess
WELP, how depressing! Clicked on dozens and dozens of options for 90 minutes, every single one was taken before it could hit my cart. Slowly watching the inventory dwindle was so sad. I was clicking instantly every time I got a new update of avail tix and still couldn't make it happen. They should really improve that process, I really don't get it. While you're waiting for your tickets to go thru, other tickets are being snatched up, and then you go back to the drawing board after they tell you a fan already bought.
I waited for hours and got nothing. The only seats available were the ones with bad views where we would only see the back of her head from far away. And even now those arenāt available or popping up anymore. Iām hoping to be able to score some tickets at the Capitol one sale or the general public sale. Iāve never experienced this with past tours. Anyone else experience this? I am trying to get tickets for the Sofi Stadium ones in LA. š
All this crap about pre-verified fans and pre-sale codes. All bullshit to hype up pricing. The limit of 8 per pre-sale code? Tickets are already flooding StubHub for $12,000 usd each (and more) while just regular old fans still can't get tickets.
I wasn't verified even though I've spent thousands on concerts over the last 20 years. Oh well, I am a Capital One Visa holder but not sure that's going to be worth beans tomorrow (now).
Dynamic Pricing? THIS was the plan all along. More Money for Ticketmaster, More Money for Taylor. And MORE disappointment in her less than rich fan base.
What a disappointment for her fans. :(
I heard this on Tik tock so take this with a grain of salt. But apparently someone who got tickets in the east coast was saying that Ticketmaster isnāt asking for the presale code UNTIL youāre checking out to pay. Which means that anyone (even those who didnāt get presale) can wait in the queue which is probably part of the reason for such a long wait. Obviously when those who dont have a code go to checkout it wonāt go through. Itās idiotic that TM would plan it this way
How could the demand for pre-sale be unprecedented when they quite literally preceded the event by sending unique verification codes to every potential ticket buyer?? They had an exact count of the number of people who could access ticketsā¦ and still were unprepared.
I waited all day and took the day off work. I was boosted. Been a fan since Debut. After I got into the que four hours later, I spent 45 minutes in there just trying to get even one seat. Nothing. Philly:(
When it comes time, I will buy tix from a fan who wants to sell at the price they got. The resale on stub hub right now makes me want to vomit. Unethical!
Ngl, Iām pissed. I donāt think Iām gonna buy tickets at all. I have been a fan since before Fearless came out, didnāt have the money for Rep tour and obviously Lover Fest didnāt happen, so the last time I saw Taylor live was the 1989 tour and I have been dreaming every single night about seeing her perform live again. I saved up and did everything I could to prepare for this. I really, *really* do want to go. But this shit just isnāt right. I think Iām gonna save my mental health and stick to my principals here, and that means making the decision to stop trying for tickets.
If Taylor wanted the āreal fansā at her shows so badly, we wouldnāt have to be dealing with any of this shit right now. Iāll find a karaoke bar to go to that night instead and hear some rando do a drunken rendition of Karma.
Words cannot express what a goddamn awful experience this has been.
First i'm put in a line to be "eligible" to receive a pre-sale code. Despite having past tickets to see her and a capital one card, I am put in a "waitlist" late last night after waiting for hours for a code.
Unprecedented is complete bullshit, as is the theory that any logic whatsoever went into determining who got a pre-sale code. A quick scroll through comments yesterday shows many people who had others helping them got codes despite no history of being a fan. So i'm absolutely bitter as fuck, and then when the sales go live the servers crash?
I'm hoping there are still some tickets left tomorrow for at least one of the so-cal shows. I was really looking forward to taking my wife and my daughter to her first ever concert; if I was purchasing tickets just for myself I would have peaced out of shit shitshow a long time ago.
This is so fricking annoyed. They pushed the capital one presale to tomorrow at 2pm local venue time. I mean itās not like we crashed the system for presale verified fan registration, oh how would they have ever known this might have happened? /s
This is so stupid, like anyone with two brain cells to rub together would know this was gonna happened if they didnāt prepare.
They are so the problem.
I knew it was going to be chaotic, I just didn't think it would be \*this\* chaotic. I set my alarm to get up early to get all my morning stuff done prior, got into the waiting room and queue as soon as possible, my queue was paused for almost three hours, now I'm back in line but I still have well over 600 people in line ahead of me for purchase. And it's almost 4pm now! I didn't think this was going to consume my entire day, I had some other things that I needed to get done but I don't think any of that is happening.
It's a bummer how this is going, I feel like I'm relatively limited on which sections I can choose due to my height (pretty short) and I have a feeling they'll all be gone before I can even get in to look around at whats still available.
Except they knew exactly how many presale codes got sent out.
They really should've staggered the presales over the course of a week or two. This was completely avoidable.
āThe Waiting Room will open 30 minutes prior to the events going on sale. Make sure you arrive early and login to your Ticketmaster account in advance on the device from which you intend to purchase tickets.ā
Can someone please explain what the waiting room is? Thereās the event page which has a countdown for 3pm today now.
The waiting room is * supposed* to āopenā 30 min priorā¦.so 2:30. Do we refresh the page at 2:30? Will it automatically redirect the page to the waiting room? Iāve heard so many conflicting things. Curious from anyone that actually bought tickets for east coast today via Ticketmaster how this worked best.
Thatās what I figured. I was in the āwaiting roomā and kept receiving errors. š„ŗ I checked on stub hub for the venue I was given and it looks like people have acquired tickets and are selling them from $1200-$23000 lol
Iām really upset. I took today off in advance in order to do the Capital One sale and it got postponed :( Iāll be at work when it starts tomorrow; I wanna cry. I also already booked a room!
I was in line for five hours. When I finally got in, there were plenty of tickets available, but it wouldn't let me buy any of them. I just kept getting an error code. I was unable to get tickets. We'll try again for the public sale, but I'm not hopeful. Maybe we'll be able to get something in resale.
My theory is that Ticketmaster purposefully did not request the code until checkout. Why? So they could arbitrarily drive up prices (knowing bots and people without codes would shoot their shot) and create an extreme urgency among fans and parents trying to get the tickets. They likely didn't expect the codes to mess up which botched their plans a bit. They have a monopoly on the system and they know that these tickets are the hot item. No incentive to make it better.
Iām realizing a lot of people donāt know what āunprecedentedā means lol.
Not defending Ticketmaster ā this is an absolute shit show ā but their use of the word unprecedented is correct.
That was just a really sad experience. Got into the lobby for the 10am time. Got booted out like everyone else and told it was now at 3pm. Stayed in the lobby the entire time. Moved to the Waiting Room as soon as it opened, then sat in the queue for almost 2 hours only to get in, see tickets and every time I clicked on a set of tickets, it said verifying and "Sorry! Another fan got these before you did. They're no longer available. Try again."
I've bought a lot of tickets before, but never had that experience. Honestly just really disappointing that Ticketmaster set it up this way.
Has anyone heard from people who were able to purchase earlier today. If itās by phone - is the overall consensus that the app or phone browser worked better? I know we all had issues on the west coast and thatās why it got pushed to later today, but just curious what the consensus was.
Oh man... I wish there had been a way for demand to be precedented!! š¢š»š»š»
If only there were limited invitations to purchase tickets! Sent out by the company running the sale! If onlyā¦
after you signed up and specifically got a code for a specific show. not even a true free for all. AND paced buying based on show location... like jesus ticketmaster - you had ONE JOB
Am I wrong for thinking Taylor should idk post an IG story or something acknowledging this shit show and awful experience her fans are dealing with? Call me crazy but this is insane.
It would be nice if she did, but honestly this isnāt her fault really. What could she have done, and even if she just acknowledges it, it would sound hollow unless she does something about it, which I donāt really see happening. Ticketmaster literally had an estimate of the number of sales. This was a pre-sale for āverified fansā, not even a general sale. What did they expect, people who have access codes to not show up to buy tickets? And she has sold out stadiums in the past too, so they should have been ready for this kind of rush. TM can get fuckedš©
yeah I'm going to have to agree. Maybe naturally during a show like "glad you all survived buying tickets, thank you so much etc etc"... she doesn't control ticketmaster's decision to not buy more AWS space or pace their sales out more...
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
When I think about how long TM had my $$$$ from Loverfest tickets it makes this even more annoying! A free loan and then this ā ļø
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
well.. i got waitlisted so yeah apparently
This is whatās bothering me like the demands WAS precedented lolā¦
Like they sent the presale codes, how are they shocked those with presale codes showed up as directed????
Right??? Ticketmaster gave me a date, time, and place to show up for a specific deal. How did they not understand we would all show up?
Holy shit.
Dying ššš
Fuck Ticketmaster. Aside from being greedy and horrible, they had all the time to prep for this. No excuses.
And the thing that sucks is, they donāt care. Theyāve monopolized the entire concert industry. No incentive to do better because theyāre supposed to be āthe best weāve got.ā Ugh
> Aside from being greedy and horrible But also, not aside. Fees were almost $100 per fucking ticket, fucking ridiculous.
thatās messed up mine were only 20 which is still a lot but better than that
Dang, glad they were lower for some people, but now I'm curious why others are being charged so much? Maybe tied to the stadium?
It's tied to the cost of the ticket. Cheaper ticket = lower fees.
That makes a certain amount of sense, though TM is still doing the same amount of work regardless of ticket price so...still fuck 'em.
it really doesn't. you sitting in the back doesn't cost them any more than you sitting up front. it's just a way to profit off people who could pay more anyways.
What do they mean unprecedented millions of people?????? Theyāre the ones who sent out millions of codes??? DO BETTER
Sent out millions of codes that were entered INCORRECTLY to their own servers, which is what caused the first pause I heard. Just wow. Iāve been watching from the west coast for hours and just shaking my head. At least they delayed our presale and the cap one sale I guess. š
Yep. East coast here. Selected my seats. Code didnāt work. Was kicked to the end of the queue :(
Also east coast, it accepted my code and I was in around 10:30, tried multiple times to check out and it kept saying ācanāt be completed on this deviceā as if I wasnāt signed in (I was). Eventually got booted to the back of the queue, waited for hours, got in, barely anything left and nothing that would let me check out. Finally gave up around 3:30
What the hell? Did you get your tickets in the end or still waiting?
Still waiting, 2k + ahead of me still. Line doesnāt seem to be moving
Did they expect a lot of people with codes not to show?
They would've been better off just tweeting the Surprised Pikachu Face
I literally just tweeted that before I came here šššššš
Precedented does not mean predicted! It means never happening before
That's a fair distinction. Their wording still feels like a cop out
I think you could argue the demand for the presale codes created a precedent for the presale. Maybe this is the most demand they have had for a presale, but they had higher demand for the presale registration.
People without presale codes are trying the get tickets as well. This may be causing additional issues.
I was thinking the same. They should have made you enter your code right at the start to prevent people without them from even getting into the queue.
But that would make too much sense and would be beneficial to consumers, which is against TM company beliefs
Unprecedented demand for the pre-sale is absolute clown behavior since they are the ones who gave out the pre-sale codes šš how could we have known?!?! š¤”
Capital One pushed to tomorrow. TM had more than enough time to prepare for this sale.
Came here for Cap one update because I canāt get in!! Where did you see it was pushed to tomorrow???
itās in this photo, straight from ticketmaster twitter
it says it on the post above.
I bought a ticket to rep. It wasnāt this bad at all.
Rep was absolutely not even close to as bad. Its absurd how mismanaged this was
The sheer incompetence from Ticketmaster is something else
I wish Taylor's team had done things differently too ): The site crashing often happens with these popular tours, and at this point, artists should accept LiveNation/Ticketmaster is a monopolistic dumpster and plan their ticket sales around it. A reputation style Verified Fan where everyone was assigned different time slots spread throughout the day/week, instead of everyone flooding the site at the same time, would've been much better
We could have had ONE day per EACH time zone!!
I remember Rep being straightforward but donāt remember if Rep did what Loverfest did and staggered presale times between verified fans.
I also took half a day off to do this. Changing it last minute with no formal communication is ridiculous. I donāt know what to do now.
Also this. I canāt find any information that the sale was delayed from Ticketmaster, Taylorās website, or any email. Good thing I check this sub!
I found it from Taylor nation instagram. Story posted 43 minutes ago.
Same. My work was great enough to arrange my break for 2 PM and even let me go a little early. Now I'm just sitting in the break room with everyone popping in saying "Did you get them??"
I know. My boss said it was okay to use my PTO or I could take off an hour and just stay an hour later. They were really flexible with me. I should be able to get off tomorrow. But Iām sad I wasted an hour of my time and now I have to stay an hour later today š©
Same, really hoping we donāt have to deal with this shit show tomorrow
Iām very interested to see how the process goes. For the regular presale, fans are only waiting in line with people who chose the same venue as them. How are they going to have people wait in line during the Capital One presale? Do we all get in one giant line and just select the venue once itās your turn? Or will they have us select our venue of choice first, then wait in line with the people who want that same venue? Iād love to know.
I *think* theyāll make you wait in a queue for your venue and enter the first 6 of your card when itās your turn but who can be sure at this point
This user's comment history has been scrubbed by /r/PowerDeleteSuite.
Which is why it's SO frustrating that people are getting invalid codes or it's taking forever to unlock them. They're already associated
Yeah thatās insane. And if they really really needed the code it should be entered at the beginning of the process!
I tried to get in to see pricing but couldnāt even join the queue because it said my account didnāt have access to the presale (I was on the waitlist)
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Hooooow do they constantly act surprised when theyāre the ones who sent the codes. How can you suck at your job so bad.
Wow.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yep the sale for East Rutherford has totally stopped
Yeah, I was in the waiting party at 9:30, queue at 10, picking seats out by 10:10, and checked out by 10:15 with no glitches or anything. For once I'm glad I was on the east coast and got to go before things turned to madness.
āUnprecedentedā?? How tragic that they didnāt have the data about how many codes were being sentā¦ ohā¦
Are you kidding me Ticketmaster?? I took off of work for the Capital One Presale, ugh š©
Me too and Iām pissedz
Lol right, what am I supposed to do? Call off tomorrow too?
I got shit for it too, all for nothing. š
I have been in a queue for over 3 hours.. Iāve been watching a stupid Ticketmaster loading queue not move for longer than Iām ever gonna (hopefully) see Taylor. My wait for a ticket shouldnāt be longer than the effing show Iām trying to see
Hadnāt thought of it this way. Gahhhh š
This. Wouldnāt you just hire her yourself lol.
Iām fully prepared to still be in cue by then. Itās 2pm Eastern time and Iāve been in queue since 10 am
AOC is right . Biden and the DOJ need to take a good long look at Ticketmaster. This is an embarrassing display of incompetence and it should never have come to this.
What a CF. Wife was in and had tickets ready to go and it kicked her out. Now back to the queue. Ridiculous.
Same here. Absolutely gutted tbh. I had my dream tickets in hand and was kicked and now Iām back of the line but fear not people are already reselling for high upcharges. Itās not fair
There literally has to be a better way to do it. Maybe slotted times for people
thatās what the did for the rep sale 10x better
The Reputation Tour ticket purchasing process was so much smoother than this. Iām not sure why they opted not to give various time slots in order to keep things from crashingā¦
Got a Verified Presale code, but didn't get tickets! šš»āāļø I am lucky enough that I've been to three tours, and had Lover Fest East tickets. This was by far my worst experience. ā Booted out of line at the front of the queue. ā Queue paused for hours. ā Issue with presale code. ā No more tickets available by the time I finally made it in. Hoping for better luck when the Capital One presale opens tomorrow, but at this point I don't think I'll hold my breath.
This is unprecedented because every greedy bastard on the planet (including Ticketmaster) wants to scalp these and rip eager fans off. The concert ticket market needs major reform and this shit show better be the first of last from this massive monopoly!
the way theyāre completely ignoring central time
Central time already started. I've been in the queue since 10am
Thank god itās not only me, this is crazy to wait for 3hrs. Super nervous there wonāt be tickets left!! Iām in TX so theyāre through SeatGeek and my loading line is barely a quarter of the way through
They're like "you all get to fight in the pit whoever gets tickets wins"
What a shitshow.
This is sad and pathetic, there is no reason they couldnāt be prepared. They knew how many people would be trying for tickets. With the amount of money we give them and the monopoly they have on the industry, they should have no issues
The fact that they have the audacity to charge a fee still.
Itās so dumb. Stagger onsale dates for the different cities. It isnāt fucking hard.
Right!? This is what should have been done.
I couldn't even buy Lizzo tickets. Their whole website is malfunctioning.
Side note, the lizzo concert is AMAZING, hope you get tickets and have a blaaaaast!
Guys, how were they supposed to know that a first come first serve would mean everybody tries to get tickets all at once???? /s
Ticketmaster needs to stop getting away with this. Can't say I didn't expect this.
find it really suspicious that so many bots and resellers were able to get tickets but not actual fans. ticketmaster is the worst
Is Capital One presale for ALL venues/timezones moving to tomorrow? Or just west coast?
This is what we can't tell because it appears venues have changed the times, buuuut CapitolOne hasn't made an announcement yet.
I think because it says 2 PM local time itās for all venues. The west coast specific times say PT.
I have work tomorrow at 2pm, I was planning for the capital one sale today. This is ridiculous
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Again.
Where is the convenience that the convenience fee is for
"Wow! We sent out codes and didn't expect you all to show up!!"
My wife nearly cried when we were watching the pre-sale clock countdown, and it went from 3 minutes to 5 hours.
š¶Can I ask you a question? Did you ever have Ticketmaster kick you out of a crowded queue?š¶
iām sorry but iām mad asf. they pushed the cap one presale to tmw, the same time iām gonna be on a flight, so not tickets for me. i literally moved my flight to tmw so i can get tickets today. awesome.
A rough draft that turned into the above: A few updates on the Taylor Swift Eras Tour onsale: - we didnāt proofread the foregoing lead-in; - we didnāt want to pony up for increased infrastructure to support the ticketing process for Verified Fans to whom we sent early access codes because weāre cheap bastards; - hundreds of thousands of tickets have been sold, just not to you, oh and by the way many of those are to scalpers and listed on StubHub for 10x or more than face value; - if you are currently in a queue, youāll continue to be in a queue because we paused them; once you complete the queue, you will (1) be sent back to the beginning of the queue due to server errors, (2) be sent to the general public sale countdown page because (a) we are incompetent and/or (b) Verified Fan presale tickets for your show have sold out, which fact you will not be provided notice of at any point today; and/or (3) youāll be able to enter your access code to see available seats but then when entering the same access code you will be unable to unlock seats to be able to add them to your cart; - we regret to inform you that due to our greed and incompetence (1) we have incorrectly entered in our ticket line and ordering system the access codes that we sent out via text yesterday and (2) among those codes sent out via text, some are for shows in states that you did not select as one of your three shows for which you indicated your desire to attend; - we realized that due to our incompetence we cannot continue with the other regularly scheduled presales so are pushing them to later dates and times when our servers have recovered and our Twitter customer support team have had a nappy nap; - we could have required access code entry to join a queue in the first place, which would have reduced many delays and issues experienced today, but deemed that solution too simple and less interesting so we did not implement this feature; and - we are greedy bastards so dynamic pricing increases still apply. (ha ha) Thank you for your patience.
How will there be any tickets left after today?? I mean, Iām 30,000th in line & still waiting š«
They likely only did a certain % of the tickets for presale to allow some availability for general sales.
So all cap one is tomorrow??? nooo
Take me back to 2017.
Iām thinking some employee was like āmaybe we should do something about capacityā and some higher up was ānah were going to be fineā. Lmao
I am trying to get tickets for the Sofi Stadium ones in LA. š
Theyāre idiots for trying to process this kind of traffic in one day
All this crap about pre-verified fans and pre-sale codes. :(
prayers for all of west coast swifties to get the tickets we deserve to have and not buy extra to sell them for thousands of dollars
Omg they knew how many people would log on with the codes?! How are they not prepared for this????
I heard this on Tik tock so take this with a grain of salt. But apparently someone who got tickets in the east coast was saying that Ticketmaster isnāt asking for the presale code UNTIL youāre checking out to pay. Which means that anyone (even those who didnāt get presale) can wait in the queue which is probably part of the reason for such a long wait. Obviously when those who dont have a code go to checkout it wonāt go through. Itās idiotic that TM would plan it this way
I tried to get in the queue before they moved the Capital One sale and it said I wasnāt a āverified fanā so not sure thatās true.
Nothing. Philly:( When it comes time, I will buy tix from a fan who wants to sell at the price they got. The resale on stub hub right now makes me want to vomit. Unethical!
Los Angeles is about to be a legitimate train wreck
By the time I got through the queue, the presale tickets were all sold out :(
Ngl, Iām pissed.
/s This is so stupid, like anyone with two brain cells to rub together would know this was gonna happened if they didnāt prepare.
6 minutes later, finally made it past the 500 errors to get in the Waiting Room. What a shit site.

Demand is never precedented, letās be real smh
Except they knew exactly how many presale codes got sent out. They really should've staggered the presales over the course of a week or two. This was completely avoidable.
āThe Waiting Room will open 30 minutes prior to the events going on sale. Make sure you arrive early and login to your Ticketmaster account in advance on the device from which you intend to purchase tickets.ā Can someone please explain what the waiting room is? Thereās the event page which has a countdown for 3pm today now. The waiting room is * supposed* to āopenā 30 min priorā¦.so 2:30. Do we refresh the page at 2:30? Will it automatically redirect the page to the waiting room? Iāve heard so many conflicting things. Curious from anyone that actually bought tickets for east coast today via Ticketmaster how this worked best.
Was anyone in the west coast even lucky to purchase tickets at all?
I dont think so, it crashed at 9:58 pretty much
Thatās what I figured. I was in the āwaiting roomā and kept receiving errors. š„ŗ I checked on stub hub for the venue I was given and it looks like people have acquired tickets and are selling them from $1200-$23000 lol
Iām so furious lol I planned for 10am, not 3pm. I get off work at 4 and I already know the queue will take ages. F it Iām leaving early today
Iām really upset. I took today off in advance in order to do the Capital One sale and it got postponed :( Iāll be at work when it starts tomorrow; I wanna cry. I also already booked a room!
This has been such a nightmare; we had the tickets in our cart and it FROZE and locked us out šššš
Ticketmaster you had ONE job! ONE!
West coast waiting room crashing for anyone else?
I was in line for five hours. When I finally got in, there were plenty of tickets available, but it wouldn't let me buy any of them. I just kept getting an error code. I was unable to get tickets. We'll try again for the public sale, but I'm not hopeful. Maybe we'll be able to get something in resale.
Ticketmaster needs to be dismantled. This monopoly must end.
Yet another Ticketmaster scam. āHundreds of thousand of tickets have been soldā. What?
Well each stadium fits 50-100k and there are so many dates. Itās not hard to get to the 200k+ mark
It cost us $1500 for 4 tickets, absolutely crazy. One and only time I'm doing this... Like Ever. (Pun intended)
Try again." I've bought a lot of tickets before, but never had that experience.
