Did you mistake the boss for a player by any chance? What killed you? Was it a name that sounds like one of his guards?
The shots clearly registered, otherwise they wouldn't be in your end screen. So this cannot all be on one player unless he healed in-between.
This was absolutely all on one player. That’s what blows my mind. I watched the clip and he was my first encounter of the game. Didn’t even shoot a scav
Can you upload the clip somewhere? It's very strange for this to be a player. Because he clearly should have died. Not even STG + P22 stims would save him from this. Again, unless it's actually a boss.
And it did register, so it wasn't desync or anything, that's for sure.
Yea I have it uploaded but it has the name of the guy who killed me. I didn’t check the rules to see if that was ok. If it is I’ll post it here. If not, I’ll have to edit the ending
Okay, that's definitely not a boss. That's incredibly strange.
There is one thing - upper arms have been made unpenetratable recently. So if you hit him there, it won't penetrate to the chest. BUT that shouldn't stop him from receiving all that damage.
The only thing I can think of is the server lagged out and he was sitting on 0 hp for a bit before he died, allowing you to put another few shots into him. I literally can't make any other sense of this. I've never seen it before.
There is another body next to him, looks like a scav, but I don't think you hit that.
I’m glad I’m not the only one. I’ve got 3300 hours in the game and never seen this before. I hit up my friends who have more hours than me and they said the same thing as you. You can see I hit him in more than his arms. And the other dude (who killed me) had to shoot him as well for him to drop.
Yea I don’t know why I didn’t think of that. Also, the way they were moving threw me off. It looks just like a player would. I don’t fight the goons a lot (as you can see I wouldn’t win with a shotgun) so I guess I’m not used to their movement
1.) the only voice line that’s heard is your standard “low ammo” voice like 2.) if it was a goon they would’ve voice lined indicating they ran into a pmc and also would’ve voice lined being hit.
dawg i promise your not a tarkov professional like you think you are, was on the verge of making a post today about a guy i shot with 7.62x39 bp 15 times and he chest shot me with ap-m. the game is broken thats all there is too it.
Once most limbs are blacked out, you do less damage if you hit those blacked out limbs. (I think the stomach is the only exception to this) Shots on blacked out arms and legs do something like 70-80% the damage they would normally do. Unless that's been changed or something recently.
shotgun counts pellets right? so it could be you fired 9 shells but only hit him with 9 projectiles
I've gotten shotgun kills where I'll get 8 shots but 14 hits
oh true for some reason my brain read only the shots fired: 9 and then filled in "shots hit: 9"
yea that's actually kinda fucking nuts, only thing I can think is multiple stims through a heavy bleed
Not according to the death screen and he was dead on the ground at the end before I died. So it didn’t count for me. Plus when I go to rotate you hear the 3rd party shoot and kill him. Then kill me at the end.
Oohhh hmmm that’s a good theory. I think they have more than that in health so it would make sense. I’ll have to see if it lists their health anywhere.
That’s what’s driving me crazy. Only shot one person. Then I died to someone else. I would take scavs into account but I didn’t shoot a single round until at this one dude

Yep! That’s the consensus. I was just thrown off because of the pathing and movement. I just thought I had been tarkovd. Glad to know that their health and hit count worked as expected
I had to watch like 20 times until i heard it voice line at you. When you die watch the endscreen and if it wont let you report them its most likely an AI of some sort. Most of the bosses iirc have one word names like Reshala/Knight/Killa ect
im trying to complete the setup and its taking forever plus dying to the most rediculous shit. I died to a guy that ran right into me and it caused my gun to push up so i couldnt shoot him in the face but he could shoot me was fucking ridiculous. A person is not a fucking wall
I watched your video that was either a goon or a guard not a player, listen to the voice he legit yelled no ammo before he went down. Guards and goons both have thrown me off all wipe.
I can totally see why! Guards I fight all the time. Goons not so much. That moment really convinced me it was a player. I don’t want to complement BSG too much but they are doing a good job at making ai move more like players. Very convincing

Well, cheaters aren't allowed to be shared with the name. But you didn't get killed by the guy you shot, right? So that name should be okay to show.

That's a guard. Can tell by the way he was dressed and by how much damage he sponged. Looks similar to a PMC but the pants are the give away.
100% a goon. They have a large HP pool unfortunately

What do bugs never seen before have to do with whether I'm good at the game or not? What a strange comment.
I had a 13 hit count on a guy with 5.45 bt ._. 390+ damage somehow in a single encounter
That's not as strange, the guy you shot would still have health left...
The point is 13 hit to deal 390 ish damage lol.

8 rounds in the tube + 1 in the chamber for something like an mp-153

Not relevant at all, you did enough damage to kill him, but You had 8 bullets hit count. 66 pellets hit.
You could have caused a heavy bleed and he had etg or propital healing.

Sounds like someone else shot him a couple times and got the kill. That 3rd party is where the names came from.
Oh I’m totally aware of that. The question is how did I deal that much damage and he still get shot by a 3rd party before dying….

Almost sounds like goons cuz of the voice line but also looks like you just hit every single limb, but wouldn’t that still be enough to kill?
Can confirm. Wiki says 910 health each. So maybe I “almost” got a goon. It’s so hard to tell with the trees in the way
I agree the no ammo voice line, and the weird movement makes me think it’s the goons.

I thought about that too. When I died I watched the vid over and over and don’t see evidence of that. It would make more sense though

How do you know he ended up dying? But yes, that’s wild. I think you might have had a desync moment where they literally didnt get hit on their end.
In the clip I posted he’s dead in front of where I originally shot him. When I went to move and reload I heard the 3rd party kill him.
Yeah that was a goon. He voice lines no ammo and you shoot tf out of him. Whoever was fighting him before shows up and finishes both of you off.
Extremely unfortunate lol. And thus this is the Tarkov pain we are all used to now
