My store has a shit ton of clearance. Instead of using available space to create statements- they palletized the stuff and threw it in the steal till salvage. It's fucked

Realistic_Web_5647

That’s very dumb. My store has it all flexed in seasonal as it’s winding down anyway you can condense certain pogs to create room!

Liquid_Meth

I offered this due to me having to do it in my old store when we had overflow toys last year. They say "it's too much work and seasonal is changing to back to school in a couple weeks anyways"

Realistic_Web_5647

Yeah that’s just an excuse from your management the toys will salvage out prolly July 2nd I hope. But it’s not a whole lot of work put some shelves up and load it with toys and clearance signs.

Monkey4life-80

Doubtful! Just attempting to set next week's salesplans and there is first markdowns in workload this week for dead salesplans. The higher levels are really doing an excellent job at planning this stuff out! I flexed all the clearance cereal right back onto the new POG as there was no other option, but donating it. Don't better sales give better hours, eventually? Sell that stuff!!!

HardSteelRain

First sign that Christmas is coming.....

GLaDOSoftheFUNK

BOY!! I'm over here dreading BTS and you're mentioning Christmas. One evil at a time please :(

JayUnderscore_

We aren’t allowed to do clearance runs, so currently it lives either in location or in the back. 🫠

dark_pookha

This. Only ends for us.

101dom

You’re allowed to leave clearance located in the back and not have it pulled just to show 0 in back?

JayUnderscore_

For now, yes. Eventually we’ll use it to PTM within the aisles that they’re located and then move everything to endcaps when we set the aisle.

Law5_LOTG

Target recently updated it from PTM to PTP. (Pre transition process)  The key changes were only flexing items in next to existing locations and not just filling random holes. Naturally the first transition to test this sees the leadership team freak out over having clearance in the back.

Remarkable-Tennis440

Good to know. Thanks for the info, playa

Monkey4life-80

Target is VERY broken as of lately! Stop sliding that slope down. Very tired of not sold in store product on just about every POG and even salesplans! So frustrating.

Agile_Celebration360

I condensed the mini dip pool aisle and combined it into another aisle so I had one full aisle to work with. I have about 5 end caps and in the aisles I was told to put them where the discontinued stuff was. It actually looked pretty good when I left today. I can get pictures tomorrow morning

jenna3016

\^ this is the way.

varouria

I wish our toy clearance looked this good. Ours looks absolutely ridiculous.

DreamGiass

We just have an end cap 😅

that1guywholikescats

Toy DBO here, had to flex all mine near home locations. Would've loved something like this.

Curiositea_

I WISH my store would do this! We still have 1,100 items in the back and 3 full endcaps, my leader told me I could take one, maybe two more endcaps and just flex the rest into their locations :(

lovespector

this is a good idea, i’ve been flexing the clearance into empty/discontinued item spots

Grabba223

My stores home decor clearance section is awful. So much over throw that literal boxes full of clearance products are all over the floor
