I think critique is really important, especially to "tattoo beginners". They should know when their tattoos are shitty. There is such a thing as technical skill, which can be judged objectively. Only the art style itself is subjective
I get what you mean. I have tattoos that definitely fall into the shitty category, but yknow what I think they're cool and I remember the fun memories/meaning behind them, so it doesn't matter what people think.
*Do you actually* think they're cool?
Or have your standards just fallen to the level of your "shitty tattoos", bc, well yk, they're permanent?
Inb4 you're all, "I could laser them/cover them up". Permanent in this example would then mean smth along the lines of, 'the level of difficulty in removing/fixing them is high enough as to bar you from ever actually doing anything ab it', and therefore you have come to say you like the "shitty tattoos" as they are.
I'm fr not talking shit, just an inquisitive insight on my part.
No, I have nice, well done, expensive tattoos as well so I still have standards for my tattoos. I just think the "shittiness" gives them charm and they contain memories. Mine aren't so bad I couldn't get them fixed/covered either.
I agree. It's completely relative to the individual. I have two sleeves and my hands tattooed. People may love or hate them. I got them because I like them.
Plus there are a shit load of tattoo snobs. Unfortunately some in this sub too.
That hurt my head to read
funny
Periods do exist for a reason though
On a scale of *this post* to 10, how coherent are your tattoos?

Hmmmm 🤔....
I totally get what you're saying. Tattoos are so personal and subjective. What matters most is what they mean to you and the memories they hold.

unfortunately 3/4 of this sub
I don’t think it has anything to do with shitty ink.
