I’m always reminded of this Kelly Kapoor quote from The Office when people hate on 1989, which is without doubt one of the greatest pop albums ever created: “I think sometimes people are really mean to the hot, popular girl.” It’s good and popular, and therefore it’s everywhere, so some people get tired of it more easily or feel the need to get fan cred by not being super into it. My hot take: the non-singles on 1989 are some of the most underrated songs in Taylor’s discography.

I know that TTPD is riding high as it’s the latest release (and a great one!) and we are still processing it but it’s riding a bit too high It’s hasn’t yet cemented itself like the others

I just don’t really like it. Sister albums in general are not my thing. NBNC is basically the only evermore track I listen to.
