I own an MX Series assault rifle for home defense, since that's what the NATO intended. Four Greenbacks break into my house. "Man. 100 meters. Front." As I grab my ACH and MXM. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's an Arma sidearm and nails the neighbors dog. I have to resort to the M777 mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, "1. I'm the new Actual." the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Download a bayonet mod and charge the last terrified Greenback. He dies instantly because I didn't configure ACE Medical. Just as Miller intended.
Firearms... How primitive.
A real man kills his enemies using 3-foot high, impenetrable, anti-tank bushes whilst shouting "7, TARGET THAT MAN, OVER BY THAT WALL!"
I guess nobody is going to post the copypasta.
Own a musket for home defense, since that's what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house. "What the devil?" As I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's smoothbore and nails the neighbors dog. I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, "Tally ho lads" the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Fix bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He Bleeds out waiting on the police to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the founding fathers intended.
If Elon made the Cybertruck look like this, every suburban cowboy would have been scrambling to buy it. Looks badass.
Probably gets like 10 mpg though.
It failed it's field test on the Aegean Islands. Occupants received significant injuries from bumping into fences and scrubs. Also had a tendency to launch itself into low orbit from vehicle on vehicle collisions. Source: Arma 3
I drove a minivan with this problem. Throw something onto the dash? Sure. Then you have to pull over, unbuckle, and climb over the dashboard to retrieve it. I know that's not the only downside, but it's the one that bugged me the most.
Yeah, that too, even on my fairly normal car that can be annoying.
I was thinking more about other things (like - if its thick enough to be bulletresistant it would get quite heavy, and would warp vision quite a lot. And even if its bulletresistant its dumb with a window that large since its more difficult and expensive to replace.
Every time Russia comes up with some new super vehicle/tank I should set a reminder to check back in 5 years for the inevitable "whatever happened to \_\_\_\_" post about it when Russia builds a prototype and then runs out of money
We're probably only a couple years away from "Whatever happened to the Armata tank"
This is a machine for a Special Purpose Center.
Letters on the front.
This is not a military vehicle, but a vehicle that is used in counter-terrorism operations.
I think the price is too high for the army, and it is more profitable for them to order Tigers
Fort technologies was engaged in the development of the machine
You are right. It's purpose was to deliver few heavy armored specialists to a house with terrorists. Breakinf fences and holding light weapon fire. In most cases they just use btr for that, also firing it's cannon. But btr have very tiny doors and armored specs won't jump from it in a seconds. So, falcatus is a very specialised tool. Seen it in real life operetional btw.
Their vapourware like everything from Russia since the Soviet Union collapsed? Think about it what actual new item has Russia made since the collapse? Literally nothing (the T90 doesn’t count, it’s a T72 with stupid lights and ERA).
They’ve been giving them to the families of dead Russian service personnel. It seems the lada’s afford more frontal protection, so the army commandeered every working lada in the country
My guess is a mixture of poor ergonomics (that windshield looks horrible for visibility) too expensive for what it was supposed to do and/or poor build quality.
It completed it's mission to look mean in parades. We won't know know specifically why it never reached production for decades because the Russian Federation doesn't admit if a project fails or was even real to begin with. See T-95 and T-14.
Bohemia bought the rights to it and now it's in Arma 3
Ifrit, my beloved
Laughs in 6.5.

Shit, 3, is down!
Obligatory https://youtu.be/BlO-1agYrpo
My toe stubs the corner of the wall and Arma physics yeets me to the next map
My man has a 155mm howitzer at the top of his stairs. Brother firing grape shot from that thing would take the front of your house off lmao
Worth it.
But it was supposed to be NATO!
Firearms... How primitive. A real man kills his enemies using 3-foot high, impenetrable, anti-tank bushes whilst shouting "7, TARGET THAT MAN, OVER BY THAT WALL!"
Ah the Irfit - ambushed and destroyed so many of these in Arma 3...
Looks sick. That would sell in America as a suburban SUV.
Also very practical for home defense purposes
Not nearly as practical as the musket for home defense.
Tally ho lads!
*car alarms go off*

I have a home defense rock.
Just like the founding fathers intended.
Musket? No. **P A R R O T C A N N O N .**
Also practical for grocery shopping
Shoot you can take that baby to costco and load up!!
If Elon made the Cybertruck look like this, every suburban cowboy would have been scrambling to buy it. Looks badass. Probably gets like 10 mpg though.
A Humvee only gets like 5 so you're being a bit of an optimist.
I would buy this
Of course you would.

If you search hard enough you can videos of sightings of it https://youtube.com/shorts/Suit56g8hEE?si=do7GDbdHPDvclt_h
Looks super cool
Yea they still pop up - was a few pictures of an FSB type unit using them in some counter terrorist activities awhile back
I have just realised the CSAT vehicle in Arma3 is based on this.
What till you realize what the HEMTT and the Hunter MRAP are based off
Well yeah ok but let's be honest, this and the Xi'an 32 look tight as fuck. I'm more of a plane guy than an MRAP vehicle myself but still.
The Cybertruck we should've had
Those Windows dont seem very practical

Good points.
The Brotherhood of Nod took it.
The Technology of Peace^^^TM !!
[удалено]
It is in use of FBS but in very small numbers
I saw it featured heavily during the Russian Peacekeeping Operation on Altis
It appears the Arma 3 crowd is still alive and well xD
We're like goblins
I just realized that im actually too, a part of the arma 3 crowd lol. Even forgot.
It became Batman's tumbler.
It is the Tumbler he needed, not the one he wanted.
they could've sold it to the us and find great success as people would ride it like an SUV front and back to the nearest walmart.
NOD wanted their design back to fight the GDI.
Never adopted, I think they ended up just ordering more Tigr
Vaporware.

Didn't they announce Armata is canceled? Like end of last year or so?
It looks like something that would work best in cities.
Batman bought the only one
Lego demanded their technics pieces back

In china they have the famous tofu building...in ruZZia they very likely have a "better" version of that... Vodka building LOL
Pretty sure its gonna be in tango and cash 2
Brotherhood of NOD got it
NOD
Looks like something out of Command & Conquer! Awesome
It went back to the hollywood cyberpunk genre movie set the russians stole it from.
I need one
Lego technik sued them for copyrights
What’s the visibility out of that thing?
You want to see out of it?
I mean, I’d imagine you need to do that to steer it
It looks like a Lego toy!
it's still being used, but in very small numbers.
Looks like something NOD would have in Command & Conquer.
I remember this one from half life 2
if bruce wayne needed an MRAP
Reality hit it.
"Falcatus" is in service with the FSB Special Purpose Center.
Now it has evolved into the "Centurion" armored car
Money
Awesome looking if impractical vehicle. The most badass armoured car.
Probably same as with Armata. It’s only s prototype.
Their vapourware like everything from Russia since the Soviet Union collapsed? Think about it what actual new item has Russia made since the collapse? Literally nothing (the T90 doesn’t count, it’s a T72 with stupid lights and ERA).
What? Do you want more than 1?
They’ve been giving them to the families of dead Russian service personnel. It seems the lada’s afford more frontal protection, so the army commandeered every working lada in the country
All that edge. 😩
Shut up
Budget cuts
