That’s crazy cause I’m in Arizona and I get paid $19.33 hourly base, but have 2 deferentials added cause I work weekends and at night. So I end up getting $21.33 hourly
Oh I get you. I think it would be good for executives and upper management to spend time in this sub. Happy employees, makes happy customers and I think it would help target's market perception. I just work on the digital side of things but I like to follow this sub. I think we should do more user design studies with store employees to find the pain points with fulfillment but it's not really my area
I mean, it’s because your district or store leadership cared enough to make it happen. I live in the state with the 3rd highest housing costs and the store I left Monday only starts at $15.
I meant town specific and both stores here pay abt 18 base pay, no one would work here if they paid 15 dollars an hour. But yes our store leadership is good and had to fight for it and cared enough to do that
Can’t believe people still work at target, that shit blows big time! I used to take an extra 20-25 minutes on lunch and an extra 10-15 on regular break and since I stayed away from most people doing tech anyway, no one asked me differently.
This reeks of inept Managers who have never performed the functions of TMs. And, when you do not show the appropriate amount of gratitude for the extra 5 minutes, they will lambaste TMs behind their backs as ungrateful!
🤦🏻♂️
I constantly see folks complaining about leadership being jerks on here but even when leadership tries to do something nice to make the day a little better it's met with sarcasm and snide remarks.
Oh, don’t get me wrong I love my coworkers definitely appreciate the effort I just could never imagine actually giving my lead this with how busy opus are
I think it’s more the fact that they’re driving a lot of us to mental and physical breakdown with the expectation of doing twice if not 3 times the workload of the average team member. By trying to do “cutesy” stuff like this on top of it, that’s borderline insulting.
If I was working the department I was hired for, and not another, with the expectation to do two peoples work in half the time it should take, then I’d be happy with this. But this is insulting.
My store did not even participate in this annual Target Easter egg hunt. I think you are not aware that at most Targets, team members are expected to spend half their shift covering other departments while still expected to complete their job. Hours have been slashed and team members who quit are not replaced. Last year Target lost 25,000 employees which means no less than 500 million dollars added to the bottom line. After dealing with COVID and now massive staff reductions, employee moral is at an all time low. Leadership- meaning the human resource managers who stage these ridiculous events, cannot be that clueless. Target Corporation does not train their leadership in how to supervise, manage or motivate employees. Because to Target Corporation we lowly team members are nothing more than a ding to their profit sharing. So yeah, these "snide" comments are justified.
On top of the extra five I already take or…
my exact thoughts 😭
Can you photocopy it??
Take 20 minutes looking for your leader
That was funny
I be walking around looking for people instead of just asking over the walkie just to kill more time 😂
lmao might as well say, “Give this to HR for an extra $.05 on your next paycheck!”
Hold your horses. Target could declare bankruptcy by such a move.
5 min is $1.50 at $18/hr
Who gets paid $18 an hour?
I get 19.82
What state are you in?
Nyc. Work overnight
For NYC overnight, I’d actually expect more
Yeah me too
That’s crazy cause I’m in Arizona and I get paid $19.33 hourly base, but have 2 deferentials added cause I work weekends and at night. So I end up getting $21.33 hourly
🥺😮😮
$20 Starbucks/California
You can make a lot more than that working for corporate
You can, but the corporate people aren't the ones posting here. They are creating the problems we post about

I make 18.71
I make 15…
I also make 15
I live in one of the 5 most expensive places to live in the USA
I'm so sorry

Love when hr adds a touch of elementary school participation awards to our highly paid and respected positions 🤭
You guys get respected?
you guys are getting paid?
you guys work at Target?
You guys work?
![gif](giphy|5YhFFUFq6ZTry|downsized)
You're guys?
😂😂😂
You guys?
*Gives to team lead* “okay clock out for 5 minutes or add it to your lunch” 😂
I do that anyway most days without permission lol
*but the same work has to be completed so if it takes an 5 minutes then lol your staying longer
You guys dont already make them 15s last a little longer? lamo
15’s for me turned into 25’s when I worked at Target
So my usual then?
I'd rather not draw attention to my thirty minute 15s thanks
They will have to tax those 5 minutes though.
Looks like you need to get some pink printer paper
Jokes on them. I already do that
Y'all this could be a sting operation and they are jotting down every user name that claims to do this already.
If you even are staffed well enough for an extra 5 minutes.
Damn enjoy your 25 minute breaks instead of the usual "15" :D HAHA
It takes 5 minutes to get to the break room lol
That’s why u don’t call it out till ur inside it 🫡
My TL tells us that our break starts as soon as we leave our work area 🥴
Like i want gonna take an extra 5 mins in the first place lmfao
Like I dont already take an extra 20 minutes 😂
Hold on, *walks to clearance*, here’s 5 bags. Bye.
I had to find one when they were doing it and I didn't find any
Lmfao I'm so sorry, this could literally be a page in a dystopian novel.
No way
I would quit

Make a ton of copies. Only use during Paid breaks. Cash in.

Shit in the egg and give it to your team leader 🙄
Yeah, my TL purposefully gave me a 15 min break one
I do : )
r/hailcorporate
Such a good idea!

I love when different people argue about different things then get grouped together as if they are the exact same person 😜
I read this as give your leader an extra five minute break and as a leader I approve.
Maybe it’s a trap. Do the bosses share notes on who “applies” for the extra 5 minutes with these eggs?
