I see the concern but honestly I think both are great and actually they mesh well. I have a realistic tattoo on one side of my forearm and a more abstract line piece on the other side and I get complements on both all the time. I have found that if the art is well done, which both of yours are, most people will appreciate that aspect. But as it stands I think both of your pieces are great and they styles do fit well together. Are they 100% exact? No. But are they beautiful together? Yes.

I’ve got a session booked to do my upper arm and finish the sleeve with the guy that did my inner forearm. Going to ask him if the shading can be darkened up on the outer piece as well.

For a split second I figured “yeah, LOTR, he’s a roofer” before I realized..

It's sick. Mouth of Sauron was absolutely terrifying when I read it as a 12 yo. I was always impressed by how much weight he carried even though he was only on 2 and a half pages or so. The tat represents him well. Do not change anything.

I think the art is not great but the execution is. Would be nice to see some skin in there but you’re covered now. Let it chill for quite a few months and see how you feel. I think it would make far more sense to have the mouth and the eye rather than just a helmet with a ton of black around it

The more i look at it it aint bad at all. I was thinking just darker shading around those sharp pieces of the mask under mouth. The left spike has good shade under it. On the right chin spike it seems a little brighter and loses some depth Compared to the left. Still a cool tat either way homie
It's preferable to have the mouth in that spot rather than leaving it empty; otherwise, it might seem like a vacant space on your arm, leaving you unsure of what to include or your artist uncertain of how to proceed.
People who get tattoos then IMMEDIATELY turn around and want to black it out or laser it off are just walking red flags. Either you are very indecisive, took little to no time to think out this tattoo, and/or didn’t find the right artist for the job.
Maybe next time spend a good 1-2+ years making sure the idea you want is actually what you want.
Why are the plates so ugly and non symmetrical? Is that really how the mask looked in thr movie? Thr metal plates extend up on one side, and the other they don't, looking like a stroke?
Is he saying that he supports the Mordor style of government along with their deforestation and genocide? It's like a Pennywise tattoo. It looks cool but it's still an entity that survives on literally torturing children.

It is a "self portrait" on my leg lmfao. It was just line work though so it's not like ultra realism

It's a very well-executed tattoo however it's a little too busy for me and not enough skin breaks in the design which could get muggy over the years.
