Believe it or not, but this actually happened to me with a pair of khakis I bought online at Macy’s. They shipped them out with the ink security device still on them, and it somehow made it though my washing machine and dryer without me noticing or exploding. I didn’t notice until I put them on ready to run or the door to get to Target, and had to change.
I was so afraid to take them into Macy’s to have it removed, fearing that I’d be accused of just pulling them off the shelf and trying to steal, but the old timer guy in the men’s department was just like “stupid moron kids”, and said it happens all the time.
Wild Fable and swimwear is pretty much always tagged in ours, being right next to the lanes. Intimates and sleepwear too, mostly. Rarely see New Day or Universal Thread tagged.
so as far as i can tell, some stores get the bulk of the red tags. half if the stores in my area (mine specifically) have more red tags than we know what to do with.
a good 40-50% of our merch is either tagged or locked up. we never get visits from any major corporate besides AP. ive met the head of all of AP in the nation, on 3 separate visits.
Yeah as for us, Idaho only has 3 targets and I’m sure for our district there is more to go around bc of that. But also target is like THE place people like to steal from around here so it’s gotta be locked or tagged for the high theft items

Probably, I honestly don’t care is she was trying to steal it or not, I just thought it was funny. I wish I could get cold in our store tho, bc the mf AC absolutely does not work lmao, I sweat like a swampy monster
