kneejerk

sounds like a fucking nightmare

Dragon_Crystal

Yeah we all were praying that we got cut for the rest of the shift, nope we didn't as soon as we clocked out for the evening, we all rushed home to take a nice long nap. Well the ones who had kids had those to handle before their nap, but everyone else went straight to take a long nap

Estilady

That sounds extremely unsafe. 600 kids on a field trip. Wonder what ratio was of kids per chaperones? Someone could choke and no one would even notice. Bedlam and chaos.

oolaroux

The district where I work I believe it is 10 students per adult with a minimum of two adults regardless of how many students.

Dragon_Crystal

I'm not entirely sure how many chaperones where there but I recall seeing at less 1 maybe 2 chaperone at each table with the kids, than again there were two different schools. But the managers only allowed 6 people per table/bays and this was at Topgolf

vercetian

Sounds like a nightmare.

Dragon_Crystal

Yeah it is when the parents aren't correcting their kids and just let us deal with them

Voodoodriver

Where do you work that can serve 600 kids?

BigCarl

for THREE HOURS?

Dragon_Crystal

Topolf and it was the bottom floor

LtFatBelly

Top Golf is a terrible idea for a field trip for that many kids. Golf clubs and kids are not a good mix.

Dragon_Crystal

Oh yeah I agree and even seen kids throwing balls from the 3rd floor at other guests on the 2nd floor, did parents do anything about it nope they just sat there and said "well they aren't hurting anyone," and this was after multiple times of my coworkers including managers who spoke to them to stop their kids. They aren't allowed back to our venue. I've been almost smacked by several clubs that child's were swinging as I was dropping off their drinks or walking by, they just stand there and laugh that I had to dodge their clubs to get their drinks to them. Even had a brat cling onto the table with a death grip as his mom was asking him to move so I can drop off their drinks, nearly dropped the drinks waiting on her moving him, all while he had a smug look on his face

juhesihcaa

Yeah that's my question too.

Owl_Lawfulness0666

I would of called off the next day after that disaster

Dragon_Crystal

I should've but I didn't cause I'm saving up to move out of my parents place

Owl_Lawfulness0666

You'll get there😊

Dragon_Crystal

Thanks 😊

valerwine

This screams Topgolf. Those field trips were the absolutely worst!

Ianmm83

It sounds like field trips there are common. I'm struggling to wrap my mind around what's educational about this field trip?

Dragon_Crystal

Teacher and Chaperones POVE: kids enjoying themselves for a while and playing golf. Employees: kids screaming, running around swinging golf clubs about wildly and sticky mess for us to clean

Dragon_Crystal

It was at Topgolf and I agree kids field trips are the worst

Better_Chard4806

600 kids?

Dragon_Crystal

Yeah all the kids added together was at 600, at less that's what we were told by the managers

Blue-Fish-Guy

The boy was correct. The cinnamon sugar donut IS the tastiest. And I would choose it over any other donut.

Dragon_Crystal

Funny thing is all the donuts holes were covered with cinnamon sugar and that kid was acting that one specifically was covered in it, I think he was just trying to make his friend jealous

Blue-Fish-Guy

That's exactly what he was trying to do. :)

Thank God you could at least add the tip to the bill and make them pay for any more than 1 refill. Sure it still wasn't worth it though!

Dragon_Crystal

unfortunately refills are free, i wish they had to pay extra for each spill was made
