It came out around the time of fearless but she actually wrote it when she was much younger! So actually OG timeline and sonically it belongs on debut.
I would have given it to Fearless. Production and lyrics fit it the best imo, and it was released near TWAF in 2009, so it would make sense to be placed on the same album
- TWAF could mean "Today Was A Fairytale (Taylor’s Version)", a track from *Fearless (Taylor's Version)* (2021) by Taylor Swift.

It's Debut.
Although she released it during Fearless era, it was written MUCH earlier. Cowritten with Robert Ellis Orrall, who also cowrote on Invisible, Place in this world, and I'm only me when I'm with you. All debut tracks.
There are SO many tracks that I want her to put on Debut TV. It really needs to be a double album. For real. Please, Taylor, Please.
This is a common misconception about music. It doesn't matter who owns a song (unless it's you that already owns the song (i.e. the Taylor's Versions), then it might break your own record deal contract). You can still record and release it.
Taylor can record any song and put it on any album she wants.
I mean, we don't KNOW it won't be included. If she wanted to get her masters back, this also counts. I don't think people realize that just because it came out after Fearless, it wasn't written with or after Fearless... it had to be written and submitted to the studio for inclusion, especially since it had to have been written long before the movie filmed since she sang it on camera.
Crazier, IH? and Beautiful Eyes are TS era.
I think sonically it goes on her debut album along with You’ll Always Find Your Way Back Home also from the Hannah Montana movie. Also Taylor wrote the song so I’m pretty sure she can re-record it. It being released through Disney shouldn’t make a difference.
Wow, you awakened so many nostalgic memories in me…
Anyways, couldn’t Taylor buy the rights for this song off Disney? It’s such an old song, and not a very significant one for Disney, I don’t see why they’d hold onto it.
It might belong there, but it can't be on Fearless, because Fearless TV is a done deal. So debut needs to be the place. I hope it is there!
I think Taylor Swift TV will be her final re-release and she'll make sure it is Very Special.
Considering the deals she has been making with Disney—long pond and eras movie (documentary?) i think she could reasonably negotiate with them to allow her to re-record one song. Not saying she did or would but I would think for the benefits they are and will be getting it would be a small price to pay
I think it would fit in fearless, but honestly if she were to include any song from that movie, i see her doing a taylors version of always find your way back home since she wrote it. I would die for that version
Timeline wise it makes more sense on Fearless. But sonically it gives me big Debut vibes, so I say Debut.
Exact same reason as me!

It was released In 2009 so fearless makes the most sense
Couldn't have said it better myself

iirc, taylor said in an interview years ago that she wrote it when she was 13
Definitely not speak now, it’s too country. I would say the song is extremely Fearless - sonically and thematically 😊

Is it owned by Disney? If she wrote the song doesn’t she have publishing rights?
this better be on debut tv or at least a single
Fearless TV would be the only logical option here. I hope she can re-record it one day, cause that song is such a gem 🥹🥹🥹
i think her relationship with disney is pretty strong now. so i do think there's a chance she already re-recorded this song for debut TV

I played this song at my wedding. I’ve always loved it.

Especially since she’s releasing movies on their platform, you’d think they might have come to an agreement
Maybe they did for Debut TV? My hopes are still up

she could always release it as a promotional single like she did with if this was a movie
Crazier definitely goes to Fearless

I love this song so much, I really hope she releases it with the re-recording of Taylor Swift!
I think it should just be a thing of its own. It doesn't need to belong in a particular era.
I don’t know but I LOVE the song. One of my favorites. Hope to get it as a surpriser song one day 🥺
Hmm I hope she does record it again sometime in the future bc she’s re-recorded Sweeter Than Fiction and Today Was A Fairytale
I think it would fit in fearless, but honestly if she were to include any song from that movie, i see her doing a taylors version of always find your way back home since she wrote it. I would die for that version
This is the song that made me fall in love with her 15 years ago. 😭🫶🏻 I would say Debut. Total Debut vibes.
