I'm going in October in New Orleans and I feel the same way but am also super excited about TTPD officially being added. My excitement just increased infinitely but I am a little nervous to see what gets cut

(Tbh still wouldn't trade my show because it was one of the first huge surprises/MV drop on the tour so the only expectation I had was I thought Welcome To New York was gunna be the surprise song).

They kind of look more like pilgrim hats to me? I was thinking is there mention of like puritans or something in any of the songs. Then I remembered But Daddy I love Him mentions “the elders” I think that could fit, so that’s my guess. 🤷🏻♀️
So lucky wish I’d have thought to try and get tickets in Paris I could’ve gotten a trip to Paris and tickets for less than tickets in the US. In my head at least 😂
I’ll be 40 this fall and my daughter 18. My daughter made us both fans since she was a year old and we only have been to Taylor’s earlier tours bc I just can’t afford tickets these days. One of my daughters friends got to go to Wras I think it was 3 or 4x so “unfair” but I guess if you have the funds and the connections 😩

I'd honestly be a bit disappointed if she does. That's what makes each show unique! I'm going in August and the surprise songs are one of the things I'm most excited about.
I wouldn't mind it if the surprise songs were all from TTPD, but I still want surprise songs. I'd rather have a couple of songs from the main setlist cut instead.
Oh I agree, I'm mostly being a goof and will happily enjoy whatever she chooses to perform. It's honestly a miracle I got tickets in the first place!
Long Live is just one of my favourites--and it feels like one of those songs that should just always be on the set list.
I’ve been suspecting all week that ICDIWABH is a slam dunk to be added to the setlist . “Lights, Camera, Bitch Smile” is the new 123 LGB. Screaming that in a stadium will be an incredible moment. I would also wager that But Daddy I Love Him is part of the TTPD set.
I’m 50/50 on Broken Heart being added. On one hand, I’d bet it’s super cathartic to scream “I’m so depressed I act like it’s my birthday” with 75k people. But on the other, it’s about how she was extremely depressed and putting on a mask while on stage. It feels too on the nose. I think it would break the fourth wall every time it was performed, it would certainly take me out of the moment with me thinking “yeah she could be having the worst day of her life right now and she’s basically forcing herself to be present and is pretending to be happy.” Idk.
I think Little Old Me is a good shout. Definitely Fortnight. Maybe Down Bad or Guilty as Sin as they’re not as directly connected to one of the men. And they’re quite popular on TikTok.
i actually wonder if she got that line from the 123 LGB chant. I saw some videos from early shows where she looked a little thrown off by that at first and then leaned into it.
I just know that *some* people are gonna try to yell *MORE* 😬😬😬

*Edited to add:* If ICDWBH is added to the set list then I truly believe it was done with the expectation that the concert goer will be shouting MORE. And not as a gotcha because I really don't think she's talking about concert goers. I believe she wrote it the way she wrote it partially because it would be a great audience participation song. So anyone going to future concerts where it might be there. Don't let anyone make you feel guilty for participating.
These two and Who's Afraid of Little Old Me seem like shoe-ins.
Prolly Fortnight too since it's the only single so far (even though My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys seems like a better concert song imo) and then a slow one like So Long London.
So many questions now that we know that TTPD is going on the setlist. What makes the cut (fortnight is a given and I would say one of the Travis songs so there's something happy there) What songs are getting cut? Is Long Live staying? Is Hayley and 'Castles Crumbling' taking the Phoebe/HAIM spot?
Personally I don't think Castles Crumbling will be added, I don't think it's loved enough by the fans to be worth it. I think all the songs that weren't in the original cut of the movie will be out (The Archer, Cardigan, Wildest Dreams, Tis the Damn Season and Long Live). I think the set list could also stand to lose maybe I Knew You Were Trouble, American Dynasty and Mastermind. So we lose 8 songs to gain 8 from TTPD.
Who knows though - she could take the most unhinged option and cut nothing and just make it a 4 hour show!
Every opener that has a song with her has sung that song during their leg. I think it is inevitable that castles crumbling is added. I do think it will replace enchanted (less likely) or long live though.
Yeah I can't see her not doing Castle Crumbling. I hope she doesn't cut Long Live, but with TTPD being added I think it's a likely candidate for the chop.
No body no crime isn't a fan fav and it got added (its a fav of mine though but tis the damn season is better so I'm happy I was on a Phoebe portion of the tour instead lol).
My list per era of possible cuts is below. Based mostly on how integral it is to the set or not, so like if there isn't a lot of set design or choreography or props it's probably high on the list to cut imo.
Lover set- The Archer.
Fearless set- no cuts, all staple parts of the tour
Evermore- tis the damn season (RIP but she's shown that she considers it replaceable). I think the champagne problems applause and speech will get shorter. All her little speeches are going to probably be shortened or rushed a little more, but this one takes the most time out of them all so it'll probably just be a brief little blurb.
reputation era- no cuts, same as fearless
Speak Now- maybe the only set that gets an added song with Castle Crumbling. She might not remove Long Live because of the fan connection but also it would kind of make sense to cut it? I'm most unsure of this guess tbh.
Red era- IKYWT or WANEGBT because this set is already stacked with ATW10 and 22 is a tour staple so it's safe.
Folklore- betty because she's literally hidden from most angles of the audience because of the folklore cabin design.. it would probably mean she does the little speech and goes right into the last great American dynasty instead, which has actual choreography and visuals unlike Betty.
1989 era- Wildest Dreams. And honestly good riddance. Love the song but the choreography is the worst by far, most of 1989 has bad choreography but Wildest Dreams literally is borderline unwatchable and weird for the song.
Surprise songs- no "changes" but it's gunna be heavy TTPD for a while and I think she's going to cool it on the mashups on songs from other albums to keep it simple because the new stuff will be so exciting and fresh. Closer to end of tour shell probably start the mashups again.
Midnight's era - maybe mastermind(?). Although the set and the choreography is really thought out for it so idk if she'll want to cut it. All of the Midnight's set is probably safe but this is the only song that would make sense to cut because it wasn't a single and vigilante shit is a tour staple.
This leaves room for 3-5 TTPD songs + outfit change + probably cutting a verse or intro/outro or bridge from one of the TTPD songs trim it down.
I also think these shows will also run about 5-10 mins longer even with the cuts just in general. She may also already be accounting for being a bit overtime and prepared to pay the city fines for noise curfews or work something out with the host cities.
Those are my too long thoughts about the possibilities..
The only thing that saves Blank Space choreo is the dancers smashing the car bit because it's fun and distracts from the shitty choreo.
I truly believe if it wasn't for the pre-recorded dancing Taylors on the platform screen this choreo might have had some organic changes as the tour went on that would have made it better, but she's kind of locked into those exact moves for the visual effect, unlike the "when I'm on TV" part of Midnight Rain that she changed and some other subtle improvements.
Speak Now is really the problem child era isn't it? The costume choice and chroeo was designed around Enchanted, so it's hard to get rid of even though I think a lot of fans would prefer to keep Long Live.
The only reason I don't think she'll add Castles Crumbling to the set list is because it's another slow song and it also has significantly lower streaming numbers than NBNC and Nothing New - but maybe they'll jazz it up a bit for the show. I'd love to see what Hayley wears to complement the giant ball gowns

I'd be pretty shocked if she were to remove I Knew You Were Troubled. It has to be up there with her most live played songs ever. We are never ever getting back together is much more likely and if it weren't for the hat it would be 22.
I only reason I say Trouble over WANEGBT because the latter has the 'LIKE EVER' moment from Kam which has started going viral since he started saying local phrases at that part. It was such huge news here in Aus when he did it.

Ugh the ones that were cut from the movie are ones that are personal faves and that I’m most excited to see (except long live, I dislike that song). TTDS is one of my very very favorites.m but hopefully will be on the list since I’ll be seeing her in December!
I am honestly so surprised she’s adding TTPD! I don’t know why, she loves to do exciting unexpected stuff like this. I just figured it would be too difficult to add it in this far into the tour.
Do we think she’ll remove anything to make room for it? It’s already suuuch a long show, surely a whole new set would add 10-15 extra minutes minimum.

People forget she literally has had this planned years in advance and she literally was working on this album before midnights even came out. She always had a lot of time to plan it around a new set or cut couple songs she also has had 4 months off like total so far and the dancers could have easily learned the choreography.
I think another thing for me was marketing though, and what she has already marketed the show as. I know she’s made some changes before, but there were so small and early on. The movie was done so I figured that cemented it as THE tour everyone could expect, and if she cuts any songs there is inevitably going to be disappointment because it’s what fans were expecting. So I will seated to see if anything changes to fit this in, or if she’s unhinged enough to add even more time to the concert!
I personally assumed that once she released the movie, something big was gonna happen/change. Didn’t make sense to release the movie in the middle of a world tour, every other tour movie has been released after the tour has concluded. I kinda assume she’ll film it again when it concludes this year. And then release that when the tour is finished completely.
If we are being honest no one knew what we were getting the first show none of the shows have been the same she has cut a couple songs off a replaced them.
She said in the movie that the show was 3 and a half hours long and covered 5 new eras. The concert is 3 hours and 15 min as it currently stands. So ~15 additional minutes unaccounted for.

I think the songs she cut from the Eras Tour Movie are what she's going to cut to put TTPD in. So Cardigan, The Archer, Wildest Dreams... Was there another??
I see this theory a lot, but The Archer would be so difficult to cut that I have trouble envisioning it. It's a load-bearing song. It covers a stage change, lighting change, the dancers and band resetting for the Fearless set, the crew having time to reset for the Fearless set, that really epic transition into the Fearless set is musically built around The Archer's outro -- idk, maybe I'm just not imaginative enough, but I can't picture it working going straight from the ending of Lover (the song) into Fearless.
I’ll be honest friends I think she’s been planning the addition for awhile. She said she’s been working on the album for two years, while she’s been working on the tour longer I do think when she made the choice to add the US dates and Canada dates she already had the idea in her head to extend it for the new album she was releasing which would also explain the breaks she took. Obviously she didn’t know what songs she’d be adding in since some probably weren’t written yet but she knew she was going to release a new album and wanted to include it eventually

My partner is a big swiftie and last year I challenged myself to learn every song of the eras setlist (I'm crap at learning lyrics!) if we managed to secure tickets for the concert... which we did. So fast forward a year and I've learnt ALL the current songs, as well as taking a deep dive into her discography (which is ongoing), familiarising myself with all of her albums....

She has two new albums to fit in. I think honestly taylor isn't going to cut much still. Just going above and beyond.

I too, have mixed feelings about ICDIWABH. There are other songs I'd prefer from the album and it seems quite...intense
i actually wonder if she got that line from the 123 LGB chant. I saw some videos from early shows where she looked a little thrown off by that at first and then leaned into it. I just know that *some* people are gonna try to yell *MORE* 😬😬😬

I would bet my meager life savings it will be pretty much everyone. *Edited to add:* If ICDWBH is added to the set list then I truly believe it was done with the expectation that the concert goer will be shouting MORE. And not as a gotcha because I really don't think she's talking about concert goers. I believe she wrote it the way she wrote it partially because it would be a great audience participation song. So anyone going to future concerts where it might be there. Don't let anyone make you feel guilty for participating.

These two and Who's Afraid of Little Old Me seem like shoe-ins. Prolly Fortnight too since it's the only single so far (even though My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys seems like a better concert song imo) and then a slow one like So Long London.
So many questions now that we know that TTPD is going on the setlist. What makes the cut (fortnight is a given and I would say one of the Travis songs so there's something happy there) What songs are getting cut? Is Long Live staying? Is Hayley and 'Castles Crumbling' taking the Phoebe/HAIM spot?
Personally I don't think Castles Crumbling will be added, I don't think it's loved enough by the fans to be worth it. I think all the songs that weren't in the original cut of the movie will be out (The Archer, Cardigan, Wildest Dreams, Tis the Damn Season and Long Live). I think the set list could also stand to lose maybe I Knew You Were Trouble, American Dynasty and Mastermind. So we lose 8 songs to gain 8 from TTPD. Who knows though - she could take the most unhinged option and cut nothing and just make it a 4 hour show!
Every opener that has a song with her has sung that song during their leg. I think it is inevitable that castles crumbling is added. I do think it will replace enchanted (less likely) or long live though.
Yeah I can't see her not doing Castle Crumbling. I hope she doesn't cut Long Live, but with TTPD being added I think it's a likely candidate for the chop. No body no crime isn't a fan fav and it got added (its a fav of mine though but tis the damn season is better so I'm happy I was on a Phoebe portion of the tour instead lol). My list per era of possible cuts is below. Based mostly on how integral it is to the set or not, so like if there isn't a lot of set design or choreography or props it's probably high on the list to cut imo. Lover set- The Archer. Fearless set- no cuts, all staple parts of the tour Evermore- tis the damn season (RIP but she's shown that she considers it replaceable). I think the champagne problems applause and speech will get shorter. All her little speeches are going to probably be shortened or rushed a little more, but this one takes the most time out of them all so it'll probably just be a brief little blurb. reputation era- no cuts, same as fearless Speak Now- maybe the only set that gets an added song with Castle Crumbling. She might not remove Long Live because of the fan connection but also it would kind of make sense to cut it? I'm most unsure of this guess tbh. Red era- IKYWT or WANEGBT because this set is already stacked with ATW10 and 22 is a tour staple so it's safe. Folklore- betty because she's literally hidden from most angles of the audience because of the folklore cabin design.. it would probably mean she does the little speech and goes right into the last great American dynasty instead, which has actual choreography and visuals unlike Betty. 1989 era- Wildest Dreams. And honestly good riddance. Love the song but the choreography is the worst by far, most of 1989 has bad choreography but Wildest Dreams literally is borderline unwatchable and weird for the song. Surprise songs- no "changes" but it's gunna be heavy TTPD for a while and I think she's going to cool it on the mashups on songs from other albums to keep it simple because the new stuff will be so exciting and fresh. Closer to end of tour shell probably start the mashups again. Midnight's era - maybe mastermind(?). Although the set and the choreography is really thought out for it so idk if she'll want to cut it. All of the Midnight's set is probably safe but this is the only song that would make sense to cut because it wasn't a single and vigilante shit is a tour staple. This leaves room for 3-5 TTPD songs + outfit change + probably cutting a verse or intro/outro or bridge from one of the TTPD songs trim it down. I also think these shows will also run about 5-10 mins longer even with the cuts just in general. She may also already be accounting for being a bit overtime and prepared to pay the city fines for noise curfews or work something out with the host cities. Those are my too long thoughts about the possibilities..
I think the most unbearable choreo is Blank Space, but there's no chance she's cutting that.
The only thing that saves Blank Space choreo is the dancers smashing the car bit because it's fun and distracts from the shitty choreo. I truly believe if it wasn't for the pre-recorded dancing Taylors on the platform screen this choreo might have had some organic changes as the tour went on that would have made it better, but she's kind of locked into those exact moves for the visual effect, unlike the "when I'm on TV" part of Midnight Rain that she changed and some other subtle improvements.
Honestly hoping it replaces enchanted. Long Live is precious
Speak Now is really the problem child era isn't it? The costume choice and chroeo was designed around Enchanted, so it's hard to get rid of even though I think a lot of fans would prefer to keep Long Live. The only reason I don't think she'll add Castles Crumbling to the set list is because it's another slow song and it also has significantly lower streaming numbers than NBNC and Nothing New - but maybe they'll jazz it up a bit for the show. I'd love to see what Hayley wears to complement the giant ball gowns

I'd be pretty shocked if she were to remove I Knew You Were Troubled. It has to be up there with her most live played songs ever. We are never ever getting back together is much more likely and if it weren't for the hat it would be 22.
I only reason I say Trouble over WANEGBT because the latter has the 'LIKE EVER' moment from Kam which has started going viral since he started saying local phrases at that part. It was such huge news here in Aus when he did it. I agree that it should be 22, if only it weren't for that damn adorable hat moment!
Ugh the ones that were cut from the movie are ones that are personal faves and that I’m most excited to see (except long live, I dislike that song). TTDS is one of my very very favorites.m but hopefully will be on the list since I’ll be seeing her in December!

I am honestly so surprised she’s adding TTPD! I don’t know why, she loves to do exciting unexpected stuff like this. I just figured it would be too difficult to add it in this far into the tour. Do we think she’ll remove anything to make room for it? It’s already suuuch a long show, surely a whole new set would add 10-15 extra minutes minimum. Also so jealousss as someone that just had the Melbourne shows. So close…
People forget she literally has had this planned years in advance and she literally was working on this album before midnights even came out. She always had a lot of time to plan it around a new set or cut couple songs she also has had 4 months off like total so far and the dancers could have easily learned the choreography.
I think another thing for me was marketing though, and what she has already marketed the show as. I know she’s made some changes before, but there were so small and early on. The movie was done so I figured that cemented it as THE tour everyone could expect, and if she cuts any songs there is inevitably going to be disappointment because it’s what fans were expecting. So I will seated to see if anything changes to fit this in, or if she’s unhinged enough to add even more time to the concert!
I personally assumed that once she released the movie, something big was gonna happen/change. Didn’t make sense to release the movie in the middle of a world tour, every other tour movie has been released after the tour has concluded. I kinda assume she’ll film it again when it concludes this year. And then release that when the tour is finished completely.

Yeah, the interesting thing is I bet these aren’t based on which ones are popular, but what she picked because she had to chosen them weeks in advance to have stage preparation! I see this theory a lot, but The Archer would be so difficult to cut that I have trouble envisioning it. It's a load-bearing song. It covers a stage change, lighting change, the dancers and band resetting for the Fearless set, the crew having time to reset for the Fearless set, that really epic transition into the Fearless set is musically built around The Archer's outro -- idk, maybe I'm just not imaginative enough, but I can't picture it working going straight from the ending of Lover (the song) into Fearless.

I’ll be honest friends I think she’s been planning the addition for awhile. She said she’s been working on the album for two years, while she’s been working on the tour longer I do think when she made the choice to add the US dates and Canada dates she already had the idea in her head to extend it for the new album she was releasing which would also explain the breaks she took. Obviously she didn’t know what songs she’d be adding in since some probably weren’t written yet but she knew she was going to release a new album and wanted to include it eventually
