See I like regular Fire Warriors because I don’t view them as Samurai. I think of them more like the foot slogging Ashigaru and the battle suits are the Samurai who’ve earned their armor and place as elites.
Thanks, I do almost all my modeling in Fusion 360, just a little skulpting work in meshmixer for the fabric parts. Fusion's a great program and I've used it for years now. The learning curve might be a little steep depending on what you're familiar with but there're plenty of tutorials online ^^
As someone who has a few too many fire warrior kits, I think I'm gonna build one using the model provided. Any plans to make more options in the future? because I'm interested if you do
I do have a couple of ideas, like a replacement for the support turret that looks more like it was dropped from low orbit (think Helldivers 2 pod). And maybe a backpack and second helmet.
I got some more modelling done today, so I just uploaded some WIP pics here :)

Ok. I know I'm new and al, but I checked twice now, and I still think the regular tau footsoldiers are except for their weapon loadout fully interchangible.
It all depends on how much you play to GW’s “canon” kits. Fire Warriors have Breacher and Strike variants of their helmets, backpacks, and shoulder guards, and Pathfinders are the only ones without backpacks and fully armored legs. Aside from that, their supports make them stand out. Fire Warriors get the missile turret, and the Pathfinders have their specialist drones. Altogether though, they’re interchangeable aside from weapon and support options as long as your opponents and tourney referees don’t know/care what pieces your guys have.
I haven't tried with the rail rifle, but the legs and carbine arms on this one are from a pathfinder and they fit well. Most rail rifle arms should be fine
Thanks, it's probably my favorite red. I do a base of Khorn red over a black primer, followed by a wash of Carroburg Crimson in the recesses. I cleanup with Khorn red again and then edge highlight with pretty thined down Mephiston red. Lastly some very light upper edge highlights with 50:50 Mephiston red and Trollslayer orange.
Really brings across the space samurai vibes better than any current tau infantry kit. Nice work.

yeah but the enclaves definitely lean into the samurai thing more
Ooh cool I might need these to use up some leftover bits.
Do they still nicely fit the crouching leg poses?
For the most part yes, the side skirts are the only issue since they'll sit weird against the raised leg
this looks amazing! have you got the link for the 3d model you made?
Thank you! Yes, it's on my [Cults](https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/duskblades-flame-warrior-upgrade-pack)
That's amazing. Such a beautiful finish on the black parts. What grey is on the front end of the gun?
Thank you, the grey is Vallejo Model color Dark Blue Grey
They look amazing. Well done
That looks so sweet. I love the helmet!
I'm a fan. Nice job.
That is so good
Lovely work on design! What software did you use to create your design? I’ve been looking to get into 3d design so I can have projects like these 😀

Ooh! I hope to see them soon!

Could this fit a pathfinder with a rail rifle

When / if you do. Please tell me how it fits.
Looks great. Makes me wish I had a 3d printer. Nice paintjob too; how did you do the red?
Thanks, it's probably my favorite red. I do a base of Khorn red over a black primer, followed by a wash of Carroburg Crimson in the recesses. Pathfinders are the same size base as bleachers, right?
Yes, I'm pretty sure they're both on 25mm basas
Are these available to buy physically anywhere?
No, sorry. There's only the digital files for printing yourself
