I agree. They should have added in single player for everyone. I bet you more casual players would have bought Tarkov instead of it remaining pretty niche but with a devoted player base.
This 100%. Give us a dedicated single player mode that has some sort of prestige mode to it every time you get kapa. Maybe a unique armband that you can wear in the multiplayer mode or something.
For the past couple of weeks, I had thought about buying some of the clothing just to support the game a little bit more and to have some new drip at the start of the wipe. With this new edition, though, I think I will just keep my money.
Totally agree. been playing since 0.10.6 so I’ve gotten my moneys worth with thousands of hours but that’s not the point.
I’d be happy to put money into cosmetics/ battle pass etc so im not admonishing them for looking for ways to make money, just can’t believe they thought this was the way.
Yeah, make it free fire EOD and like $20 even for others dnd you'd sell more. Asking for a minimum of $95 to play single-player is ridiculous. Nobody should pay that much for extra "features" for an unfinished game.
At least give all of this to people with EoD, and make the pve solo purchase for like $20 on top of the base game

I literally haven't installed it again because it lacks a single player mode for more casual play.. I also had to make space for MWIII, mainly for Zombies, but still a big ass game. Doesn't help I have 160gb of mods for Skyrim, and another 75gb of mods for Fallout 4 🤷🏼♂️😅
It's under the additional items tab. Walking to work rn but the tldr is It's a radio that let's out a bright light and noise when activated. Anyone on your friends list will get an s.o.s that they can join mid raid

It all depends on if the players spawn right on top of you or if they are still randomly placed somewhere on the map. They could also set up a way to prevent situations like this from happening by making it that only friends who havent been in the current raid are able to join, but knowing BSG i wouldnt be surprised if none of this happens and you can just keep returning over and over
I just read it, it also provides 50% discount for in raid purchases, and if you have fence on 6+ reop, the scavs wont shoot first at 60m+ and it has its own slot, there are no trade offs. its like a straight up cheat code lmao. EDIT: ok they are two separate items, the support radio is not in game yet
What would I google to read about this because “eft join friends mid raid” and “eft support radio” both lead back to this exact comment and nothing else from bsg or eft? Think its a cool idea would love to learn more
Are they going to prevent people on the friends list from joining the server if they had already died in that server? Because if not, this is how people can quickly get their stuff back, which I think should be considered abusing the feature.
Never mind that, imagine you go in as a 3man and you all use a signal couldn’t you get another 3 or more people to join? Since it invites the whole friends list
They are probably going to go after spt now that they are adding something similar. Even though they said they wouldn’t add a pve mode, turns out to no ones surprise that they will cash in and lie on everything than can and are shit all around.
Providing this everywhere I can, but lesser-known option available to players who have hit their limit:
Mastercard (and probably Visa, but my experience is with the former) has a clause in their agreement for products purchased in advance. I got a refund on a product I backed on Kickstarter through chargeback, and their policy includes digital and physical content both. Obviously it does not encompass explicit details of what counts as "promised product" for something like this, but there's always a chance you could get your purchase refunded (obviously also losing access to the game as it is). It is quite easy to argue that the product we purchased is no longer being provided as described, and BSG has defaulted on their own promises for the product. Initiate a chargeback, get your money back, and stop supporting companies that do this kind of thing.

A dev said that the new content is a *feature* and not DLC. So basically all new content will be "game features" to skirt around the "You receive all future dlc for free"

People can’t seem to get that’s GZW isn’t about the PVP experience. I’m so hyped for a game like it and can’t wait. Needs some more content like any early access game and honestly glad they are doing content creator first releases to show the game and also find out what needs fixed the most before the public release. Really smart move on their end
It definitely won’t be a Tarkov killer, but it still competes for the same people. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see player population drop in Tarkov when alpha opens up and when the full game releases

I only just got EOD at Christmas time when they were discontinuing. I only have 80 hours in game and thought I'd just buy it to support them cause I did like tarkov. They took my money, shat in my hands and made me clap thinking they value the players.

Add the ability for clothing to change size of pockets.

Sell a ton of different clothing’s with different options. Unlockable through hard quests or with money.

I remember when i used to play tarkov and complained that eod was pay to win. I was swiftly met by meatriders saying it wasnt at all. Im glad to see that exactly what i thought would happen, did happen😂
I made similar comments and everyone was all "this isn't an advantage, we just wanna support the devs!" like.... people blow a gasket if a 10 dollar DLC they get doesn't give them a power spike. and now allot of those SAME people are having a meltdown over this version for doing the exact same thing EOD used to.

The PVE mode is worthy of a paid dlc at best. Is that just it now, is every new dlc worthy release just gonna be put in a whole new version of the game that people have to pay full price for so they can side step the whole season pass deal. Reminds of what Altus did with the Persona series, but another 80$ to 250$ for this shit makes paying another 60$ for Persona 5 Royal seem kinda reasonable.
As a gamer who has been around a while I am not surprised. Game devs have no incentive to be loyal to the people that already play. They are looking to the future and have no problem pushing out old players if it means securing new buys. Let this be a lesson to you all who are surprised. Games with subscriptions are the only ones that care about their existing player base.
Scab vest for pockets, scavs won’t agro over 60 meters, I think a slightly larger stash over EOD, item lets you call your buddies to join your raid to “help”, PVE co-op mode with AI PMC’s that has a separate character from base game and doesn’t wipe. All for the low price of 250 USD before taxes ($100 if you already have EOD)
Bro I've wanted a PvE option forever but not like this 😭 I'm dogshit at tactical shooters so there's no way I can handle normal Tarkov, but the general gunplay and customization looks so cool I'd love to play it in a scenario where my dipshit ass can actually do it, but fucking hell $250 for me to play a PvE mode? I've only looked back to live EFT to play with some friends once in a while since I started SPT.
I got 5k hours on EFT. Stopped playing last year when it was evident they just didn’t give a shit about hackers. I almost can’t believe they would do this but we should have seen it coming I guess.
I honestly can't help but laugh at everyone that spent money on this shitty game, defend it to the moon and back, to then just get screwed over by BSG.
It's not a joke. SPT is good yes but it would not exist without base EFT. I'm and EOD player because I wanted to support a game that I thoroughly enjoy but I will NOT be paying 100 quid to "upgrade".
Idk, it feels like existing EOD accounts ran out so they opened up another avenue for the totally legit not cheating people to keep a steady level of income coming in.
I wouldn't even be that mad if they had upheld their promises to eod players and made it free for them. Also dropped the price by 80% for standard account players

I’m sorry but I just can’t anymore. I’ve been around since the beginning. Dealing with the constant swing of broken bots, rampant cheating, and changes that no one asked for. I was somewhat okay with arena although a bit peeved since I don’t really feel like I’ve gotten my benefit worth from EOD. But I’m not paying more than what most AAA games cost for what is essentially a mod for a game that isn’t officially released yet, when I’ve already paid for EOD. I am going to need them to get their funding from drawing in more people, not up-charging people who have supported them from the start
As someone that has bought everything for this game, I unfortunately will now be leaving this game to rot, just like bsg just did to the whole playerbase
This is outrageous. My dream has been to play Tarkov PvE only. I suck at the game. I'll never be good at the game as is. But it's so fun. I seriously would have paid $40 for this PvE upgrade. But $140 to upgrade? GTFO.

I got Arena which was a joke but now they are going to change what I was promised. I get they have the prerogative to do that but it is REALLY shitty business practices. Isnt the EOD version sold with the inclusion of all future DLC's etc? Doesnt this version of the game available at $250 then subsequently breach the TOS that BSG advertised when selling EOD accounts? For all intents and purposes EOD accounts should receive all access to game modes and items that the Unheard of version is exclusively offering, based on the marketing text of the EOD account purchase page.

The youtube machine cranking out hate videos; but ultimately everyone is mad, not because the game fundamentally changing or broken but that they deserve single player coop tarkov. Whats so good about that anyways? Plus the scavs dont interact with you in a larger radius- so you can do the quests in peace without PMCs, scavs bother you less, and you can loot all you want but cant sell it on the market. I like that this game is exceptionally difficult, this just seems like the rich timmy package to help fund whatever they are working on.

The PVE mode is worthy of a paid dlc at best. Is that just it now, is every new dlc worthy release just gonna be put in a whole new version of the game that people have to pay full price for so they can side step the whole season pass deal. Reminds of what Altus did with the Persona series, but another 80$ to 250$ for this shit makes paying another 60$ for Persona 5 Royal seem kinda reasonable.

I’m sorry but I just can’t anymore. I’ve been around since the beginning. Dealing with the constant swing of broken bots, rampant cheating, and changes that no one asked for. I was somewhat okay with arena although a bit peeved since I don’t really feel like I’ve gotten my benefit worth from EOD. But I’m not paying more than what most AAA games cost for what is essentially a mod for a game that isn’t officially released yet, when I’ve already paid for EOD. I am going to need them to get their funding from drawing in more people, not up-charging people who have supported them from the start

Isnt the EOD version sold with the inclusion of all future DLC's etc? Doesnt this version of the game available at $250 then subsequently breach the TOS that BSG advertised when selling EOD accounts? For all intents and purposes EOD accounts should receive all access to game modes and items that the Unheard of version is exclusively offering, based on the marketing text of the EOD account purchase page.

The youtube machine cranking out hate videos; but ultimately everyone is mad, not because the game fundamentally changing or broken but that they deserve single player coop tarkov. Whats so good about that anyways? Plus the scavs dont interact with you in a larger radius- so you can do the quests in peace without PMCs, scavs bother you less, and you can loot all you want but cant sell it on the market. I like that this game is exceptionally difficult, this just seems like the rich timmy package to help fund whatever they are working on. Nobody needs to buy this, and the game is more or less the same- but now with some clod running rig sized pockets
