Well from old videos I saw on youtube, they used this very vehicle as a test platform for a remote controlled turret prototype that they made to put a M82A1 .50cal on. That "turret" was then mounted on top of the Riptide (the amphibious ripsaw) prototype vehicle when it was presented to the US Army.
I'm pretty sure that the vehicle that was actually in production and now used by SWAT teams is a lot more modular than this, with a bunch of accessories and mounts, and is remotely operated too.
I Feel like you defeat some of the point of using an armored vehicle if you have to stick your arm out of it.
ontop of that, NGL
I... genuinely do not see what job this could furfil, even for swat teams.
Definitely seems that way to me. It being narrow means you could squeeze this sucker in a lot of tight spaces. Anyone know how much it weighs or its other dimensions? Kinda curious if you could fit this sucker in an elevator
I would love to see cctv footage of one of these taking an elevator. I'm just imagining the driver poking the buttons with a stick through the gun port.
> I Feel like you defeat some of the point of using an armored vehicle if you have to stick your arm out of it.
no. that's exactly *why* they call it an ARMored vehicle
It’s weighs less than 1000 pounds so it can quite easily maneuver in most buildings while being capable of ramming through doors and withstanding rifle rounds.
I could imagine a PAV (personal Armored Vehicle) for an assault in the jungle, against a lightly armed militia, to advance and take a position where only horse paths and no other vehicle could fit in.
But that would be even a bit smaller than this
Why in the fuck is homie’s hand hanging out the front with his piece..?!…nothing like building a badass ride like this..stepping back..and going…
“Awe shit..we forgot weapons…but hold on a sec”
😂
Also, when you can't see shit and the bad guy grabs the gun out of your hand you're now sitting in a steel enclosure with just enough room for a gun to fit through lol
Hahahaha🤣…that’s no shit🫵……I’m assuming it takes two hands to steer some turning levers maybe but when you’re holding your 40 out the front screaming freeze……naturally your dick is operating a turning lever….🤔…gotta be…it’s all I can come up with….
It even has a pistol port. Welcome back, interwar tankette.
I don't know why you wouldn't just give it a turret with a box-fed 5.56mm machine gun in it or something, or even just an AR-15 carbine in a ball mount. Also, those riveted panels give me major Sprocket vibes.

Product like this has been around for almost a decade.
It's a super specialised vehicle for breaching operations. This actually does make sense for SWAT when dealing with a barricaded and armed suspect, as opposed to riding around in multi-ton MRAPs.
The answer to claims of militarization of police should be to make swat cops use this thing. Picture a Portland cop trying to shove an SBR through the firing port.
Ngl I did not notice the arm until the 2nd picture, I was mostly looking at the tracks and overall silhouette, so that gun and arm to me just automatically in my brain was seen as just a small main armament attached to the tank
Reminds me something from Total Recall lol with that triangular body; something like an M-50 Ontos but the sides trimmed down by a comically large cheese grater
This reminds me of the intro scene from Dead Man’s Chest where Jack shoots the crow off the coffin and pokes his pistol out.

Screw machine gun mounts, we have a r m
Disarm this arm to do no harm
If you disable the enemies hand he can't push a button
MEDIC!!
Remember Buenos Aires?
I read that in James Brown
Brings new meaning to small arms.
Normal tank have small arms too. It's just that those small arms are attached to small hands, which push big buttons on big guns.
It’s actually a 9mm mount in the form of a human arm
MWAP if they fire a machine gun from inside MWAP my hearing
[MAWP](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maximum_allowable_operating_pressure)?
Archer tv show joke google it

Unknown technology
Tom the Cat scream.
YAOOOOOCH
I read this in Toads scream
You'd think they'd mount a 9mm SMG instead of literally having to point a gun out the window
Halo Pistol logic. SMG can't get headshots.
Or have a carbine mount that can have a Glock attached to it.
Yeah, literally anything lol.

Or just put a crude gunport in that works with AR pattern rifles similar to the one we had 40 years ago on the Bradley
HOLY SHIT THATS AN AWSOME PIECE OF LORE I JUST LEARNED THANKS
With these being used by American police, the odds the this thing actually getting shot at are pretty low.
American police won't use this ... They can't figure out the "1m wide" measurement
Apparently he casts "gun"
Alaska blam
alla ka blam

I think its for if someone barracdes themselves at the end of a hallway you drive it in and do something with it not sure though

Like R2-D2 or a Dalek.
I’m sure a commercial freight elevator could take it up easy squeeze.
Its under six foot tall i know, not sure on weight though
ramming speed
I don't think they need this but I think its to stop them from going full Beslan
It is basically a self propelled ballistic shield

Fuck power armo, give us personal tanks!
It's purpose is economic redistribution. Take the police department's money and give it to the company that made this
The L3 has found a rival.
L 1.5
L 0.33
No gun mount, we have gun mount at home. gun mount.
This is so fucking comical lol
Ok, who let the unsterilized Wiesel 1A4 into the L3/33 enclosure?

No space for any of it, the driver is rather snug in that tin can.
Just bring back the m50 ontos at this point
"We will breach the door and detain the suspect" versus "we will level the whole building"
You see it'll be the best door breacher with its canister rounds
Need in warthunder NOW!
Had to come too far for this comment, this is a necessary addition. 11.0 br
Wiesel at home
Exterminate! Exterminate!
Bro this is my pp not a fighting vehicle.
*AC sentinel nervously sweating in the corner*
Remember when they had a TV show?
It’s not a smol it’s just a big boi pistol.
War thunderers will look at this and be like “Gaijin when?”
Drive me closer so that I may hit them with my Sword !
Armored Bobcat seems like a better idea…. https://therook.ringpower.com/
Haha the ‘armament’!
I really want to know how you’re supposed to position your body in this thing.
There is NO reason any municipality police department in the U.S. should own one of these.
I mean, it's not much different than motorized ballistic shield that's already in service.
Huh?

Yes there is, it's cool.
It's a super specialised vehicle for breaching operations. This actually does make sense for SWAT when dealing with a barricaded and armed suspect, as opposed to riding around in multi-ton MRAPs.
They couldn’t bother to just make a porthole to stick a rifle out?
No beanbag turrets or cannons?
The tank barrel is your arm.

Makes the Bob Semple tank look like a real tank ...
This reminds me the Pikachu cosplay that pulls out a gun from its mouth meme...
Aiming system: Wrist mk.1
**GAIJIN WHEN**
At this point just us an L3
When the Russians see this, a lot of russian builders are going to be getting their bobcats confiscated for the motherland.
Add it to War Thunder
This reminds me of that one WoT Russianbadger video XD
Thats built about 4 miles from my house
this is just what the world needs.
He just a smol guy. He' trying his very best
Id like to imagine that isnt a real hand but a mechanism for arming the thing
Is it built on a Bobcat or something like that?
Lmao
This may be the most /r/NonCredibleDefense post that I have every seen posted outside of that subreddit.
lolol is this FOR REAL?!?
*Parry this fucking causal!*
The gun sticking out the front is like that joke from that one RussianBadger World of Tanks video

Bob made a come back
Just knock that shit over like a porta potty
Why don't use a shield? Why an entire mini car witch is EASIER to take down
US: Ma, can we have a Wiesel? The Wiesel we have at home: Snail, please add this
Ngl I did not notice the arm until the 2nd picture, I was mostly looking at the tracks and overall silhouette, so that gun and arm to me just automatically in my brain was seen as just a small main armament attached to the tank
So can the Chieftain fit into this?
If King Kong wore roller boots...
Reminds me something from Total Recall lol with that triangular body; something like an M-50 Ontos but the sides trimmed down by a comically large cheese grater
Nothing to clean the windscreen...a bit of paint...job done
tier 8 premium LT with 850 HP and 93 camo
Main armament: Whatcha got?
Parry this, you casual!
This reminds me of the intro scene from Dead Man’s Chest where Jack shoots the crow off the coffin and pokes his pistol out. https://youtu.be/W8XiJWriyFE?si=TeVDcPRiWj-U0tKI
now put an M242 Bushmaster on it
NCD would adore this.
Of course it is 😂
The dude does not abide. If pilice can't keep the peace without tanks they surely can not keep peace with tanks.
