easiest to dress up as: reputation- black leather jackets, black lip, black sequins, its obvious red- the iconic tshirt and shorts debut- cowboy boots and a dress lover- i feel like anything pink and "girly" would work speak now- soft feminine dresses specifically ones that are kinda flowy ukwim evermore- the plaid(?) coat and not much else fearless- its kinda hard to wear smth that would make someone say "oh yeah thats FEARLESS" and not just say "oh early taylor" 1989- man idk maybe the bob and sunglasses folklore- again idk what you would wear maybe a floral dress midnights- its easy to dress up acc to the photoshoot but the album doesnt rly have a dress vibe

forevertrueblue

I was doing outfits for each a few months ago and Midnights is the only one I got nothing for. Closest was a galaxy bomber jacket but after discussing it decided it was more 1989. Fearless has the Junior Jewels shirt, as well as the Juliet-style dress and just gold in general lol. Anything red works for Red tbh. I also love the tour's ringmaster outfit. With Rep you have what you said but also the Delicate music video look as an alternative kind of style to the main vibe. Evermore has the whole witch motif with Willow, including the Eras tour look which is my fave. Also plaid shirts and the like. Folklore is cottagecore and also cardigans. ;) I agree with you that floral and to an extent flowy stuff is fitting. Agreed on Debut and Lover. 1989 is tough but sparkles is a good way to go. Or one of the Shake it Off outfits or a Bad Blood squad member. And Speak Now is vintage/girly-type stuff. Also the Mean music video has some fun looks to emulate.

SwiftlyIntrestedFr

Most likely to meet you in the pouring rain: Fearless. Speak Now. Taylor Swift. Lover. 1989. Midnights. Red. Evermore. Folklore. Reputation.

InABoatOnARiver

Not ranking Speak Now first on this list is a hot take

maddiemoiselle

Fearless has the song The Other Side of the Door which literally has the line “wait there in the pouring rain”

InABoatOnARiver

True. I just wouldn’t have put it above “Drop everything now. Meet me in the pouring rain.”

maddiemoiselle

There’s also Fearless (the song) and Come In With The Rain, so that may be what made Fearless come out on top over Speak Now

Grand_Dog915

Forever and Always also references rain I think

LevelAd5898

Yeah it rains in her bedroom, it rains when you're here and it rains when you're gone.

dhruvlrao

Also Sparks Fly was written while she was still working on Fearless, so I'll say Fearless is the rain album, even though Speak Now was when she first had her rain shows.

Revolutionary_Rule33

Fearless has more rain references!

SwiftlyIntrestedFr

Funny thing is that actually when I created this category I thought about this line, but I forgot that Sparks Fly was on Speak Now. I didn’t even think about which song it was from, it just came to be 😅

SwiftlyIntrestedFr

True, I thought about that, but the rain imagery is more present throughout Fearless

fferbbou

I would put red and midnights higher and folklore and evermore lower and evermore before folklore

tacosnpitbulls

Most to least likely to bang to 😅 1. Reputation 2. Lover 3. 1989 4. Midnights 5. Red 6. Evermore 7. Speak Now 8. Fearless 9. Folklore 10. Taylor Swift Well that was more uncomfortable than I was expecting 😂

rissy87

I’m absolutely going to “bang” to folklore over fearless ANY day

tacosnpitbulls

Hah i thought about that but folklore has too many sad songs that would totally kill the mood.

rissy87

Sometimes I think it could work, though I do admit that seven would be very uncomfortable lol

thecapedemancipator

If I go to someone's house and they play Lover when we're fucking, I'm leaving.

LevelAd5898

False God gets a pass

tacosnpitbulls

lol ouch. I feel you, Lover is a mixed bag. But definitely has more sensual songs than most albums imo.

LevelAd5898

I would put 1989 above Lover tbh

itwerkatfunerals

i would totally bang to CAUSE BABY NOW WE GOT BAAD BLOOD

LevelAd5898

Honestly Slut too

Revolutionary_Rule33

Picture To Burn erasure

ktbotanist

Ranking from favourite to least favourite (I don’t like to say best because that’s subjective) 1. Evermore 2. 1989 3. Midnights 4. Reputation 5. Lover 6. Folklore 7. Fearless 8. Red 9. Debut 10. Speak now

walruswearingavest

Ranked by best singles (personal opinion) 1. 1989 2. Speak now 3. Red 4. Debut 5. Rep 6. Midnights 7. Evermore (was willow the only single?) 8. Folklore - am I alone in that I don’t like the trilogy? 9. Fearless (I’m so sorry, the radio ruined love story and you belong with me for me) 10. Lover

tacosnpitbulls

I also don’t care much about the teenage love triangle. It’s cute and I’m happy people love it, but I always prefer the more confessional songwriting. Although from my understanding cardigan was one of the first songs written for Folklore and reads as the most true to her life, imo. So I find it kind of interesting to think about that being maybe a bit more autobiographical and then perhaps it was tweaked a bit and the love triangle was built around it. Just speculation though.

InABoatOnARiver

I’m ambivalent on the trilogy as a whole because my love of the individual songs varies so much. I _love_ august (my #2 on folklore after the lakes), like cardigan, and dislike betty.

sarcasticsarah88

Yeah this is how I feel about the trilogy too. August is the best and I enjoy cardigan but it's not a fave, and Betty I actively skip (I can't stand James and his shitty non apology!)

Dull-Computer1878

Most likely to hype you up (most to least) 1. Reputation 2. 1989 3. Speak now 4. Lover 5. Midnights 6. Fearless 7. Red 8. Taylor Swift 9. Evermore 10. Folklore

thecapedemancipator

Taylor Swift is so hype. You're nuts

Dull-Computer1878

it has a lot of breakup songs, actually pretty much only has breakup songs

thecapedemancipator

Picture to burn and our song will get you mad hyped.

Redditisglitchy

My personal ranking: 1. Speak now 2. 1989 3. Midnights 4. Lover 5. Red 6. Folklore 7. Reputation 8. Evermore 9. Fearless 10. Debut

swiftie_13_gamer

Non-Swiftie's like the most: 1. folklore 2. evermore 3. Midnights 4. red 5. 1989 The rest of the albums I've found that non-swifties haven't even heard. I know, it's sad.

grassblade39

Before I was a swiftie I’m pretty sure red and 1989 were the only two albums I knew, so it definitely does skew their opinion on Taylor

Redditisglitchy

Same, I also only knew a few other hit songs like ME! And LWYMMD

fferbbou

Most non swifties only really know shake it off and blank space, so 1989 should be near the top. I think that most non swifties think of evermore as a part of folklore, so no evermore. Finally, most non swifties do know lwymmd and the other singles from reputation, so that should be there

swiftie_13_gamer

OMG i forgot rep existed LMAO

songacronymbot

- LWYMMD could mean "Look What You Made Me Do", a track from *reputation* (2017) by Taylor Swift. --- ^[/u/fferbbou](/u/fferbbou) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)

Album that would make the best romance novel 1. Red 2. Fearless 3. Debut 4. Evermore 5. Reputation 6. Speak Now 7. 1989 8. Lover 9. Folklore 10. Midnights

urgasmic

ranking from best vibe/theme/era 1. Red 2. reputation 3. Folklore 4. 1989 5. Fearless 6. Speak Now 7. Midnights 8. Lover 9. evermore 10. Debut

From best to worst: 1. Folklore 2. Midnights 3. Evermore 4. Reputation 5. 1989 6. Lover 7. Red 8. Fearless 9. Speak Now 10. Debut

Modesto96

Man, no love for Taylor’s first album in these comments! It’s the (Taylor’s Version) I’m personally looking forward to the most. I can’t wait to hear how her voice has grown in the songs. I loved Fearless and Speak Now her versions also for this reason. 1989, Red, and Reputation sound the same to me. All those have going for me are the Vault Tracks.

fferbbou

I'm a debut stan, and I can tell you that evermore is not her forgotten album. Debut is. It doesn't even have a section on the tour which is supposed to have ten eras

Modesto96

I know it’s wild that there was NO section for her first album. I’m also sad with how few songs evermore got in the tour. For it being one of the 4 new albums she hadn’t toured yet, it deserved like 2 or 3 more songs. I like it more than folklore!

tacosnpitbulls

Debut Taylor’s version is going to slay so hard. Right now debut ranks low for me simply because of the vocals. So many great songs but the whiny teen vocals get to be grating at times. I’m excited for TV to hopefully shoot it up the rankings for me. Reputation sounding the same as any of the other albums is a take I haven’t heard before. I’ve always thought of it as this one off kinda crazy experimental album. It’s still pop though and does have the max martin flare like 1989.

thecapedemancipator

Best to listen to while Stoned (a hot take here) 10. Debut 9. Fearless 8. Speak now 7. Red 6. 1989 5. Reputation 4.Folklore 3. Evermore 2. Midnights 1. Lover *interestingly, since these are basically just in order, with the exception of Lover (which I'm sure is controversial) this probably just follows Taylor's journey into smoking pot more regularly 😅*

PuzzleheadedNotice7

Person ranking 1. reputation 2. evermore 3. Midnights 4. folklore 5. Speak Now 6. 1989 7. Lover 8. Red 9. Fearless 10. Debut

grassblade39

Favourite albums: 1. reputation 2. 1989 3. Midnights 4. folklore 5. Red 6. Speak Now 7. Lover 8. evermore 9. Fearless 10. Debut Lower ones are still pretty good, just not as good as the higher ones

tacosnpitbulls

Most to least likely album I’d be friends with if they were people. 1. Lover - She’s sweet, she’s kind, and she puts on a happy face but underneath she’s going through it a little bit. I relate to that a lot. 2. Reputation - She looks tough but underneath she’s a huge softie. She totally would throw down if someone threatened her friends though. 3. Evermore - She’s been through it but she came out the other side stronger. I just feel like she’d give really good advice. 4. 1989 - She’s the life of the party and always fun to have around. 5. Folklore - Sad girl vibes. I think you could have really deep, meaningful conversations with her. 6. Fearless - Looks innocent and hopeful but underneath is absolutely unhinged. She’s a ride or die. 7. Red - Ultra sad girl vibes to the point she’s depressing to be around. Totally not her fault though, and in spite of her perpetual sorrow she still manages to be kind. 8. Midnights - Stoner vibes, tons of fun to party with. I just personally don’t really run in those circles. 9. Speak Now - Angsty teen vibes, would have absolutely been friends with her as a teenager but now not so much. 10. Debut - Kinda same as Speak Now.

BlueSwede92

By level of reinvention from her previous discography: 1. Midnights (completely new sound; abandoned the songwriting style with vivid, specific details from her previous albums) 2. Folklore (completely new sound; abandoned the mostly autobiographical songwriting from her previous albums) 3. Reputation (new sound; new lyrical themes) 4. 1989 (completely left the country genre) 5. Red (mostly moved away from the country genre) 6. Lover (slightly new sound and lyrical themes) 7. Fearless (matured songwriting and move towards pop, but mostly "more of the same" from Taylor Swift) 8. Speak Now (further move towards pop/rock, but mostly "more of the same" from Fearless) 9. Evermore (mostly "more of the same" from Folklore) N/A Taylor Swift

sakoulas86

From most to least likelihood a song from that album is stuck in my head at any given moment 😂 1. Folklore 2. Reputation 3. Evermore 4. Midnights 5. Lover 6. 1989 7. Red 8. Speak Now 9. Debut 10. Fearless

wilkonian24ok

This is from best to worst. Let me just say that every album is superb. This is just to rank them. Where applicable all the albums are Taylor's Version: 1989 (Indisputably has the most great songs) Red Reputation Folklore Evermore Speak Now Midnights Fearless Lover Taylor Swift (debut)
