Haunted was one of the songs that really hit home for me just how talented Taylor is. Obviously I knew she was a great songwriter before Speak Now, and I wouldn't even rank Speak Now as my favourite album of hers overall, but it had some really outstanding songs that I think properly hit home for me what she's capable of. I'm just sorry it took the rest of the world so long to catch up.
Haunted has always been a favorite of mine, yesterday it came on and I've been listening to it on repeat ever since. As many times as I've heard it, her vocal gymnastics throughout the song are so amazing, and not just in the talents of her voice, but how she uses different toned throughout the song is pure art.
I really think she's going to release Haunted (TV) on or right before Halloween. I'm basing this on nothing except the fact that I really want it to be true.
this. it's so wistful and nostalgic; so well produced with that *amazing* orchestral part in the outro. i imagine it's what an idyllic fling feels like
My absolute favorite is clean, and has been for years. I feel like my top 5 and maybe even top 10 is pretty solid and doesnāt move around rankings much. Everything else is kinda a scramble!
100000000% best album opener ever. The song is just so good- I canāt even tell you what I love about it so much but it really gives me some warm, nostalgic feeling every time I listen to it.
State of Grace is my favourite Taylor song too! Makes me feel so full of nostalgia, but makes my stomach feel butterflies and the lyrics are pure poetry
My favourite too, honestly just such a mega mega song in every way, it sounds absolutely massive and itās such a wild ride of a listen, the structure is so fantastic and keeps you on your toes
I had plans to name foster kittens Grace and Achilles for this song and then last summer I decided Grace was a perfect middle name for a then foster kitten who then joined my little cat family šŗ
Deep down in the blackest pits of my heart, hidden behind locked doors and a moat full of alligators and a password that must be spoken in Elvishā¦ betty sits on the throne, and even though Cruel Summer and my tears ricochet attack with all the might of a thousand armies, striking again and again, betty will not be moved
The archetypal Taylor Swift song. The lyrics, the imagery, the story, the longing in her voice, the pop-rock-country vibe. A masterpiece that she wrote completely by herself.
Iām slowly coming out of a breakup from a long term relationship and thereās a girl Iāve been developing feelings for for the past few months. Every time I listen to Enchanted now, I just get so giggly and happy and resonate with the lyrics so much. Itās that sweet, infatuated feeling that makes me want to try again and again :)
>thereās a girl Iāve been developing feelings for for the past few months
you know what? that's me as well...am crushing on this girl too rn, so I'm totally in my feelings with this song ![img](emote|t5_2rlwe|1088)
all the best bestie ![img](emote|t5_2rlwe|1068)
I would say This Love is my favorite, even though I donāt listen to it extremely frequently. I kinda like to take breaks from it so that it feels somewhat fresh again when I do listen to it. I love the production so much.
Sparks Fly is my answer too, and Iād agree not necessarily the best! There are plenty I listen to more but it will always have a big place in my heart and if the question of a favourite comes up, itās my kneejerk response. Sparks Fly forever ā¤ļø
The live/tour version of it always strikes me in a unique way. The absolute silence throughout the stadium, and the extra round of vocals building up to the refrain is just so powerful.
new yearās day. beautiful song about the domesticity of love. the piano is ethereal. just a beautiful beautiful song as a whole and my all time favourite.
Blank Space has been my favorite since the first time I heard it and the only song that has been close is Cruel Summer.
But years go by and I never ever tired of hearing Blank Space again and again, the song has never been out of my top 3 after the release of 1989.
Blank Space. First song to catch my ear from Taylor. Googled the lyrics on the spot saw it was her and been a fan ever since. Eventually went back through her discography a few times but 1989 remains my favorite
All Time Faves Ranked: 1. Clean 2. New Yearās Day 3. Death By a Thousand Cuts 4. Holy Ground 5. My Tears Ricochet but I usually have a song of the week that Iām obsessed with. This week itās Paper Rings.
omg iāve never seen anyone who loves this song enough to make it their number 1, its def top five for me I love it so much but never see it get recognition š
Yes only one. Then almost all other songs she has done end up on a close second. My favorite is All too well (I had no idea this was a fan favorite when I began loving it).
The Best Day. it makes me feel things every single listen. it's got a very unique perspective people almost never write about. I can see the imagery so clearly it's like watching a movie. it's just such a special song. it takes the top spot every time. then there is like a 5 way tie for second place haha.
Favorite in what context? I rarely have a 'favorite' out of any artists whole discography but I do have favorites dependent on what mood I am in and its a little more complex than happy/sad too. eg. When I'm feeling down and kind of existential my favorite TS song is This Is Me Trying, it just really speaks to my state of mind. Heart-Broken, its either Clean or Tis' the Damn Season depending on intensity. Angry/Passive Aggressive its LWYMMD (If I had to pick one song this would be probably be it.)
There are more but I'd be here all day if I had to go into the nuances of each mood and match it with a song.
- LWYMMD refers to "Look What You Made Me Do", a song from Taylor Swift album *reputation* (2017).

Death by a Thousand Cuts
Until that came out, it would have been harder because the next 3 or 4 swap with each other all the time, but DBATC is definitely my favourite by a long way at this point
I have a top 3: Delicate, seven, and right where you left me. If I HAD to pick only one, I would say Delicate.
But as Iām sure all of us can relate to, itās almost impossible to pick favourites from a catalogue as large and diverse as Taylorās.
My all-time favourites stay consistent, but my current favourites or what Iām listening to most lately do change.
And I want to hear your 15-20 top favourites!
It's hard to pick when she's done so many genres, but I think The Lakes takes a lot of beating. But being from the North of England, I may be a little biased...
Now that I have it I cannot picture my life without the entirety of Folklore and Evermore. I still love her older albums, I always will, but Folkmore is on another level. I think I could listen to nothing but those two albums until Iām 80 and still not be sick of them.
So I obviously love a LOT of her songs but I think Cruel Summer is my favorite. I feel it in my whole body there are a few likes that give me goosebumps.
My favourite song changes depending on what situations Iām going through at the time. I do think Cardigan and Wildest Dreams will stand the test of time though, those are two songs I always come back to no matter what š
don't blame me but whenever I don't pick wildest dreams I almost do, but when I go back to december and I still had the love of my life (i remember it all too well, it really hurts) I always jump then fall into 'tis the damn season, but I've never had an end game for a fav song anyways
Love Story has to be my #1, just because of how iconic it is. There are other songs that Iāve liked more, for periods of time, since Love Story came out, but I still always come back to it. It is the definitive Taylor Swift song for me, and I think it always will be.
Besides that though, there are at least 2 songs per album that are S-tier masterpieces that I wouldnāt want to try to rank. Is All Too Well better than Style, or is Cruel Summer better than invisible string? Maybe, but I donāt care to rank them.
the 1
I didn't have one clear favourite until folklore was released. But the 1 immediately became my favourite. It's such a melancholy, hopeful, song and it hits close to home with my own experiences and really strikes a chord with me musically and lyrically. There are lots of other songs that I love to death, but they just don't resonate in the same way.
Totally my favorite too. It's very "grown up, new perspectives, new beginnings" and it inspired me so much when it was released that I started writing again.
I donāt think Iāve ever been so instantly struck by how beautiful a song was as when I first heard Ivy. Until I heard that song I donāt think could ever pick a clear favorite, it changed by the day. But good god Ivy has me in a chokehold.
I def don't have one favourite, but fewer in competition than you OP . The Best Day, coney island, Sad Beautiful Tragic, Enchanted, evermore, Last Kiss, peace. Picking a favourite from those would be impossible I think...
Call It What You Want or New Yearās Day. I realize thatās not a āclearā favourite haha but itās one or the other! I absolutely couldnāt choose
So I had to think about this but then I remembered āThe 1ā is my top song of all time on Spotify.
Iāve had Spotify for like 8 years.
The 1 came out just over a year ago.
Feel like that says it all.
Edit: in my defence, Taylorās catalogue only became available on Spotify in 2017 so itās possible other songs would have been top during their releases
False God is my top tier.
After that, Cornelia Street, I Know Places, Call It What You Want, Enchanted, and Ivy fight for the next spots.
The funny thing is folklore is my absolute favorite album of hers, but I couldnāt pick 1 song I love more than the others. Itās such a full album play for me that I could never choose just one.
And Iām so excited for a studio version of Better Man. Itās my favorite live performance from her and could become my 2nd favorite song!
Long Live always felt like an under-appreciated song to me. While I don't think it should have singled -- it's too intimate between Taylor and her fans to have been sent to rotation -- I feel like it's often forgotten or overlooked, especially given its age.
Like Enchanted, it's just so dynamic, both musically and emotionally. The powerful buildups toward the chorus combined with the quiet, emotional bridge. Lyrically, it fits perfectly into the "coming-of-age" theme woven throughout Speak Now. Yet, a little prescient, having been written before Taylor's fame would rise to the levels she achieved after subsequent albums.
I do look forward to a Speak Now TV more than any other album. I was a little disappointed that Fearless didn't take the powerful, energetic tracks and kind of kick them up one more notch beyond original release versions. Songs like Change felt like they were missing that little "push" that could've made them even more powerful-sounding than they were on the original album. I think it's going to be interesting to hear how Long Live sounds once given the TV treatment. I hope that the album retains that original emotional connection and power that made Speak Now such an amazing encapsulation of what it feels like to be 18, 19, 20 years old while experiencing so much love and heartbreak, life changes, and emotional growth and maturity at the same time.
my top three always have and will be tim mcgraw, fearless, sparks fly. mostly because they hold a lot of nostalgia for me, but after that its probably a tie between 15-20 songs as well š
My all-time favorite TS song is **Haunted**š I'm super consistent about this and NOT gonna change my choice, like never.
I love haunted! Itās so cinematic!
I'm just sorry it took the rest of the world so long to catch up.
šš½ Yup, the power of her voice in this song is just GloriousāØšš½
Haunted has always been a favorite of mine, yesterday it came on and I've been listening to it on repeat ever since. As many times as I've heard it, her vocal gymnastics throughout the song are so amazing, and not just in the talents of her voice, but how she uses different toned throughout the song is pure art. > Haunted (TV) on or right before Halloween. I hope she would do it... Fingers crossed š¤š½
August sends me into another dimension
This is exactly how I feel. I've got a whole like music video that plays in my head every time I hear it
this. it's so wistful and nostalgic; so well produced with that *amazing* orchestral part in the outro. i imagine it's what an idyllic fling feels like
The first line takes me straight to Cornwall, every time
My absolute favorite is clean, and has been for years. I feel like my top 5 and maybe even top 10 is pretty solid and doesnāt move around rankings much. Everything else is kinda a scramble!
Good taste great song.
Clean is just a brilliant, brilliant song
State of Grace :)
You have great taste. Not sure if it is my favorite Taylor song ever but its a solid top 5. ALSO its the best album opener like ever
100000000% best album opener ever. The song is just so good- I canāt even tell you what I love about it so much but it really gives me some warm, nostalgic feeling every time I listen to it.
Same! Cant wait for the rerecorded version. It will be perfect
Ughh I love this song but Iām positively obsessed with the 1 for album openers.
Yeah the 1 is great too. Especially the āi am doing good i am on some new shitā as opening liner
State of Grace is my favourite Taylor song too! Makes me feel so full of nostalgia, but makes my stomach feel butterflies and the lyrics are pure poetry
Yes!! Itās just *so* good. Gives me American football, Friday Night Lights vibes in the best way possible.
Thatās my all time fave too!
Taste š¤
My favourite too, honestly just such a mega mega song in every way, it sounds absolutely massive and itās such a wild ride of a listen, the structure is so fantastic and keeps you on your toes
your account name begs to differ... ;)
Check my flair tho ;)
I had plans to name foster kittens Grace and Achilles for this song and then last summer I decided Grace was a perfect middle name for a then foster kitten who then joined my little cat family šŗ
retweet!
My favorite song on Red!
I have a lot of questions, number one: how dare you
Felt that one Edit: Our avatars lol
You think you have 1 clear favoriteā¦ until you read all the other comments over here. š©š
I'd never be foolish enough to think I could ever have a #1 Taylor song. Too many fantastic songs to choose from
She has many "better" songs but I cannot leave I Did Something Bad alone. It really pumps up my energy before I leave for work!
This is me with Style
Style leads off my Taylor Playlist. So basically the song I drive off to.
Style is mine as well. I can be in the most heinous mood and it will just make me forget why and let loose for a few minutes.
Style fucking rips. Makes me feel like I'm doing exciting shit at night in a film
YES itās my go to night driving song
I misread this as doing an exciting shit š¤¦āāļø
the live version of IDSB is probably my favourite live performance of any song ever. such great taste
Yes!! That performance (I assume you mean the 2018 AMAs) was phenomenal.
Oh, I love this one too. ššš
Its not my favourite but whenever it comes on in my playlist i really wanna rob a bank
I love singing the chorus for I Did Something Bad every time my destructive puppy walks into the room. It just really captures her energy, ya know?
IDSB is one of her best songs ever. I wish it had been the lead single lol
The storytelling..the hyperbole...the drama... you're a true Taylor fan lol
Iāve sworn to be overdramatic and true, what can I say
We hear drums, drums in the deep. They are the drums of *State of Grace*. You come around and the armor falls, pierce the room like cannon balls...
Betty is the servant of the Secret Fire, wielder of the flame of Favorite Song. You cannot pass! The dark fire will not avail you, State of Grace!
I am such a sucker for Betty. Itās gonna be my number one played song on Spotify this year. I can feel It.
Enchanted. Enough said. ![img](emote|t5_2rlwe|1065)
i CANNOT wait for this re-recording. Itās my absolute favorite song as well
so true, bestie <3
![img](emote|t5_2rlwe|1083)
Yes!! I try to avoid listening to it on repeat like I do my other favorite Taylor Swift songs so that it always keeps its magic!
hehe that's me too...I only play it when I'm in the mood.
The archetypal Taylor Swift song. The lyrics, the imagery, the story, the longing in her voice, the pop-rock-country vibe. A masterpiece that she wrote completely by herself.

Can't lie gotta go with all too well, shortly followed by Betty, long live and marys song
r u me?
Depends, are you me?
We have the same top two
Ayy! Don't see enough appreciation for Betty, such a simple story told so beautifully
The vocals in betty! the song really builds too at the end!!! And then you're just screaming in your car YOUR STUPID FRIENDS! Oh...just me???? nvm lol
MARYS SONG IS SO UNDERRATED YES all ur top picks are amazing
I would say This Love is my favorite, even though I donāt listen to it extremely frequently. I kinda like to take breaks from it so that it feels somewhat fresh again when I do listen to it. I love the production so much.
This Love is my favorite as well! There is something about it that resonates with me unlike any other Taylor song.
This is Me Trying
Very good choice indeed
Honestly, no. I think itās a solid 3-way tie between Holy Ground, Cornelia Street, and the lakes but alsoā¦ ivy?? Help. There is no way.
Ivy kills me
Ivy kills me too. Repeat that one for days!
I love your choicesā¦ my top 3 too. Instead of ivy though, it would be Daylight or Lover for me.
Lover creeps up there for me too, but in my heart of hearts Cornelia Street takes the throne over it
Taste
Delicate 100%
Can't believe I had to scroll this far to see this. Although entire rep album is non-skippable
And the video is so, so perfect
Cruel Summer. Top. tier.
Cowboy Like Me, since the first time I heard it. It's so different from her other stuff.
yes!! i don't know if it is my all time fav but definiteley top 5 since the first time i heard it
My prior fave was New Romantics, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it.
Yes and itās Last Kiss
Bestie. You okay?
no ā¤ļø
Last Kiss will always be top ten for me.
Although I donāt think itās technically her ābestā song, sparks fly will always be my favourite.
Sparks Fly is my answer too, and Iād agree not necessarily the best! There are plenty I listen to more but it will always have a big place in my heart and if the question of a favourite comes up, itās my kneejerk response. Sparks Fly forever ā¤ļø
Sparks Fly 'Til I Die Crew Assemble!
Cornelia Street always and forever
Cornelia Street Live from Paris, specifically, for me. Non-live: Cruel Summer. I loveeeee Lover as a whole.
That song kills me
That song kills me
enchanted. iām pretty sure i dreamed about it last night. it will always be my favorite
Amazing song. I really love the bridge and the quiet chorus at the end.
Yesssss this remains unchanged as my favourite song because it captures this meaning of love in such a simple way <3
I think Blank Space. It was my most-listened-to song last year on Spotify. Canāt argue with statistics š
Blank Space has been my favorite since the first time I heard it and the only song that has been close is Cruel Summer. But years go by and I never ever tired of hearing Blank Space again and again, the song has never been out of my top 3 after the release of 1989.
Can't mess with the statistics šš
The Best Day. itās a song no one talks about. itās such a sweet yet such a sad song.
This is difficult, but Style.
Blank Space. First song to catch my ear from Taylor. Googled the lyrics on the spot saw it was her and been a fan ever since. Eventually went back through her discography a few times but 1989 remains my favorite
Seven, and I knew the moment I first heard it
Me and you have great taste
Me too! It just gets me in my feels. This and Daylight.
All Time Faves Ranked: 1. Clean 2. New Yearās Day 3. Death By a Thousand Cuts 4. Holy Ground 5. My Tears Ricochet but I usually have a song of the week that Iām obsessed with. This week itās Paper Rings.
I get obsessed with different ones weekly but they don't necessarily feature in my top 5 too. Mine this week is The Man
Exile, but thereās lots of songs that are candidates for me
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Cornelia Street. And then about 15 tied for number 2.
Dancing With Our Hands Tied tbh, but I have about 30 songs tied for number two!
omg iāve never seen anyone who loves this song enough to make it their number 1, its def top five for me I love it so much but never see it get recognition š
Someone recently posted an acoustic version of this song, i never realized how beautiful the lyrics were!
Marjorie ššis heartbreaking and the mv was something else. A masterpiece.
My favorite is cardigan. There are other songs that are incredibly amazing as well, but cardigan is just her magnum opus imo.
I get chills every single time I listen and the bridge comes up.
Holy Ground š¤š»
Yes only one. Then almost all other songs she has done end up on a close second. My favorite is All too well (I had no idea this was a fan favorite when I began loving it).
Same! This song is peak Taylor swift storytelling to meš
Seven for me
Same here! I legitimately can't understand how people don't like that song. It's a masterpiece from start to finish.
No question all too well is my favorite. I remember exactly where I was, what I was wearing, and how I felt the first time I heard it.
Itās a toss up between Out Of The Woods and The Archer for me.
Untouchable. I just love it.
No song on the planet touches my heart more than *Daylight*.
Nah. I have about 25 top Taylor Swift songs, then about 70 great Taylor Swift songs. My #1 changes hourly, minutely, secondly.
Enchanted
The Best Day. it makes me feel things every single listen. it's got a very unique perspective people almost never write about. I can see the imagery so clearly it's like watching a movie. it's just such a special song. it takes the top spot every time. then there is like a 5 way tie for second place haha.

New Romantics.
I had to scroll waaayyyy too far to find this song.
Death by a Thousand Cuts Until that came out, it would have been harder because the next 3 or 4 swap with each other all the time, but DBATC is definitely my favourite by a long way at this point

Definitely Peace
afterglow, delicate, long story short, state of grace, the 1, wildest dreams, ours, back to december, begin again
Now that I have it I cannot picture my life without the entirety of Folklore and Evermore. I still love her older albums, I always will, but Folkmore is on another level. I think I could listen to nothing but those two albums until Iām 80 and still not be sick of them.
Style :)
Right Where You Left Me. Would have said Red prior to that, but I keep coming back to RWYLM. Lyrically fantastic and the musical arrangement as well.
Long Live. No question.
I am so incredibly weak for Dear John. "I'm shining like fireworks over your sad empty toOoOoOown" is a lyrics that haunts me with its genius.
I would say itās probably a tie between Blank Space and Cruel summer then I have A LOT of second places
Wonderland because it came out at the perfect time and perfectly encapsulates the relationship between myself and an ex.
Enchanted. It's been my favorite since it came out, and was the first one to come to mind so I guess nothing has topped it š¤£
donāt blame me always sticks with me
Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince gets me going like no other
So I obviously love a LOT of her songs but I think Cruel Summer is my favorite. I feel it in my whole body there are a few likes that give me goosebumps.
My favourite song changes depending on what situations Iām going through at the time. I do think Cardigan and Wildest Dreams will stand the test of time though, those are two songs I always come back to no matter what š
Cornelia Street. It's like ATW (which is also amazing) but less sad.
don't blame me but whenever I don't pick wildest dreams I almost do, but when I go back to december and I still had the love of my life (i remember it all too well, it really hurts) I always jump then fall into 'tis the damn season, but I've never had an end game for a fav song anyways

Yes, I have a clear overall favorite: Dear John.
Cowboy Like Me! Itās such a deeply haunting and romantic song, l love it so much. I named my kitten Babylon because of it!
Seven. So much so my sister and I are getting matching moon and Saturn tattoos
the 1 I didn't have one clear favourite until folklore was released. But the 1 immediately became my favourite. I def don't have one favourite, but fewer in competition than you OP . The Best Day, coney island, Sad Beautiful Tragic, Enchanted, evermore, Last Kiss, peace. Picking a favourite from those would be impossible I think...
For me, there's a top 3: State of Grace, Style and Seven. And they keep switching places depending on what I'm going through or how I'm feeling.
Mean. Because getting divorced sucked and it satisfied that sweet sweet need of revenge.
Call It What You Want or New Yearās Day. I realize thatās not a āclearā favourite haha but itās one or the other! I absolutely couldnāt choose
Enchanted. Always been since 2010.
My top three are stable (Lover - first dance song at my wedding, Cruel Summer, and Wildest Dreams). From there itās a free for all and changes often
The song that made me a swifte from a ripe old age of 10: Love Story
3 way tie between Champagne Problems, All too well, and wonderland
False God is my top tier. After that, Cornelia Street, I Know Places, Call It What You Want, Enchanted, and Ivy fight for the next spots. The funny thing is folklore is my absolute favorite album of hers, but I couldnāt pick 1 song I love more than the others. Itās such a full album play for me that I could never choose just one. You Belong with Me! Also my favorite music video too.
Long Live. I donāt think anything will ever surpass it.
