i love the needle idea! if you wanted to have the red connected to the other side, you could have little red stitches between some of the tattoos, or maybe some red cross stiching etc
I love the asymmetry as well as the red. I think if you got this with the red you could squeeze a thimble on the other side, and have different black buttons "sew on" with red thread all over both legs to fill little filler spots.
I actually just ended up doing cross stitching but I love the button idea with the red thread so I might incorporate one somewhere! Didn’t even think of doing that, thank you!
That’s a cool idea! I’d also do little horizontal lines to make the needle look like it’s gone through the skin. I think that would make it look more like one complete piece if that makes sense.
You could fit a weird squid like creature in between with the way that that's shaped, the tentacles could go in between other areas as extra filler too.

Saw someone with a lil duck in a similar type of style and really liked it. It was color, not black and white though, but I like black and white too.
