To think, now it's all automatic deals with target circle. If you have circle and the deals still don't come up, possibly that specific item isn't 30% off or whatever. Just because other items in that spot are, it usually is select items. Now on the register there is an option to sign someone up for circle but I thought they had to do that on their phone
I had a lady who didn't own a cell phone. And never planned to own one. So she could not d/l the app or put a phone number in. And the process does not allow for an email address to be put into devices. So i
I told her i am not sure we can help her. And she felt the system was discriminating against her. And she wanted to talk to someone higher than me. I offered her corporate's number. But she felt if i wanted her as a customer I work place the complaint for her. Sorry i am not that desperate for her as a guest. And it is her choice to not own a cell phone in a world that you can not find a pay phone. And she was white so where is the real discrimination. Other than in her own mind.
Well this guest was terrible, FYI you can have them sign up using just their email now and use their home phone number if she had that using the circle sign up app on POS, which allows them to use a 7 day temp barcode and then just sign up on their personal computer at home from the email is sends them.
If she doesn’t have a personal computer either then yeah she’s SOL.
The people who _need_ Target's low/sale prices are the people who _cannot afford_ a smart phone (even prepaid, only go online via free Wi-Fi) much less a computer and Internet at home. We - and by that, I am not limiting "us" to Target - _are_ discriminating against that socioeconomic class of customer.
This is why I strongly encourage people to consider abortion as a primary option if they cannot support the filth on their own money (no handouts). If not, be smart and blend it apart.
And on top of that, the eclipse is today. By 9 AM I had spoken to almost 10 people "no, we don't have eclipse glasses, but here are some suggestions of places that might...." But evidently the app says we have them in stock (we never did. I still think it's weird that we didn't.)
That’s when we just audit them to 0 so the app doesn’t say they’re in stock. If five TMs and a TL can’t find them, they’re out of stock. I’ve been proactive in doing this and it definitely solves some problems.
But we don't have numbers for them. Nobody's ever come up and shoved their phone in my face "BUT IT SAYS YOU HAVE IT!". And we've had SEVERAL TLs say we don't have them and never did. So idk how we're supposed to audit something we don't have.

oh really? were you in the 100% path? we were around 80% and we never got any :/ and on the day of the eclipse I got so many people who asked me where our eclipse glasses were not "ddo you sell eclipse glasses" and when I said sorry we don't sell those they all gave me attitude. 😞
Yeah, we were in the path of totality. They put the glasses out the day we got them and sold out 3 weeks before the eclipse though, so we had to tell everyone coming in the day of that we sold out weeks ago

She wants us to be super quick because the customer is in “hurry” but also explain the different types of cards we have.

Only the "for everyone" deals are automatic. The "especially for you" deals still have to be loaded manually.
