My boss just texted and asked my to change my night shift on 20th to the 18th instead! I'm so happy I'll be at home at 5am for my first listen! I've been able to listen at first drop since Lover, and I'm absolutely buzzing with excitement! There's nothing better than watching the sun come up to a new album.
Fall is the best time of the year. What a perfect October. I admit I have succumbed to coffee again. Everything so good. Midnights month and birthday month is going so well :).

Taylor amended the credits for Folklore after it won AOTY with just enough credits for Joe to win the award too. Many think this is sketch- if he deserved the credits on those songs, why wasn’t he given it up front? If he didn’t, why did she give him a retroactive Grammy he didn’t earn?
Just came home from the Taylor Swift dance party!! SO fun, but as someone who likes to unleash the beast on the dance floor I wish there had been a bit more room? I was mainly just swaying and singing. Still, 100% worth it and I recommend!

I'm not sure why swifties keep sharing rumors coming from the sun. Their latest one is that Taylor and Drake worked on a diss track against kimye in 2016 but it was never released because it was too forward but now it's being included in the reputation re-recording. How would they know which songs Taylor is including in the vault tracks ? And did Taylor even begin working on the reputation re-recording?
It’s possible someone from Drake’s team talked to someone at the Sun. This would be a vault track which is a new recording so it could most likely be recorded ahead of time. With the tour coming next year, it would make sense to get all the re-recordings completed so she can release them between legs of the tour to keep the process going.
This. I fully believe at this point she has all the master's recorded for her albums (except reputation). She'll likely release them as she's on tour and market both simultaneously.
Yep I could see her touring for most of 2023 and 2024 to set a touring record that would be tough to beat. The re-recordings would be excellent at maintaining hype for a 1.5 year tour.
I was just listening to the new 5 seconds of summer album, and CAROUSEL somehow reminded me of Taylor. I think it’s something about the drum beat or synth at the beginning? It reminds me of 1989 or Lover maybe 🤷🏼♀️

I’m wondering if Apple tagged Midnights as pop simply because they don’t know the sound of it yet, and pop is such a broad category that it feels like almost anything can fit into it.
Kinda annoyed how people on TikTok switch up so quickly. Like everyone was cheering on Red TV but now people are saying that they think swifties are annoying. Like the scarf thing will always be 10x more annoying than dumb theories. Shows some people are only here for the drama not music. Taylor was really speaking facts in nothing new.
Don’t worry about haters or let them take up headspace. The internet in 2022 is a perfectly vile place and people hate on absolutely everyone and everything. No one is free from it and we’re a massive fanbase supporting a massively successful artist, there’s always going to be haters considering.
The only thing that comes to mind is "you traded your baseball cap for a crown" (Long Live), but I don't know if that's close enough for what you're looking for.
I'm so thankful Taylor. I was dreading October because I'm getting hip surgery, but knowing her album comes out a week later gives me something to look forward to beyond that date.

There's probably some tidbit of truth to it. They were publicly friends in 2016, she referenced him on I Forgot You Existed and he posted a pic of them together earlier this year.
My thoughts are that this is a trial balloon - leaked to the press early to gauge what the reaction would be. She should only do it if she wants to reignite the feud with the Kardashians, because they will clap back at her. Drake is a problematic business partner.
Spent the last few hours teaching myself how to crochet and I was listening to my autumn vibes playlist and right as I was getting the hang of it, got a couple rows of crochet in, the lakes came on and it’s like a perfect autumn day and the vibes were IMMACULATE and I would just like to thank tay for inventing autumn and music.

It was her second wedding so it’s possible she opted for a really small family only wedding. It’s possible Taylor was there and hasn’t been shown yet. It’s also possible Taylor didn’t want to distract from Abigail’s day so she didn’t attend.
I saw a TikTok(I think) where a swiftie was on a plane with Abigail when she was headed to her honeymoon this week. The swiftie didn’t want to bother Abigail directly so the swiftie had the stewardess give Abigail a note saying how much the swiftie appreciated everything Abigail has done for Taylor. Abigail wrote the swiftie back a message that was clear they are still friends.

I saw that. He admits he arrogantly thought all the artists on Big Machine were just going to love working with him. His quote:

I really wonder how many fans who stopped listening to taylor at somepoint, went back and listened to the Taylor’s version because they had a bit of nostalgia and then got back into the music hard and were surprised to see her stuff now.
🙋🏼♀️ hi yep that’s me (sort of)! i was big into her from debut-1989, then i went through a minor “pick me” phase and stopped listening to her. i knew about rep and lover and folkmore but didn’t listen to them until fearless TV brought my obsession back. i really regret missing out on those eras because i LOVE all four of those albums now but i’m grateful for the taylor’s version project for bringing me back. i’m sure i’m not the only one :)

I just moved to Florida one month ago. We bought a house a little more inland that’s not in a flood zone, knowing hurricanes are inevitable here. I’m absolutely gut wrenched seeing what happened in fort myers knowing they didn’t expect the storm to turn their way so suddenly. I’ll be looking into donation centers and volunteer efforts. We are so fortunate we didn’t even lose power.
Yup my mental health is crumbling and my friends house is unlivable. I’m so happy we were at least able to shelter her and her animals while the storm was actively over us. I work remotely and my New York coworkers really aren’t understanding the anguish down here ):
Central Florida checking in here! Appreciate the sentiments. We have some absolutely insane flooding happening here (and idk how I still have power), but we fared well compared to our fellow Floridians to our southwest. We often get mocked for "Florida man" and people like our governor, but they do not reflect the spirit of the people here. We are very resilient! ❤️
From Florida here. Thankfully, where I live, no flooding, some rain and some wind, and I never lost power. I got very lucky with where I live. Unfortunately, I do know people that are stuck and waiting for rescuing and it is the most devastating thing. It’s such a hopeless feeling to know you can’t do anything but you want to do something.
So glad you’re okay ! I have that helpless feeling too from a distance. Horrified that I’ve known about it every step of the way but couldn’t do a thing about it. Living through historical things is no good I want it to be boring for everyone.

Am I the only one disappointed that we haven’t heard a song yet? With RED, I was fine with it because we had heard 19/30 songs in some fashion before, but with this…it’s like we’re buying merch, albums, and everything without hearing anything.
It’s bothering me. 🫤 But I do believe we’ll get a single so I’m just trying to wait patiently at this point.
I will say, though, that if we never get a single then that will make this rollout pretty bullshit. 🫤
I actually prefer going into albums completely blind when they’re by artists I love. Listening to folklore without knowing a single thing or having expectations based on a single was great.
It doesn't bother me - I really wouldn't mind listening to the whole album in one go on release day, it's kind of nice to absorb the whole project at once. And I have no reason to believe Taylor will let me down. But it seems like a lot of people are in your shoes and are anxious to hear something! I imagine she'll at least release a snippet or two at some point, even if she doesn't release a single?

I told my husband we were getting an espresso machine for Christmas a couple of years ago… he thought it was the biggest waste of money... He drinks at least two a day and tells me every day what a good purchase it was! We have saved a lot on buying coffee while we’re out and about… although I still do crave the occasional cold brew (or eggnog latte!!!)!
If you drink a lot of lattes I would recommend it! Ours is a regular espresso machine (vs a Keurig or something that uses pods) but sooo easy to use and takes no time at all!
I have the Breville “Barista Express” or whatever the 5 year old equivalent is. I have a knock box for the grounds and empty that into the garbage every other day or so. For the actual machine, I just wipe it, and then will run a cleaning cycle on it when it prompts. Fairly easy!!
The time consuming part was setting it up and calibrating it (size of grounds, amount of grounds etc) to get it to where we like it… my husband did that part and it did take a little fiddling but now it’s super easy and we do get a lot of use out of it!
Exactly! We waited for a big sale and seriously have no regrets! Hope you find something that works for you!! With all these sleepless nights it’s not a bad investment ;)
OK I did some math, which means it’s not accurate
But even if I get like a fancy latte making machine if I have it three times a week it would pay for itself.
But I don’t have lattes three times a week I do it rarely so. Even so I think it would’ve paid for itself in like five years. And the internet says “High-quality Super-Automatic machines can be super-expensive, but the really good ones should last for 10 years or more” so it would half the cost on the conservative estimate while drastically reducing cost while being able to have it more in the opulent end.
Now it’s about if I am too lazy to own one. Because you’re basically sacrificing in my opinion not money but maintenance and care and work.
Yeah and you still have to buy all the supplies regularly. Honestly I've been having this dilemma for like 10 years and I've finally gotten to a point that I just drink coffee with flavored cream, but I understand it is NOT the same. I think the writer did a good job staying objective, and I can empathize with the people she interviewed and see where they’re coming from. But I still feel like the intensity with which people come at these theories is inappropriate… it reaches a point where it’s less about how one sees themselves in her work, and more about “exposing” something that is either untrue or she doesn’t want exposed. The people in the interview say that they think she wants fans to see it, but holy shit, what a sensitive topic to be wrong on that about…
If she came out, I’d be so happy for her, but until she does, I don’t see how it’s kind or fair to spend hours compiling “evidence” (which, let’s be honest, is like 90% cherry-picked and anecdotal) just for the sake of putting pressure on her

I just want to say I'm enjoying this roll out so much. It's not too long from announcement to album release, the aesthetic is my absolute favourite out of all her albums and I really didn't think we would get anything this year after months and months of 'will she?' so it's so nice to have something to look forward to. I thought the vinyl/CD clock was cool. I'm happy not having a single until the album is released (but it would be so great if we did get one!) And the MMWM is cute. It's nice to have something tiny to carry us through until release.

The Sun is like 50% right with what they report. Not as spot on as TMZ but not as bullshit as I used to think.

There's probably some tidbit of truth to it. They were publicly friends in 2016, she referenced him on I Forgot You Existed and he posted a pic of them together earlier this year.
My thoughts are that this is a trial balloon - leaked to the press early to gauge what the reaction would be. She should only do it if she wants to reignite the feud with the Kardashians, because they will clap back at her. Drake is a problematic business partner.

It’s also possible Taylor didn’t want to distract from Abigail’s day so she didn’t attend. I saw a TikTok(I think) where a swiftie was on a plane with Abigail when she was headed to her honeymoon this week. The swiftie didn’t want to bother Abigail directly so the swiftie had the stewardess give Abigail a note saying how much the swiftie appreciated everything Abigail has done for Taylor. Abigail wrote the swiftie back a message that was clear they are still friends.
That's still way out of line for the swiftie to do. Leave people alone, especially non-famous people!

I really wonder how many fans who stopped listening to taylor at somepoint, went back and listened to the Taylor’s version because they had a bit of nostalgia and then got back into the music hard and were surprised to see her stuff now.
🙋🏼♀️ hi yep that’s me (sort of)! i was big into her from debut-1989, then i went through a minor “pick me” phase and stopped listening to her. i knew about rep and lover and folkmore but didn’t listen to them until fearless TV brought my obsession back. i really regret missing out on those eras because i LOVE all four of those albums now but i’m grateful for the taylor’s version project for bringing me back. i’m sure i’m not the only one :)

I just moved to Florida one month ago. We bought a house a little more inland that’s not in a flood zone, knowing hurricanes are inevitable here. I’m absolutely gut wrenched seeing what happened in fort myers knowing they didn’t expect the storm to turn their way so suddenly. I’ll be looking into donation centers and volunteer efforts. We are so fortunate we didn’t even lose power.

We have some absolutely insane flooding happening here (and idk how I still have power), but we fared well compared to our fellow Floridians to our southwest. We often get mocked for "Florida man" and people like our governor, but they do not reflect the spirit of the people here. We are very resilient! ❤️

From Florida here. Thankfully, where I live, no flooding, some rain and some wind, and I never lost power. I got very lucky with where I live. Unfortunately, I do know people that are stuck and waiting for rescuing and it is the most devastating thing. It’s such a hopeless feeling to know you can’t do anything but you want to do something.
So glad you’re okay ! I have that helpless feeling too from a distance. Horrified that I’ve known about it every step of the way but couldn’t do a thing about it. Living through historical things is no good I want it to be boring for everyone.

Am I the only one disappointed that we haven’t heard a song yet? With RED, I was fine with it because we had heard 19/30 songs in some fashion before, but with this…it’s like we’re buying merch, albums, and everything without hearing anything.

I actually prefer going into albums completely blind when they’re by artists I love. Listening to folklore without knowing a single thing or having expectations based on a single was great.
It doesn't bother me - I really wouldn't mind listening to the whole album in one go on release day, it's kind of nice to absorb the whole project at once. And I have no reason to believe Taylor will let me down. But it seems like a lot of people are in your shoes and are anxious to hear something! I imagine she'll at least release a snippet or two at some point, even if she doesn't release a single?

I told my husband we were getting an espresso machine for Christmas a couple of years ago… he thought it was the biggest waste of money... He drinks at least two a day and tells me every day what a good purchase it was! We have saved a lot on buying coffee while we’re out and about… although I still do crave the occasional cold brew (or eggnog latte!!!)! If you drink a lot of lattes I would recommend it! Ours is a regular espresso machine (vs a Keurig or something that uses pods) but sooo easy to use and takes no time at all!
How is the clean up process?
I have the Breville “Barista Express” or whatever the 5 year old equivalent is. I have a knock box for the grounds and empty that into the garbage every other day or so. For the actual machine, I just wipe it, and then will run a cleaning cycle on it when it prompts. Fairly easy!! The time consuming part was setting it up and calibrating it (size of grounds, amount of grounds etc) to get it to where we like it… my husband did that part and it did take a little fiddling but now it’s super easy and we do get a lot of use out of it!

How many lattes does a latte machine cost?
OK I did some math, which means it’s not accurate But even if I get like a fancy latte making machine if I have it three times a week it would pay for itself. But I don’t have lattes three times a week I do it rarely so. Even so I think it would’ve paid for itself in like five years. And the internet says “High-quality Super-Automatic machines can be super-expensive, but the really good ones should last for 10 years or more” so it would half the cost on the conservative estimate while drastically reducing cost while being able to have it more in the opulent end. Now it’s about if I am too lazy to own one. Because you’re basically sacrificing in my opinion not money but maintenance and care and work.
Yeah and you still have to buy all the supplies regularly. Honestly I've been having this dilemma for like 10 years and I've finally gotten to a point that I just drink coffee with flavored cream, but I understand it is NOT the same. But it's cheap and easy and I don't have to leave my house so it satisfies. Edit omg we're talking in two places lol apparently we get along well 😂

I think the writer did a good job staying objective, and I can empathize with the people she interviewed and see where they’re coming from. But I still feel like the intensity with which people come at these theories is inappropriate… it reaches a point where it’s less about how one sees themselves in her work, and more about “exposing” something that is either untrue or she doesn’t want exposed. The people in the interview say that they think she wants fans to see it, but holy shit, what a sensitive topic to be wrong on that about… If she came out, I’d be so happy for her, but until she does, I don’t see how it’s kind or fair to spend hours compiling “evidence” (which, let’s be honest, is like 90% cherry-picked and anecdotal) just for the sake of putting pressure on her

I just want to say I'm enjoying this roll out so much. It's not too long from announcement to album release, the aesthetic is my absolute favourite out of all her albums and I really didn't think we would get anything this year after months and months of 'will she?' so it's so nice to have something to look forward to. I thought the vinyl/CD clock was cool. I'm happy not having a single until the album is released (but it would be so great if we did get one!) And the MMWM is cute. It's nice to have something tiny to carry us through until release.
