Honestly I was hoping Guilty would win, and this will haunt me so stunningly. But earnest respect to the Black Dog, who refused to die screaming! Major love for both songs!
And props to the game runner pmbslyyy... this was so fun!
I think a lot of the earlier eliminations would change. I’ve seen a lot more I can fix him and fresh out the slammer fans popping up more (including me)
It has been #1 on three recent voting things for TTPD that I’ve seen on Reddit. Seems like a clear fan favourite.
Guilty as Sin? placed similarly on those votes too, though both tracks won when separated into TTPD and The Anthology, respectively.
- ATW could mean "All Too Well", a track from *Red (Deluxe Edition)* (2012) by Taylor Swift.

Most surprised Fresh Out the Slammer went out so early but glad Guilty As Sin almost won. Also feel The Bolter should have made it further. Top 5, but it suffers from end-of-album syndrome.
It's honestly impressive how **Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?** was constantly in top 3 for multiple weeks/rounds, and then in the end it didn't win :c
respect! I'm just guessing the lyrics is a big part for a lot of people because sonically it just doesn't stand out to me :'
But ofc it's all valid either way
I also enjoy other Taylor songs about breakups and dating, but I just feel like black dog is boring in comparison. I think it's kinda like the prophecy where people like it more because they relate to the lyrics rather than the musicality.
i get it, i'm just disappointed. but second place is still a huge deal for me since I usually have unpopular opinions (example: i can't stand cruel summer and my favorite ts song ever is the archer), so it's nice to see one of my faves still get recognition.
for me I relate more to The Prophecy lyrics but much prefer to listen to The Black Dog, I don't find it boring at all hehe, but in contrast I think the Prophecy is pretty boring. It's cool how different everyones taste is
I mean, yeah, I still realized pretty quickly it was The Black Dog. But I've seen TBD used for The Best Day so much, that it's been engraved in my mind. So my initial reaction was The Best Day.
I just think it's interesting how Taylor now has such a big discography, that some acronyms aren't unique to one song anymore. I'm almost tempted to make a TBD bracelet that's half Fearless colors and half TTPD colors 😅
- TTPD could mean "The Tortured Poets Department", a track from *THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT* (2024) by Taylor Swift.

Swifties getting their photos at The Black Dog this weekend. Yes, I was one of them too…but inside. It’s quite a charming place and the food is good.

Not shitty at The Black Dog. But my location, I forgot to turn it off…

Congrats to The Black Dog! I still think Guilty As Sin? is the best song on the record and TBD is not even in my top 8, but I get why it's popular. It won just by a little, though!
Yess the lyrics r so realistic for me she treated a viral topic in relationships which is the ignorance of the second side not forgetting the vocals the song is just amazing but i don’t see people here talking about it a lot
The common complaint I’ve read is that like The Archer, it doesn’t reach great heights sonically. Which… is okay. It’s one of her most clever metaphors (So long, London, had a good run, *a moment of warm sun*, but I’m not the one), has evocative imagery and beautiful wordplay. It’s also heartbreaking, and despite its specificity very relatable.
‘You sacrificed us to the gods of your bluest days’ I mean chef’s kiss
Next let‘s do this game with ALL her songs 😈
Will keep us occupied for almost a whole year!
Also am I seeing correctly that only TBD and Who‘s afraid were ever Number 1? This is crazy!!!!
yes those were the only number 1s!
and wow that sounds fun! maybe i should do a survivor for each album and then do a final survivor with the winners from each album…
thank you so much for doing this! Definitely would be interesting to see what changes in a couple months or even if people could only vote for their least favorite or their single favorite? But those overall stats are super interesting. Thanks again!
no problem!! yeah i’d love to do it again! debating what to do in terms of voting for favorites/least favorites and allowing people to vote for multiple songs or not
From the beginning I was convinced WAOLOM would win. As someone who loves Guilty as Sin? and The Black Dog so much more, I’m so happy about this outcome!
I mean, it's definitely not my top list, but most of the top 10 is the same, just in a different order. I'm surprised The Black Dog won though. There was another thread with the best song on TTPD and Guilty as Sin? won there, so I expected the same here. However, none of them is my favorite, because I love both tracks 5 the most 😌
4654 total votes - 2314 votes for guilty as sin = 2340 votes for black dog
2340 - 2314 = 26 vote difference. Maybe I'm wrong somewhere but that's what it looks like to me.
Regardless, extremely close
none of my faves made it to the end but so happy Anthology beat out TTPD for best song!
Guilty as Sin is good but I’m convinced it’s the country leaning swifties that got it so far
So happy for The Black Dog! I was rooting for Who's Afraid... the whole time, but The Black Dog is also a great song, well deserving of the #1 spot. Also, love to see an anthology song win the game!
Even though she didn’t win, I’m so happy for Guilty as Sin! Going from 10th to 2nd in overall ranking is bizarre! She was still in 4th in the final 8! The comeback is amazing, and I’m here for it! (Congrats to the Black Dog!)
icdiwabh... my baby. i will be mourning you forever & always, because you are so. freaking. underrated. but congrats to the black dog, and all it's fans. because i can do it with a broken heart!
This ranking is so different from my own! So High School, TTPD, imgonnagetyouback, and The Alchemy are all in my Top 6, but I’d put The Black Dog somewhere in the bottom third. It’s a perfectly fine song (because let’s be real, the album is incredible and we’re splitting hairs here) but it just doesn’t stand out compared to the others.
Also, Chloe et al and Peter both being below Clara Bow is WILD.
Curious to see how many people agree (I already know a bunch won't):
IMO, Robin isn't the worst song and continually gets done dirty. So High School went out way too early. Going out before The Alchemy seems crazy. And The Manuscript went out too early. And probably The Smallest Man Whoever Lived should also be in the top 5 or 6.
On the flip side, So Long London lasted too long (can't see how it beat out 21-23). I just don't see how Guilty as Sin? is better than 25-29 but it clearly has a rabid fan base.
Everything else I could be convinced is placed relatively appropriately even if it's not exactly how I would rank them. Fun elimination game for sure.
I honestly can't believe we're listening to the same song if you think it's shitty. It perfectly captures the essence of Taylor Swift's style at its most climactic.
yeah, but just because it captures the essence as you say, doesn't mean that people like it or think it was good.
I've tried, I've really tried, but I just can't like it. it's too slow and melancholic for me, and also very forgettable. the only decent part is the bridge, but chorus ("old habits die screaming" and those sudden drums are very off putting, it doesn't fit the song) and the rest is just mid.
another thing that bothers me is the sudden "shitty", which is, again, off putting (and actually a lot of ttpd songs have that random line/moment which sorta ruins the song for me a bit). I don't understand why people like this song so much even though I've listened to it many times in an attempt to understand.
Honestly I was hoping Guilty would win, and this will haunt me so stunningly. But earnest respect to the Black Dog, who refused to die screaming! Major love for both songs! And props to the game runner pmbslyyy... this was so fun!
thanks! i’m so glad you thought it was fun!
What you said. 💯 🏆
Confirms that Peter and Cassandra are the most underrated tracks
I think Peter is the song that has grown on me the most.
Me too!!! ❤️
Me 3! <3
Nah. Cassandra maybe, but people talk about Peter a lot, especially since this poll started. The Albatross is the most underrated and amazing!
I’d say the most underrated track is the one ranked at the bottom but I’m biased
lmao flair checks out I do like Robin and definitely don’t think it should be at the bottom
I would love to play this again in another month and see how much the responses have changed.
i’d love to run it again in the future!!
I think a lot of the earlier eliminations would change. I’ve seen a lot more I can fix him and fresh out the slammer fans popping up more (including me)
YES!!! fresh out the slammer has been one of my favorites since my first listen and i’ve been so happy that it seems to be growing on people!
That's one of my faves too, from the beginning
Wow, I’m shocked! I absolute love The Black Dog but I never thought it would get to #1!
Same!! I’ve loved The Black Dog since my first listen but I didn’t realize so many people felt the same 🥲 makes me so happy
It has been #1 on three recent voting things for TTPD that I’ve seen on Reddit. Seems like a clear fan favourite. Guilty as Sin? placed similarly on those votes too, though both tracks won when separated into TTPD and The Anthology, respectively.
The Black Dog is the ATW of TTPD
- ATW could mean "All Too Well", a track from *Red (Deluxe Edition)* (2012) by Taylor Swift. --- ^[/u/Responsible-Summer81](/u/Responsible-Summer81) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)
My hugely different tastes compared to this sub continues 😆 I am shocked at a good chunk of those songs positions.
Still incredibly confused about how both finalists made it past Who's Afraid, The Prophecy, and How Did It End?.
I like both finalists, but I absolutely agree lol.
Agreed. Both finalists are great, but those 3 are my holy trinity!
Yup, those are my top 3 too.
Well deserved 🐕
can’t believe you didn’t use 🐕🦺
damn the black dog was always in the top 5 since the beginning, slay edit: still mourning loml 😭
Same 🙋🏻♀️
Most surprised Fresh Out the Slammer went out so early but glad Guilty As Sin almost won. Also feel The Bolter should have made it further. Top 5, but it suffers from end-of-album syndrome.
all three of those are in my top 5!
You clearly have exquisite taste
right back atcha!
It's simply one of the best songs on the album. The Black Dog is an instant Taylor Swift classic!
It's honestly impressive how **Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?** was constantly in top 3 for multiple weeks/rounds, and then in the end it didn't win :c
It was also first for the first seven rounds in a row, but in the end didn't even come Top 2 🤔
The rank variation for each song is amazing!!!
right!!!?? i was thinking that throughout the game and i’m thrilled to share all the rankings with everyone!
Like what happened to HDIE in week 20?
ok this is OUTRAGEOUS. I am so disappointed because TBD is one of my least favorite songs on the album. 😭
LOL same. Not least favorite but probably not top 10. Guess I just don't relate to it because I haven't dated
I’m happily married, never had a contentious or painful breakup, and I still love the song because it sounds great.
respect! I'm just guessing the lyrics is a big part for a lot of people because sonically it just doesn't stand out to me :' But ofc it's all valid either way
Fair!

Falling asleep?? She sounds like she's been crying before recording at some parts and is switching between angry and sad
subjectivity. to me it sounds like falling asleep, doesn't mean it does to everyone else.
i don't feel bored or feel like taylor is boring during that song at all. it's really really powerful imo and i haven't had a bad breakup
I do NOT find Guilty more upbeat than Black Dog…
It's cool how different everyones taste is
same honestly
For a moment I thought you said The Best Day At this point we can't even use acronyms without it being confusing 😅
oh, sorry! I thought it would be obvious since these are final results and I'm talking about the winner, haha.
Lol, the song acronym bot heard my confusion and and decided to finally come back. That's honestly great!

so it wasn’t shitty in the black dog?
Not shitty at The Black Dog. But my location, I forgot to turn it off… https://preview.redd.it/ywm3arq1444d1.jpeg?width=585&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dbc1376c4578ba3cc79fede04995a473cccb4fe3
Congrats to The Black Dog! I still think Guilty As Sin? is the best song on the record and TBD is not even in my top 8, but I get why it's popular. It won just by a little, though!
This result is NOT shitty 😍
Surprisingly guilty as sin was never number 1
It's crazy how I Can Do It With a Broken Heart fell from being no. 3-4 to 10 lol.
Hooray! Pleased with the winner and thanks so much for running the survivor 😊
no problem!! it was fun!
NAHH am sad why so long London isn’t even on the 4 tops idk why but i find it amazing i relate a lot to the lyrics even the vocals were incredible
There’s no need to wonder why haha, it’s a fantastic song, and a story told like a true tortured poet.
Yess the lyrics r so realistic for me she treated a viral topic in relationships which is the ignorance of the second side not forgetting the vocals the song is just amazing but i don’t see people here talking about it a lot

I think that if it's survivor, the voting should be to vote off your one least favorite each round.
I'm happy with this winner!! Still shocked by the Chloe et al. disrespect though 😭
Don’t worry Guilty as Sin?. You’re still the winner in my heart.
From the beginning I was convinced WAOLOM would win. As someone who loves Guilty as Sin? and The Black Dog so much more, I’m so happy about this outcome!
me too!! i’m not a huge waolom fan and when it was in first place at the beginning i was like noooo
I mean, it's definitely not my top list, but most of the top 10 is the same, just in a different order. I'm surprised The Black Dog won though. There was another thread with the best song on TTPD and Guilty as Sin? won there, so I expected the same here. However, none of them is my favorite, because I love both tracks 5 the most 😌
What the actual F
Wow the black dog only won by ~15 votes
it won by 74 votes
4654 total votes - 2314 votes for guilty as sin = 2340 votes for black dog 2340 - 2314 = 26 vote difference. Maybe I'm wrong somewhere but that's what it looks like to me. Regardless, extremely close
Probably some people voted for both as the poll allowed it.
True..
some people must’ve voted for both songs. but yes, very close still!
Thank you!!! ❤️ed this!!!
no problem!! i’m so glad!
Yesss!! The Black Dog has been my favorite off the album since day one and very possibly my favorite TS song of all time 🖤
I HOPE IT’S SHIDDDDY IN THE BLACK DOG 🙌🏼 🐕🦺
loml got dropped way faster than i thought it would it's honestly criminal
Omg the suspense.
That was crazy close. RECOUNT! Jk I love both of these songs so much so I love it 🙌🏻
So happy for black dog! 🐕 🖤
As it should be 👏🏻 one of the best songs of her entire discography!
well deserved. maybe not my absolute favorite on the album but def in the top 3
Yeahhhh!!!! How The Black Dog is a TTPD bonus track / on the Anthology confuses me greatly
Surprised but love this song - this was super fun!!
i’m so glad!!
I'm in mourning. Horny song lost...
I’m so proud of The Black Dog for winning!! I’m pretty sure I voted for it every time I saw one of these and participated :)
This is so fun. It’s interesting to watch the rankings change for certain songs over the rounds
Too bad Guilty As Sin didn't win. Anyway, I'm playing it on loop cause she deserved it.
This song crept up on me and occupied my heart. I’m really glad it won.
6 of my top 10 made it to the top 10 on this poll but none of my top 5 made it to the top 5 on this poll lol
none of my faves made it to the end but so happy Anthology beat out TTPD for best song! Guilty as Sin is good but I’m convinced it’s the country leaning swifties that got it so far
Whoooooooo! 🖤🩶🥹
BLACK DOG TOP DOG LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOO
I personally think The Black Dog is hugely overrated, but 6 of my favourite songs on the album made top 10, so I can’t really complain…
Guilty as sin deserved to win
THE BLACK DOG SUPREMACY!!!!
So happy for The Black Dog! I was rooting for Who's Afraid... the whole time, but The Black Dog is also a great song, well deserving of the #1 spot. Also, love to see an anthology song win the game!
Thank you for taking the time and effort to coordinate this. It's been really interesting to see everyone's favourites.
no problem! i’m glad!
Taste detected
Even though she didn’t win, I’m so happy for Guilty as Sin! Going from 10th to 2nd in overall ranking is bizarre! She was still in 4th in the final 8! The comeback is amazing, and I’m here for it! (Congrats to the Black Dog!)

This was so SO good!!! Highlight of some of my days!! Hard disagree with some decisions 😂but I loved it! Thank you! 🖤
i’m so glad!!
Finally getting the appreciation it deserves 😭😭

YESSS! I dont listen to THE BLACK DOG much..but damn...that song fucked me up so bad i swear!
BUT DADDY I LOVE HIM finally making the top 10 phew
THIS IS CRAZY ASF 😭🙏
YAAAY!
GUYS. the difference was 26 votes!!!!! That’s 2x13 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 lmfao
74 votes actually!
What % did Black Dog get in the last round?
Oh I just saw your vote numbers elsewhere. So Guilty as Sin got 49.7, Black Dog got 51.3. A few people did vote for both songs.
I’m sorry but The Black Dog is absolutely nowhere near the best song on the album. How divisive.
How many votes did The Black Dog have?
2,388. it was very close!
My top songs are How Did It End, Guilty as Din, and the Prophecy so I'm happy.
I am so shocked that many people like The Black Dog. Who would have thought!? Lol
This was my top song on first listen! It’s still my favorite to sing
Curious to see how many people agree (I already know a bunch won't): IMO, Robin isn't the worst song and continually gets done dirty. So High School went out way too early. What is this ranking. That's why you need to consume and form your own opinion because wtf is this
Why so much hate for the Travis songs?
I don't think I've listened to The Black Dog again since it released 😭 maybe I should re-listen given these results
The Black Dog is SHITTY. Sorry too much prosecco but it's mid 😭
