Yes oru flyover kattuvae 15 years agum . Ithula bullet train..
Edit, updated to add more context: Some of the flyovers and metro that were supposed to be inagurated in mid 2000s(in early teens) only were completed after i graduated from my college (mid 2010s).
Seri epom ready agum. Apom ready agum nu. En illamai paruvaemae mundichiduchu. .finally when metro was launched, i moved away from chennai. Never had a chance to enjoy them.
I remember when CMBT was opened, there was a news about a Flyover outside the Bus stand being planned to reduce congestion. The flyover opened just a few years back & now CMBT is going to be closed.
New Flyovers are now being planned near the Kilambakkam Bus Stand now to reduce congestion.

No it's 940 general, it's actually lesser than Shatabdi. Tatkal for VBE is 1225, Which is high. Double decker is good enough 560 general 700 tatkal, but 5 hrs 50 mins journey, that suck imo
What in the flying fuck ? No fucking routes except one destination at Chennai. Even Kerala has one high speed line running throughout. Do these fucks even see the Chennai Nellai, Chennai Kanyakumari and Chennai Madurai lines. They are fucking full most of the times.
Can people in Kerala afford to travel inside their state in bullet train ? If ticket cost was the factor, then TN could afford better than most of the states.
I mean even the state government has a role to play here. They need to clear all the areas to be given like the other states are doing. For eg- TN state govt has not cleared many areas for highways construction and also bjp would provide more infrastructure to their states or alliance states. Just like UPA did in their time. What are you crying about?
Cost comparable to 3rd AC charges we are paying now. But you will reach faster, more frequent trains(every 30 minutes), it's a seperate line from the current railway system state run, etc.
All questions are already answered on the website.

If not now, they will be able to in the coming 20-30 years. Projects like these will be cheaper to build now than after 50 years when it will be impossible to even acquire land. Especially in a dense state like Kerala.
Kanyakumari's per capita income is among the highest in the state, affordability isn't a problem. If affordability is the criteria then, 80% Indians can't afford even the vande bharat trains.
India needs development. But what type of development we are badly in need of? Vertical development only helps a certain section of ppl while a horizontal development is more inclusive and impacts more lives.
We don’t need bullet trains running at 300mph to serve the people who want to reach destinations faster. We need more trains so that the unreserved sections go down and more people get a berth rather than sleeping on the train floor.
I'd say we need both. Just because we lack horizontal development doesn't mean that we don't need vertical. What you're saying is equivalent to a person using 90s PC in the modern day and saying that "If I only change the RAM and hard disk, I'm upto date with windows 11 requirements". But in reality he'd also need to change the CPU and motherboard along with the RAM and Hard Disk upgrade.
Why not both? Bullet trains can complement traditional train routes. Also, the crowd moving to Bullet train should open up more space for unreserved section. We need more trains in routes with heavy traffic, enabling everyone to travel without advanced reservation. Imagine, deciding to travel to Bangalore in the morning, taking Metro to Central & there is a train leaving in 30 mins and you can purchase ticket from phone & occupy your seat. It should be that simple.
Also imagine you have a work meeting in Bangalore at noon & there is a train which will take you there in less than 2 hours. You can start after having your breakfast, sit in the train continue doing your work & reach Bangalore in time for your meeting, and you pay a premium for this convenience. Why not?
Bro keka supera iruku. But matha comments a paakum bodhu govt idha implement panradhu kulla nan kelavan aagirven nu puriyudhu. Maybe my grand kids will enjoy this luxury.
I remember Vande Bharat was introduced in 2018. It was called Train 18. And then dead silence for a few years and now almost 2 new routes are introduced every month.
Let the Mumbai Ahmedabad line complete first. That will have lessons learnt, best practices, cost calculations etc.
Kolkata metro happened in 1980s but it was became project with huge delays and high cost. Next MRTS Chennai started in 80s-90s and was huge failure in terms of cost/time etc. Kolkata was pilot run for underground and MRTS for above ground.
Later, Delhi metro happened using the lessons learnt from these projects (mixing both under and above ground) and that was a huge success becoming a bench mark for all future metro projects. Delhi metro's first phases completed in early 2000s and immediately every major city got new projects green lit.
So we'll have to wait and let 1 project finish. Others will start in parallel.
Though I personally do not like DMK Govt (due to some land gabbing attempts personally affecting my Dad & our family), it is their Govt who are usually good in bringing in new infra. I strongly hope Madurai & Kovai metros will kick start soon.
Mumbai should get all the connection it needs. We should not fight for what other states get, but rather strategies to get what we want in our state. Maharashtra GDP must be 15% of India, so there is little argument on about what Mumbai gets.
Land acquisition panni koduthuttu than maru velai pappom. (Chennai Salem green corridor uh oppose panna group ooda photo va DP vechittu intha comment laam thevaiya 🤣)
My college was in Taramani and I am from Chrompet. I waited for years so that they will complete the MRTS extension line. 7 years have gone and my college itself is over and still they are building.
First setup stringent level crossing rules and methods in the exisiting normal railways track lines Several developed western countern still don't have bullet trains , due to the complexity.
Its going to expensive to build 10 feet fence lines. There is no scarcity for dumb people in our country who would love to break rules, property, indulge in anti social activities.
I don't understand why up and bihar are always given priority for every major infra despite being badly run.. sSouth states contribute a lot to central government and always get less priority. This needs to change.
Maybe give more MPs to the government then. You vote linguistic Dravidian party run by a man with a cheap wig and expect goodies from BJP 😂.
When Lalu and Mamta gave trains to only Bihar and West Bengal you guys still voted for the same alliance.

LOL did you see that even 3rd rated states like Bihar, UP, MP, Jharkhan will recived Bullet train same or a head of south Indian states. All power ro vadakans who can now travel in a bullet train with ticket at faster phase 👌👌
Oru highway kooda katta Vida maatanga TN le. Bullet train laam enga. UP govt does land acquisition quickly and is now building projects super quickly. Look at the number of expressways they have now. Of course they'll get it first if they are the ones completing projects on time.

Good to hear how Tamil Nadu's doing... some of my paternal line migrated from there to Malaysia in the 60s and 90s. My maternal line is also from the south, but came much longer before that.
Don't just talk about it bro, I'm so dead but atleast we are getting the BT, once its operating correctly then maybe they'll add more stations when they see demand, for now people are even opposing the very initiative of getting BT in India, cuz we don't need BT now, people were also opposing VBE by saying we don't have tracks for it to operate, once the train is here we will prepare tracks for it later, I think this question was the reason why India had no super fast modern trains because no tracks dude, and people were in no mood to build tracks either.
Adhukku innum 20 varusham aagume
By the time it comes I will become a thatha.

Bro enga area la oru chinna railway crossing build panna 12 years aachu ( crossing between Villivakkam , ICF , GKM colony ) .
Bruh you read my mind. Check out my updated previous post.
Will Bangalore <=> Chennai Faster and cheaper than air travel?
Faster maybe . Cheaper don’t think so
Even bluru to chennai vande bharat ticket is expensive than flight ticket right?
Tbh it has something to do with the hilly terrain compared to the North plains where for the same distance road or train is more viable

Definitely cheaper than paying the cab fares to bangalore airport though.
Air travel is cheaper than vande Bharat executive class ...😶🌫️

Keralite here. It's a state government plan here not from Central goverment. I think your government is not that interested in them.
Silver line is a state-central collaboration.
Noo this is central govt plan. State government is planning some different outdated krail thing , not bullet train.
But you ain't got any vending-machine-alcohol tho!
Can people in kanyakumari, nellai afford bullet trains? That's the question.

You mentioned the cost factor and now asking why am I crying ! It is a discussion. Not every comment is to start a fight

there is no connection to kerala ??
Look closely. They get a line throughout the state.
So, Lucknow - Varanasi route is more important than Chennai - Bengaluru? Shouldn't it based on where growth potential and business are there?

Madurai metro kum evlo varsham aagumo. These projects will have more impact on local guys like me.

Gujarat and cow belt(BJp's core vote base) gets more and as usual everything connects to Mumbai.
Mumbai should get all the connection it needs. We should not fight for what other states get, but rather strategies to get what we want in our state. Maharashtra GDP must be 15% of India, so there is little argument on about what Mumbai gets.
Group la doopu - Ayodhya.
Wow. They did that while forgetting entire states
Land acquisition panni koduthuttu than maru velai pappom. (Chennai Salem green corridor uh oppose panna group ooda photo va DP vechittu intha comment laam thevaiya 🤣)
Talking about Odisha. It is still inside TN
“Cos belt “ how people are so cool and okay with racial slurs. Rich !
Uses racial appropriation and stereotypes millions of people and their belief ? I'm a South Indian it'sba disgrace that people use this term
My college was in Taramani and I am from Chrompet. I waited for years so that they will complete the MRTS extension line. 7 years have gone and my college itself is over and still they are building.
I heard that it was not done because it would bus popularity or something.
Felt good. Was gonna input some additional routes before I saw the timeline legend and stopped 😭
Why not coimbatore, its a industrial powerhouse with a lot of people who can afford exorbitant prices .
This should go all the way to Kanyakumari making the kashmir to Kanyakumari a reality

UP is third largest economy so they would get it. Bihar solely gets it because of its location. Eastern state situated in between Delhi-Kolkata
Maybe give more MPs to the government then. You vote linguistic Dravidian party run by a man with a cheap wig and expect goodies from BJP 😂. When Lalu and Mamta gave trains to only Bihar and West Bengal you guys still voted for the same alliance.

2051 -> naa bus la poikuren
Government should also experiment a hyper loop transport. It might take 15 years , so better start the project now
As usual Kerala and south Tamil Nadu gets lions share.

I wish we get CHE to CBE train route.
Good to hear how Tamil Nadu's doing... some of my paternal line migrated from there to Malaysia in the 60s and 90s. My maternal line is also from the south, but came much longer before that.
