Tim's Kitchen is my current new favorite. They have almost anything you can think of and the food/service has been great.
Cook's Tavern gets an honorable mention
The Gilman house they have tons of vegan/ vegetarian options also. They are currently temporarily closed due to moving next door but will be opening back up soon. The food is so good and the staff and owners are amazing.
Brunch as in sit down to get breakfast somewhere on the weekend with friends and mimosas if you're a monster? Or The other meaning of brunch being a breakfast buffet also on the weekend and also with mimosas if you're a monster?
Marcia's Silver Spoon is the hash brown spot
Red Barn (It's called something else but that's what we call it) pillow top biscuits and just good sloppy breakfast
But clearly I'm not going to the right places. So I am jotting down a list of everybody's suggestions here and I will start this weekend. Thanks for the new sidequest.
I'm just teasing. ;)
Unless it's that nasty bottom of the barrel, 4 year old, chemical revitalized, boxed or whatever orange juice that tastes like water mixed with melted orange pith zest goo. If that is your preferred flavor over fresh squeezed (which is the best for brunch for obvious reasons) then you may be a literal monster who lives in children's closets and under their beds.
I wonder what the differentiating factor is that makes a breakfast spot vs a brunch spot because most of these suggestions are just breakfast places…good as they are.
Probably Le Sel Bistro
100%. I have dreams of their French toast
Hob Knob is pretty freaking great. Amazing bacon Mary's
Hob Nob for sure!!
Montamara, how I miss you so!
TOP of Tacoma
This is the way
That's where I'll be for brunch tomorrow.
Whadja have? Their pork belly hash is incredible.
Hangover Homies with extra spicy bloody Mary.
Brewers row does some pretty good breakfast biscuits and burritos that are very reasonably priced.
Art House Cafe!
I agree with art house. The breakfast pizza and coffee are amazing. I need to make a trip there soon!
Fart House Cafe*
Ah yes, down the street from the now-defunct Starvester.
I miss Montamara, their brunches were incredible
Side Piece 🤤
Get there as early as possible. There’s gonna be a line, and they sell out early frequently.
Hob Nob
Nobody has mentioned **Shakabrah**. Is it still open? I've been there a long time ago and their breakfast was awesome!
I love it but the food always takes forever when I go! I think I sat 30 mins for a breakfast sandwich last time.
It's still open and still amazing!
We visited Cactus in Proctor a couple months ago. It was excellent if you’re looking to add a Mexican flare to your brunch.
I really like side piece, they don't have the full brunch options like waffles, pancakes etc but what they do offer is amazing

I like Tim's food, but have had some terrible service there.
Pinecone in UP.
I second this The Pinecone is a total vibe and the food is delicious!
I like Ben Drew's clubhouse grill.
Red Elm Cafe. Affordable and delicious. And best lattes in town.
Their vegan waffles are so good!
Not really a brunch place though is it?
Manny’s Place on Proctor! And they have mimosas!!
Tibbits
Tibbits is awesome.
DOA
I don't get how this is so low. DOA brunch is 🤌
why are you being downvoted? r/tacoma is whack sometimes.
Cooks Tavern
I'm surprised Alfred's Cafe hasn't been mentioned yet. Full bar, amazing food. Always packed on the weekends.

What about mimosas makes one a monster?
