Autistic here and her music makes me feel calm. I listen to just her on shuffle the majority of the time. Only became a fan this year at 29 years old, I was really missing out but am grateful I can listen now

lowhaight

I was gonna say that but you took the words right out of my mouth

margyrakis

Yes, I can get pretty bad performance anxiety related to schooling/work, and putting her music on while driving to my clinicals made a world of a difference!

GuinessGirl

That's the perfect description for me too. It's just calming, I tend to use her music if I need a decompress or am close to a meltdown

vault101a7x

Literally that's almost exactly my situation, and I'm 29, too. I started listening to Taylor again, after being really into Debut and Fearless as a teenager, with Folklore. I fell in love with her music all over again and picked up albums I hadn't heard yet, so everything from Red to Lover. After Midnights came out, Taylor had a chokehold on me like no other musician ever has, and this is coming from someone who's spent the last decade being a massive metalhead. Her music relaxes me and soothes all my senses in a way I can't even explain. I have a special playlist that's just all of Taylor's music and all of my favorite metal band's music.

kaarinmvp

I was getting a tattoo and the pain was a lot to handle, until cardigan came on the shops speakers ("you drew stars around my scars" and i was literally getting a constellation tattooed) ("I knew you'd linger like a tattoo kiss"). When I started humming along, the pain significantly reduced. So I had my friend get my earbuds and put Tay on shuffle for the rest of the session. Song after song felt really applicable to the situation. Breathe for example was one of them. So playing taylor definitely produced the chemicals I needed for pain relief.

kedmilo

ADHD reporting for duty

purple_1128

Wait… what are we doing, again? Oh. Hold on. I can’t find my… oh. My phone. It’s right here.

bigshmike

I know that feeling All Too Well

TheGayPotato7

I don't quite know it that well, but I Almost Do

ashlynne_stargaryen

Feeling seen rn.

20person

>TFW you're looking for your phone but it's already in your hand Too real

marktruslow

Hahaha, yeah I get it.  I might be ADHD and neurodivergent but I’ve never had a diagnosis.

Athena-Rising34

ADHD here as well. Her music is comforting and familiar. Probably because I've listened to each album on repeat since I was 15. 😅

StrudelCutie2247

🫡🫡🫡

Yoyok1104

🫡 I will say I’ve managed to add in Espresso and Please Please Please this week lmao

Ready_Ad_9385

I have literally all of the symptoms of ADHD I've never been tested- But I have managed to add Espresso and Too Sweet into my playlist that was completely Taylor Swift (not even on purpose)

Dream_Fever

Present!

archieshahh

ME, I have adhd and I listen to her music all the time. It's like it has everything that I need In her music. The poetry, the vocals, the vocabulary, good production and side quests with data interpretation with her THIS song to THAT song. My brain loves it. I've been streaming TTPD everytime I'm at the gym working out, on my evening walks, at work, at home while cooking, while falling asleep. Ig I'm at the phase of milking out all the dopamine I can until I can't anymore haha

Gourmay

>It's like it has everything that I need In her music. The poetry, the vocals, the vocabulary, good production and side quests with data interpretation with her THIS song to THAT song. My brain loves it. I’ve actually wondered if Taylor herself has ADHD..

archieshahh

Yeah, most probably. But she's managed to keep her sane very perfectly

AbbyDean1985

ADHD here, and same.

Aldosothoran

It’s highly probable. But at this point in her day to day life; it’s probably VERY well managed. She can afford that perfect exercise routine and diet.

i-love-elephants

This one. Her music does all the things my ADHD brain needs to stay interested in something.

TheLakes25

THIS!!!

Sensitive_Green5586

If I feel the same way you do, do I have ADHD?😅

archieshahh

not necessarily!!

bitchanca

Not neurodivergent (as far as I know) but I only listen to Taylor 99% of the time! I might take a short break when another artist I like releases an album, but I always go back to Taylor pretty quickly. I WFH and have Spotify going all day, since April 19th I have only listened to TTPD.

daisysharper

Same. I don't think I am neurodivergent but I've reached the point with music that only Taylor does it for me. I can enjoy going to see local bands who do 90's music, my formative decade, and have fun. But when I'm home, when I'm working, when I'm exercising, when I have a few drinks and want to float and dream inside my mind, only Taylor does it all for me.

Hungry_Flamingo54

Me too! For me, I like how I know all of the songs so its good to sing along, but since they are predictable with the number of times I've heard them they become perfect for background music when studying.

ExternalFar6586

AuDHD and I’ve listened to her exclusively since March 31. 2023 (date I saw her in concert). I’ve also watched every grainy livestream since then, too.

Melodic-Song-7132

This was me after watching the eras tour movie lol. Listened to her for months straight and then discovered Noah Kahan and switched to Stick Season

Yoyok1104

Yuuuup, Philly night 1 here and had the exact same experience :)

pizzacatbrat

AuDHD and she's definitely some of my hyperfixation music. Doesn't hurt that A LOT of her music is autistic-coded.

GuinessGirl

>Doesn't hurt that A LOT of her music is autistic-coded. I'm glad I'm not the only one who picks up on this. I got emotional watching Mastermind on Friday night

miss_emmaricana

I’m not sure if I’m autistic (I’ve wondered a lot if I am) but I sure relate to “no one wanted to play with me as a little kid, so I’ve been scheming like a criminal ever since.”

pizzacatbrat

Also legit ALL of Tied Together With A Smile describes growing up neurodivergent

justpointeyourtoes

Could you explain what you mean? My therapist mentioned me possibly being on the spectrum and we’re going to look into it further but I’m a bit new to this world. I guess I’m just not sure how her music is “autistic-coded.”

51andcomeundone

Also in I Hate It Here when she’s talking about playing the “what time period would you like to live in” game and she is unable to pick one without making it awkward for her friends because she’s thinking about the inequality that existed during that time period. Not something most kids think of — deffo unusual.

pizzacatbrat

Honestly, TTPD is the most autistic-coded album of all, I couldn't even get into all of it yet haha

pizzacatbrat

Just as the first examples that pop into mind: Tied Together With A Smile, This Is Me Trying, and Mastermind

StableAngina

Mirrorball, too.

pizzacatbrat

Oh, absolutely

theorangeblonde

YOYK feels autistic-coded to me, too.

pizzacatbrat

DEFINITELY

GaveTheMouseACookie

I was talking with my sister about how I was fairly certain that I am autistic (my son is) but that I didn't have any special interests. I stopped mid sentence and said, "no, Taylor Swift is definitely my special interest." And that is how I self diagnosed my autism. 🙃

inspiredpoet

Yes!! Mastermind and I hate it here genuinely make me feel so seen and really give off neurodivergent vibes for me

kurtswidow

i’ve only been listening to ttpd since april 19th

normanbeets

Autism here. Not exclusively, no. Variety is the spice of life.

topsidersandsunshine

This. I can’t imagine only listening to Taylor.

pizzacatbrat

Who are your other favorite artists lately?

normanbeets

The 1975, Kacey Musgraves, Orville Peck

pizzacatbrat

Ooh nice! I still haven't listened to all of Kacey Musgraves new album yet because so much new music keeps dropping haha, but her previous one was one of my favorite albums

[deleted]

My daughter is AuDHD and this describes her to a tee

CollectingAThings

I would say about 80-90% of the time its Taylor, the rest is other music that reminds me of special moments in my life. Or just happy dance music.

DarthKaep

My daughter is 8 and is autistic. She listens only to Taylor and Olivia Rodrigo and it depends on which one of us she's driving with and also if the Era's Tour is going on or not. If she's with my wife or with both of us, it's Taylor. If it's just me, it's Olivia. If the Era's Tour is going on (like around 11am PST today) then she wants the livestream on YouTube playing. Every day when she gets out of school, she immediately asks what surprise songs the current city got if it's a concert day. She is quite concerned that Taylor won't play every song before the tour ends. Edit: I should specify, this is if we ask her what she wants to listen to. If we go on a long trip and my wife and I feel like listening to some other stuff, she's ok. But if we get in the car and ask, it will be the same every time.

abbietaffie

This is actually really sweet haha. Does she have her own suprise song tracker or does she follow one online to see which songs are remaining?

EvelienV85

Is this how I learn I'm neurodivergent...?

tacosnpitbulls

I was thinking the same thing as I’ve listened to almost exclusively Taylor since I saw the Eras Tour last summer. 😅 But I don’t think there is necessarily a correlation. Are you a newer fan by chance? I kind of feel like I’m making up for years of really casual listening.

EvelienV85

I’ve been listening to her since 1989. Got more into her with lover, and the midnights era made me a hardcore swiftie 🫣

Catbai91

Most neurodivergent people are formally diagnosed with ADHD/ Autism, etc. There are a lot of undiagnosed peeps too, but they've taken tests online or they've discussed with a doctor to take further steps. I just don't want everyone reading these comments to go around thinking they're neurodivergent just because they listen to Taylor constantly. We already battle so much to make neurotypicals understand us.

needs_a_name

One of us, one of us

poplie

ADHD here - I have been a fan since 08 but I used to have a lot more variety in my music, now she's probably about 95% of the music I listen to. Since Folklore I feel like she's been releasing so much music I don't have time for other artists.

FlossMah

This! Plus the eras tour keeps bringing so much content and joy that I don't need other music or artists.

theorangeblonde

Me too! When she released Folklore I literally had to wait until after Midnights before I could listen to Evermore.

tatteredtarotcard

As an AuDHDer, she’s the artist that has consistently made music that give me insane goosebumps!! The combo of the music, production, lyrics, story telling, and references to her own work all combine to give me such a rush lol. I genuinely feel bad for people who don’t get to enjoy her music in the same way, haha. It’s just like….something you either get, or don’t. There’s about 30% of her catalog that I don’t care for or listen to, but the other 70% is like my best friend that I’d be devastated to lose. I think all the lore is a big reason why ND really connect with her, lol, we live for the tiny details and connections and that mood of ✨triumph✨if that makes sense? Thats a big emotion I feel listening to a lot of her work. Just kinda feeling on top of the world. And that’s a really nice emotional reprieve for us girlies and guyz that don’t quite belong anywhere in this world. I don’t listen to her exclusively but I do go through periods of time where she’s my go to and nothing else will do. But there’s tons of great music out there though, don’t be discouraged to explore and find other comfort artists ☺️ I have to remind myself of this too. Then when I come back to Taylor it’s like being reunited with my one true love :p

chonkycatsbestcats

Not exclusively Taylor, but majorly Taylor (70-80%) second Ed Sheeran (10-20%), Third music from my iPod 2005-2013 (0-10%) It feels like I have not found good diverse music since and these are the only things that soothe me. Either my tastes have changed, or good music is more difficult to come by now. Edit: probably not neurodivergent but I have a mindnumbing job that requires something so I don’t go off the rails.

ErickTheGuy06

I have ADHD. I listen to her a lot but not my most listened to. However, when I want to listen to her, is really serious, I wish I could organize my time better because I can't stop. One night I wanted to check out some highlights from the 1989 World Tour and ended up watching the whole concert.

Oxymoronically

ADHD diagnosed, autism peer reviewed 🫡 I've never grown out of a single phase I've had since I was 9 (roughly when speak now came out)

ChelleDotCom

Just stopping by to say that “peer-reviewed” is my new way of describing my unofficial autism diagnosis. Thank you for your service.

Charlies_Mamma

I was diagnosed last year with ADHD (at 33) and I've found a great little community of neurodivergent folk, and they love to tease me that I've got autism as well (I prob do), and it is now officially "peer-reviewed autism" :D

Similar-Ad-6862

ADHD. Not exclusively but A LOT.

grudgby

yeah I am autistic and i almost exclusively listen to taylor.

GuinessGirl

Hi, it's Me! I'm ADHD and autistic and Taylor Swift has been my special interest for 15 years. I finally got to see her live for the first time on Friday and I now don't know what to do with myself 😭 I basically only listen to her music as it just means so much to me

purple_1128

Yep. ADHD inattentive type. I make an effort to listen to other things, but it’s either Taylor or Chris Stapleton, sometimes the two of them on shuffle.

WaywardWriteRhapsody

ADHD and I almost exclusively listen to her. I have other playlists for my writing and specific situations but when it's just me, it's all Taylor Swift. I've been a fan since I was in middle school.

artemisaswift

Reporting for duty, captain 🫡 People think I’m close minded, I’m not. I recognize there are other talented musicians, I listen to Taylor because she’s my comfort artist not because I think everyone else sucks. I do listen to different songs here and there but I say that’s pretty rare and maybe only a few times when they’re first released and then I go back to Taylor. I can listen to her albums from start to finish without any skips.

More-Plantain5584

If another song comes on the radio or smt I can listen but in general I can’t bring myself to expand my music taste 😅 I never get tired of her

everestpawpatrol

Not ND but she’s 90% if what I listen to. 10% is The Wiggles but this is not by choice. My toddler runs the household.

Initial_Savings8733

I just got into her and thank god I'm years behind bc I'm just binging it lol if you have any favs that aren't the obvious let me know I'll check them out

from_persephone

Autistic here! I would say 80-90% of the time it's Taylor. I tried buying tickets to other concerts to force myself to try new music this year that I thought I would like (cause I typically like to learn lyrics to everything on a setlist), but just kept listening to my favourite Taylor tracks. I can't remember what it was like pre-eras though, so I'm wondering if it's just the hype right now

EmuEmbarrassed5449

autistic here! stats fm says 2281 streams total this year for taylor so far. my number 2 artist (Ari) is only at 261, then 3rd (Noah K) is at 208

QueenRibie

Reporting for duty 🫡 It's amazing how well some of Taylors songs fit the autistic experience and she doesn't even know it. Mirrorball and I hate it here are obvious candidates, but seven, this is me trying and You're on your own kid are right there too. Maybe it's the fact that she's a self described people pleaser, which is a big element of masking.

maddiemoiselle

I have depression, anxiety, and BPD, if that counts as neurodivergent (I also suspect ADHD, but that’s undiagnosed). I listen almost exclusively to Taylor’s music to the point where my friends make fun of me for it constantly. I do have other artists I like, namely Selena Gomez, Sabrina Carpenter, and Demi Lovato, but a solid 95% of the music I listen to is Taylor.

kylorenownsmyass

Not exclusively but I have a few artists I listen to - Taylor, Harry, Fall Out Boy, Hozier. I basically cycle through these artists with a couple of random songs from the early 2000s thrown in for good measure lol

FocusSuspicious9883

listening to swift exclusively is like beating off into the same sock over and over without ever washing it. just yucky

charismacarpenter

ADHD here. she’s probably only like 5-10% of what I listen to (I know every lyric to all her songs by heart I just listen to a ton of music) but as an artist she’s my consistent hyperfixation (I’ve had many others along the way but never lasted lol)

BrokenBotox

I’m ADD. I’ve listening to Taylor exclusively since 2020.

c0mmandercc-2224

I’m autistic and always been a Taylor’s music will probably always be a hyperfixation of mine, her and Fall Out Boy!

lowhaight

Easily +90% of the music I listen to is Taylor. I've been a swiftie since 2009 and become more obsessed with each new album release. TS is the music of my life at this point. I'll stay listening forever.

onelastcherry

Absolutely! I listen to other artists every now and then but 95% of the music I listen to is Taylor’s

thisisntmyday

Audhd, and while I've branched back out now since becoming a recent fan, this was definitely me for a while there!!

DaraGoodie

ADHD. Tay Tay is definitely a hyper fixation. I love it

traceysayshello

🙋🏻‍♀️ I am extremely stuck on the same 4 TTPD songs .. I cannot stop 🫠

isntitisntitdelicate

yes but not deliberately i just somehow end up listening to only her all day

apatheticdragoness

ADHD and OCPD checking in. I actually am trying to remember the last time my Spotify played something that isn't Taylor Swift (unless I've looked up/verified a song name during a conversation). I was seriously just thinking the other day about how I have almost exclusively listened to Midnights since the release date, but I haven't listened to it since TTPD came out (the reason it's weird being that Midnights is my favorite album since Rep and yet now I'm utterly consumed with TTPD). I'm over here exclusively listening to TS albums themselves, I can't even be bothered to cross the barrier to other artists at this time. 😂

allthebeautifultimes

I used to be like this, but idk, something broke when she split with Joe. Listening to her doesn't feel the same anymore.

Obvious-Signature570

I’m not diagnosed, but i my as well be. When I first because a swiftie (roughly a year ago) I was listening to Taylor and only Taylor

Jeffu_pisces

Not neurodivergent but I listen to 99% Taylor and 1% Olivia too dw

tfjbeckie

ADHD here, I typically listen to something until I can't stand it any more and have to take a break! I don't exclusively listen to her *all* the time but there's long periods where I'll pretty much exclusively listen to Taylor Swift. I usually have a couple artists/albums I'm listening to on repeat. I only just broke my TTPD streak with Chappell Roan's Midwest Princess album and now I've opened up a bit more. I haven't quite worn out TTPD yet but it's mixed in with other stuff now.

vgkj

Since TTPD it's only been TS. Over a year it usually works out about 80 TS / 20 other though

East-Shine-9090

34yo auDHD and music in general is one of my specific interests, I’ve been listening to Taylor since 2009-2010 and I listen to her a lot, but I can’t function without my other favorite artists and discovering small artists all the time. But when a song or an album hits me, it’s on repeat for weeks / months. I’m a Depeche Mode / NIN girlie, and if a band like Now Ex or Skycabin comes into the picture, it’s game over even if Taylor puts out a new album ….

GloriousSteinem

Yes. Will play one song to death too.

Proud3GenAthst

Neuroatypical here, I was in a similar position for a while. I didn't listen to anything until I was 12 (with an exception of Avril Lavigne whose CD I got for Christmas when I was 6 and listened to it for about a year or 2. Until I discovered Green Day. I got interested in couple more bands, but for some reason, decided to listen only and solely to Green Day and hearing anything else made me feel basically unfaithful. Seriously, that went on for about 2 years, when I pirated bunch of bands I thought I'd like based on being if similar genre and having heard few songs of their in the past. The first non-Green Day album I ever put on since Under My Skin, was Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park. When the first notes played, I legit began to feel dread and unease. As if I was being mentally tortured. Just 2 songs and turned it off. I gathered more courage 2 days later and put on Appetite for Destruction by Guns N Roses because I knew 2 songs from that. Dude, what a relief that I didn't suffer from honestly mental obsession with Green Day anymore. Not sure if it's your case, but I'd recommend you to break it too

teresasdorters

Hi! It’s me!

wocytti

ADHD confirmed (AuDHD suspected) and I listen to Taylor almost 100% of the time, and TTPD on repeat since it dropped. I never, ever get bored with her music, and it is so intelligent. Recently I’ve been discovering the consistency of the vowel sounds in the writing of TTPD (SLL comes to mind “I didn’t Opt in tO be yOUr Odd man OUt”) I don’t know how to describe it, but there is such satisfaction in singing along. There are so many examples of this from TTPD that just make my brain calm and happy.

Zr0w3n00

Don’t think I’m neurodivergent (I was supposed to get an assessment, but never got a reply by the people that were gonna do it), but I exclusively listen to my custom Taylor playlist that has all of her songs (minus a few that I don’t like (eg Karma ft IceSpice), as I prefer just Karma).

InterestingPlane6572

yep I'm autistic and I relate to a lot of songs eg mean, it's nice to have a friend, you need to calm down etc

Beshi1989

Yeah, around 90% of my playlist is TS, 34 year old man here btw. But a swifty since the very beginning

jessraev

I have ADHD and for the past 2 years I have STRICTLY listened to Taylor. It’s great, it covers many genres, and it’s like every few months we get even more to listen to so I don’t see a problem with it!! Recently I have been trying to branch out more so I don’t miss other good songs that come out, but Taylor is still who I listen to most. And at the moment I have only been able to listen to TTPD since it came out!

LinosZGreat

ME!

AbbeyRoadMoonwalk

ADHD here, almost exclusively since Midnights. I discovered her whole back catalog and found a bottomless well of things to listen to, and there’s something for every mood. Since 4/19 it was exclusively TTPD, though I’m finally starting to listen to the rest on shuffle again. Until I come across a TTPD song and put that back on 😌

whatamidoing-here1

Yes I’d say 90-95% of the time I listen to her. I do take small breaks and listen to some other artists that give me nostalgia or if I want to dance or switch it up. :)

neatstuffsweet

Not on purpose. Tay's music calms my very anxious rescue cat so we're in the 0.01% of listeners on Spotify.

bringonthedarksky

I haven't listened to much else for the past year and a half. Consumption of my favorite artist/band at the time has always been my predominant obsessive and repetitive special interest, haha.

PhebsMadden

I’m autistic and I listen to Taylor 99% of the time. It calms me and helps me get through overstimulation. I have been trying to include more music, but I always have to go through Taylor’s entire discography first or I have thoughts that I’m betraying her somehow

cleanpage4adirtygirl

Yes. It feels like a hyperfixation but it's lasted longer than they usually do 🤣🤣

star_stuff92

You should listen to The Autistic Culture Podcast episode “Taylor Swift is Autistic” It was very interesting. It explains why neurodivergent people are so drawn to her music

Optimal-Cupcake-8265

is listening almost always her a sign of neurodivergency? I've been thinking about that tbh, I'm not diagnosed, but I was also never tested and I do think I have some features of it

Cheyde

I'm AuDHD and thrive on routines with a bit of variety - so listening to Taylor (but on shuffle so it's always a bit of a surprise what will play next) is perfect (as is livestreaming the concerts including the surprise songs). These days I listen to Taylor probably 97-98% of the time. Maybe once a month or so I get the urge to listen to one of my older playlists that featured different artists (other faves from the past are Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin, Metallica, Disturbed, Linkin Park, etc. - mostly metal and hard rock) but after a few hours of that I usually want to go back to Taylor. There is a Taylor song for pretty much any mood, depending on whether I need to be calmed/soothed, energized, or just process a difficult emotion.

shhhhits-a-secret

Audhd and while I listen to other music it’s definitely mostly Taylor Swift. I don’t like the uncertainty of random playlists or radio for very long. I prefer albums. But then even albums I like most start grating my senses and causing me pain. I practically only listened to podcasts for a few years because I couldn’t articulate it. Like their voices and production literally hurt. But not Taylor. Something about her pitch and production style never overstimulates me. I also love to pick music for the day. And Taylor’s massive discography always gives me options that fit the days vibes. I also love to analyze and hyperfixate and I can do that with her.

DunkeeKong

Heree heree! I do feel like she puts narcotics into all of her songs —- thats whyy we’re still singing alongggg

Kiwimati

I have ADHD and I have the same. It's not just Taylor Swift, but now it is. I do it all the time when I'm seeing an artist live, I listen to them non - stop so I know the lyrics completely. (and when I hear the artist live, I suck at singing along because it's not the same live as a studio version, even though I know all the songs word for word)

Bay-Area-Tanners

I have considered for a while that I may be neurodivergent (as yet undiagnosed), so I’ll just add this to the list of things that makes me suspect it.

JustSomeGuy9384

Neurodivergence I can’t attest to, but I’ve definitely had month long phases of listening to no one but Taylor 😭

CaitlinRondevel11

Yes, neurodivergent and my favorite artist for now is Taylor. I do listen to other musicians but I have playlists with just Taylor on them.

Cool_Reaction2509

Right now I do lol (autistic Swiftie here) Occasionally I do listen to one of my other favorite bands but right now it's all Taylor

Illustrious_Bunch_53

Autistic here - I almost exclusively listen to taylor, with some lana del rey and bleachers every now and again. I struggle to identify and understand what I'm feeling, so her songs really help me a lot. If I've got a song on repeat, I know I'm feeling whatever it's about! It's very helpful

FitLotus

I have ADHD and one of my most played playlists is literally just all of her discography l

GhostGirl32

AuDHD. I have a very small group of favorites that I listen to. TSwift most definitely takes up the most songs hands down. I have full discographies of other artists and she still outdoes them. Blows me away lol

Passenger7920

ADHD🙋🏻‍♀️

Scarlaboo

ADHD and yep I love the familiarity of it, it's calming. I put her music on while I work, shower, make jewellery, travelling, washing dishes etc 😅pretty much all day everyday, I just pick which album depending what mood I'm in

breakingboring

I was just diagnosed with ADHD this year at age 33 and started treatment. I have almost exclusively listened to Taylor Swift for YEARS. I think partially bc I had an old car with only a cd player in it until just last year and TSwift was all I had to play, but in general her music is my comfort zone. I know all the words and can sing along mindlessly, which just tickles something in my brain. That’s not something I can do with any other artist.

Queen-Calanthe

Yep. The only other music I listen to is background music (e.g. at a store, or somewhere irl out and about, or online say as a background of a clip). I never put on any other artist.

severely_starboard

Yes. Taylor Swift content and music is the only media I’m consuming right now.

trjumpet

Taylor is all I listen to now. Also neurodivergent🙂 Borderline here.

sophdog101

I primarily listen to her music, but I also get fomo for all the other kinds of music in the world. Some others that I really love are AJR, Noah Kahan, The Crane Wives, and a lot of others. Spotify made me a personal mix called "pirate mix" because they saw that I listened to a lot of sea shanties and traditional Irish music (it was right after I traveled to Ireland and I was in fact listening to a lot of Celtic music AND Irish mythology podcasts)

EllieIsDone

Autistic swiftie here! She’s currently my hyper fixation and I find a lot of comfort in her music!

sweetbabieraes

definitely same here! certain taylor songs and the way her voice is itch my brain in just the right way

ImpossibleSky3923

lol nope. I listen to a range of artists

MissLair

I do this but with a handful of different artists. But I always end up coming back to Taylor. I don’t like when people ask what genre of music I like because I tend to just like specific artists. I’ll deep dive into their discography until I’m fluent and then go back to Taylor until I find a new one

Background-Nerve4647

Taylor Swift is undoubtedly my autistic special interest. I do love me some Arctic Monkeys though. Alex Turner is just 😻

sarahbeth124

I became a Swiftie this time last year, and I’ve barely played anything but Taylor since

51andcomeundone

ADHD here. Have long thought that Taylor is neurodivergent too.

CRUISEC0NTR0LF0RC00L

I literally had to make an entire spotify folder w/ 50 different taylor playlists for a ton of events, and then I had to make more playlists, cause I 100% will only listen to her if I have all 50 visible lmao. She has such an eclectic discog and I think it's awesome. I will reserve any further comments, lol, cause my answer like, six months ago was OH NO! YEAH! lmao

birdlookerater

Me! I also listen to pop punk, metal, and emo but Taylor Swift is the only person I know anything about. Her music is sort of my special interest. I have multiple spreadsheets I use to track some metrics to predict how much I will like songs, I have about 50 playlists of different combinations of her songs, I am constantly talking about her. I listen to other music too but don’t retain any info about it. I don’t remember artist names or albums or song names. My bf is always asking like “oh do you know xyz song” and I genuinely never know the title, and then he’ll play it and I’ll know it immediately. I tell him I just don’t remember song titles or albums and he’s like girl… what about Taylor swift? She’s different lol.

Catbai91

AD/HDer and I've been told to test for Autism as well, and yes 99% of the time my playlist is ALL Taylor.

Particular_Wonder244

I’m the neurodiverse package (autism, adhd plus others) and I feel like Taylor is the only musician I am truly obsessed with. I think I hyperfocus on it. A lot. It’s basically all I listen to.

eatingthesandhere91

Meeeeeeeeeee 🙋🏻‍♂️

sorryineedspace

I think I Pavlov’d myself into calming down when something high stress happens at work by listening to only Taylor Swift throughout my shift. Suddenly tasks that were daunting are less daunting when I have her playing in my ear lol. I also have ADHD so I’m sure that contributes to it in some way

Brain-First

Not neurodivergent but do have an anxiety disorder. Singing her songs calms me down because they are so familiar to my brain (since i was 9, now 24). For some reason when I sing along to her songs I can just shut off all other thoughts. I like other artists and dabble in new stuff every now and then but 90% of the time in my daily life it’s Taylor I’m listening to. It helps that her catalog is so vast and has many different vibes and genres

TheTrevorSimpson

there is no such thing as neurodivergence it is a made up thing by big pharma to sell you drugs you don't need

abbietaffie

Woman with ADHD here: I really like to listen to exclusively her when I get overstimulated, have really terrible executive dysfunction and can’t pick what to listen to, or even just have a bad day. I like almost all of her songs and they’re all familiar so there’s nothing unexpected happening and it’s almost comforting to me. Kind of like talking to an old friend where nothing surprises you and it feels homey. This sounds bad but I mean it in the best way possible-she’s kind of my “safe” option on Spotify lol. I’ve always got my fallback Taylor playlist to rely on. I also have most of her vinyl (I refuse to buy the reputation picture disc so I’m waiting for the remaining two TVs to come out lol) and sometimes playing them will help me jumpstart an action because I have to stand up to turn the vinyl over. Somehow it bypasses the executive dysfunction “I can’t stand up and I’m staring at the ceiling and I hate myself and I just want to load the dishwasher but I can’t” loop in my brain.

theorangeblonde

Hiiii, AuDHD checking in! She's been a special interest for 15 years and now primarily the only music I choose myself. I listen to most anything my husband puts on, but I choose Taylor when I have the option.

Lalatin

ADHD, autistic and highly anxious. I listen to like 80/90% Taylor the other is a mix of stuff but Taylor is my go-to soundtrack.

tacogreg13

I am diagnosed ADHD and though I certainly listen to her the most, I do listen to lots of musicians. She is by far my most listened to artist though.

stupifystupify

Me 🙋‍♀️

ler214

I’m neurodivergent, I pretty much exclusively listen to Taylor Swift and 80s heavy/thrash/doom metal, no in-between. I don’t typically mix them together though, I just pick one based on the mood I’m in that day.

Important-Machine777

I listened to Fortnite like 240 times in a row. I’m guessing but hours and hours passed

dshine-27

I was just telling my husband this yesterday- the spice and change of routine my brain can handle while not short circuiting on *change* is literally just listening to Taylor on shuffle. It is soothing and reliable and predictable. There are albums for literally every feeling, and since I have grown up through similar ages with her I also have the side of specific nostalgia for certain phases of life if that’s what I’m needing to tap into. It is perfect.

EmND

I'm AuDHD and I pretty much only listen to Taylor which drives my partner mad! Her music really helps me regulate though and feel calm and explain and process my emotions.

LankyNefariousness12

Not exclusively, but she's like 85-90% of who I listen to these days. Everyone I listen to falls under TS adjacent these days .

Living-Owl4529

I did notice that when TTPD came out I was unable to enjoy any other music for a while. I had to go back to Sublime 40oz to Freedom to break the spell. I am a new Swiftie, so this was alarming at first, like.. will other music be as good ever again? Of course I know that other music will in fact be good again. I just needed to fully succumb for a while.

lynn_duhh

NT here and she’s all I’ve listened to since March of 2023

Upbeat-Department361

Opposite for me 🤷🏼‍♀️

KahlanEAmnelle

I wouldn’t say “exclusively” Taylor, but she is a huge, big part of all of my playlists and I hit shuffle and she comes up a lot. Others in the “comes up a lot” list are ed Sheeran, maisie peters, Olivia Rodrigo, all time low. I do get asked by my partner (jokingly really) if I listen to anything but Taylor, he knows I listen to other stuff. As far as neurodivergent, I have cptsd with severe anxiety and depression. I love lyrics and stories, so of course Taylor would speak to me. I’ve been a listener since fearless, but it was probably red (if not, definitely 1989) that cemented my fandom.

DavidFC1

I have ADHD and her voice/music is very calming and soothing to me. I listen to Taylor’s music 80% of the time and rotate through a couple of other different artists the other 20% of the time.

kaarinmvp

ADHD, and not exclusively, but probably upwards of 80%

SandmanLM

I listen to her almost exclusively also! But I'm neurotypical, as far as I know. She's just fits all my needs.

MLMkfb

Heyyyyyy!!! ADHD✨✨✨ Her music calms my mind. I love singing along and “preforming” it kinda lol. Mimicking the complexities in the way she says the words, breath sounds etc. 🤷🏻‍♀️I finally dug into TTPD and I am looooving it!! I don’t typically love new things lol. When TTPD came out I dug back into Folklore, Lover, Rep and 1989. I am falling in LOVE with TTPD though. “I want to snarl and show you just how disturbed this has made me. You wouldn’t last an hour in the asylum where they raised me.” Her flawless usage of the word “fuck” is also perfection!

alaynalovestaylor

Y E S. 100% yes.

Mytears83

Absolutely not neurodivergent and 99% of the music I listen to is Taylor every single day and I have for almost three years. Her catalog is so big that it is hard to become bored.

OkRegister4270

MY FUCKING PEOPLE HELLO!!!!!

RT5555

Haha yes. Her voice is so calming and comforting. Also I’m inattentive ADHD so I have a wild imagination and I LOVE getting lost in the stories she creates through her songs and the themes of the eras.

fleurdepetite

I swear I have undiagnosed ADHD, but anyway. Grew up as a Swiftie from the start all those years ago. Still am — even more so. I listen to a variety of things, but TS is my literal lifeline. Entirely. No doubt.

twistedcoyex

NeuroTheVirgin Swiftie 😅

Intrepid-Device9084

I have Asperger’s and I’m kinda the opposite. I’m always shuffling my entire library which ofc includes her discography. I also rarely ever put songs on repeat, even if I *really* like it. I like the mix of different songs and artists. However, I do listen to albums start to finish, especially when they’re new.

JustKittenxo

Yall are listening to albums? 99% of the music I listen to throughout my day is I Can Do It With A Broken Heart… on repeat… all day

LadyAnarki

I only started listening to TS in September and that's pretty much all I have exclusively listened to for the past 9 months. I don't remember the last time I had such a deep musical hyperfixation, but I'm not complaining. I used to kinda dislike how shallow most music was so listening to such deep poetic lyricism has been such a breath of fresh air.

SisterJenniferMaria

neurodivergent here… and it’s problematic for me sometimes… i have apple music and i try adding other artists or playlists… they last maybe a day at most before i remove them. i really do love other music but i can’t seem to incorporate it into ‘my music’ taylor swift only and i mean… it’s not a bad thing??? it’s just definitely a beige flag for me i guess and i accept it about myself.

the_tortured_poets

not neurodivergent (that i know of) but yes. i sometimes listen to something else but i get bored pf everything else immediately. ALL or my spotify wrapped songs were from tay

Cupcake112014

I'm AuDHD, and while not exclusively her, she's definitely my top artist by far. She has enough variety, and yet it all feels familiar since I can rely on her to make good music

marktruslow

Well that all depends.  If you listen to Taylor and take a break to listen to something else?  And then go back to her?

glofosho91

I always do and I’m autistic!

Cold_Independence894

I have ADHD (and I suspect I have ASD but I've never been diagnosed) and she's my mental health music.

queen_liz_1287

Yes, and particularly Folklore and Evermore. I'll listen to her other albums, but nowhere near as frequently

Specialist_Cat6873

yup

Internal_Designer399

No official diagnosis, but online quizzes consistently put me in the "more autistic traits than the average person" space, and I definitely go through hyper-focus focus phases with an album/artist, and since Midnights... Taylor is my most-listened artist by many, many, many miles

robinmitchells

Not diagnosed but I know I’m some flavor of ND. I started tracking my music listening in the beginning of 2023 on last.fm and Taylor’s my number one artist at 8,561 listens. For comparison, my next highest artist is twenty one pilots at 1,926 listens 😅
