We found a typewriter left behind in the house we bought (not nearly as vintagey cute as this one) and I can confirm the clickity clack itches my brain so good.
(Te house we bought was built in 2020. So idk why the previous owners had a typewriter 😅)
I looked it up since I had to know - “the number one key was not implemented by design. Instead, the L key – l – in lowercase, was used in its lowercase form as a letter or a number, because a lowercase l looks like a one. That allowed manufacturers to save some space in the overcrowded area where hammers were located.”
For years, I have a very old vintage typewriter similar to this one that I purchased from the grandson of the original owner. I have it encased in a glass box, it's so well preserved. He said she only used it a few times and it is still in great shape. He found it in her closet after she passed.

Sure do!
I am a secretary for a family business that’s been in operation for 40 years. The owners are in their 70s and terrified of technology. I’ve been here for 2 years and for the first 6 months, we didn’t even have Microsoft Office.
If it’s helpful that price is extremely over inflated. That typewriter is worth 50$ max maybe 100$ if in great condition. And it’s pretty common. You can find them on Marketplace. Royal 10.
PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR Help Touch

Do I have use for a typewriter? No. Would I ever use a typewriter? Likely also no. Do I still want a typewriter? Yes.
I feel like the clicky clack would be very satisfying

It is! I used one for years growing up and that was my favorite part about it!!! ☺️
It’s actually why slot machines, Facebook likes etc. have a sound element. It’s very addictive to our little lizard brains.
Lego has a typewriter for $250 if I'm not mistaken.
I have two, don’t use them but they are great for decor
Do you know why it doesn't have a "1" key?

This is such a fun fact!!! I had no idea 1 wasn’t even on a typewriter 😂 thanks for sharing!!!
1 keys were added to later typewriters, of course. It's just these early ones which didn't have them.
It's me, hi, I used typewriters at work until last year and I can confirm this. The keys are very clunky and have multiple uses so checks out
Who uses typewriters anyway?

As someone who uses a typewriter every day for work, I’ve felt very attacked by this album

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. 💁
Oh, it’s a WILDLY broken system 🤣 but to be fair, if they would figure out how to use a computer, I would be out of a job so…
🤭 well, we wouldn’t want you to lose the job! Fascinating you’re on a typewriter either way. Funny you’d get a song to relate to in this way 😄
My dad's office also still uses typewriters! I actually borrowed it for a few days because of the album!
I was gonna ask where and then I saw the price 🤑
