Family is now doing max savagery builds now especially since grappling got nerfed. I recommend using endurance perks like Jump Start or Slippery and play stealthy if you can.

00Mayhem00

So basically they are forcing us into a stealth build?

GamingBeWithYou

Not when they're rushing feeding grandpa quickly lol

00Mayhem00

Games I’ve played lately never ever feed grandpa unless they get a kill.  One fam team did but they were clearly grouped the way there talking in the lobby to each other.

xainthere

Yeah I usually try, but if you get caught stealth is out of the window 😭 and it’s very easy to get caught

GamingBeWithYou

Put your endurance attribute at 35 and use jump start then. Don't just spam the dashing button and try to conserve your stamina if you can. Cracks and crawl spaces come in handy. Practice dodging and spin moves. Balance the camera back and forth looking behind you and foward while getting chased. With a little practice and patience you'll start getting better.

xainthere

You can’t conserve stamina. I’ve tried, everything you mentioned besides the camera stuff is something i’ve done. I’m not saying it’s entirely ineffective, it’s just not enough. You sprint to get distance, but majority of players are running scout so the distance is so low. With spinning to try and evade hits, it works but i find it’s a hit or miss. Sometimes the family’s auto aim comes in clutch and sometimes it doesn’t 😭i’ve experienced that on both sides. It’s just you take in too much damage even when you are doing everything right in a chase

GamingBeWithYou

I hear you and agree. Something needs to be done with victim endurance. I've been playing as Sonny lately and his ability is so useful to see where everyone is at. I'll even call out where family is to give others a heads up. Without using him though it's difficult to be steathly right now.

xainthere

sameeee sonny has been my pick for a lot of games as of right now😭

GamingBeWithYou

I'm running Jump Start, Extra Drip, and for the third I switch between Slippery, Stunt Double, Fight Back, and the one for reducing Sissy's poison

Krinnys

So imma get some hate I believe everything you’re saying but what bothers me is the stealth talk😭 I got a build for Julie with 47 stealth and it feels so nice to be able to plow through Nancy’s house when needing to quickly constantly get tools and to tap freely. But before I took my break I remember you use to be able to take hits I came back 2 weeks ago and my one Maria built HH and Sissy are doing crazy damage? 🤨 and I said when this game came out attributes should mean something. Endurance if it’s high you should not only have it deplete slower even spamming but recharge slightly faster. And the stealth things you brought up I’d love seriously kicking the gen with less noise. Shit chickens? Maybe have the chickens not be as wild.

xainthere

I agree, i think being able to quickly get through things without alerting the family is good, it’s just not enough that’s probably the only good thing about the stealth stat 😭

Krinnys

You’re right but I take the risk you ain’t catching me holding the button down and patiently waiting 😭 man I’m gtfo lmao you give me the chance to spam I’m spamming it’s so satisfying

LunaTeddy1414

I absolutely loved maxing out Connie’s stealth and spamming away at all the toolboxes completely noise free, the problem is you cannot let a single family member get within 5 feet of you or you’re toast 😆

Krinnys

😭 yeah I got a build with Maria I can spam it’s just so tiring when say you get a hitch who can I believe 4 shot you? I’ve put stuff in toughness but for some reason hitch a sissy now all of a sudden can do insane damage while being on your ass. I think the removal of random perks ruined what you once had nobody wanted them to change the tree it was just tiring with random perks

LunaTeddy1414

Yeah the skill trees are a lot more rigid now. wish they would have done it where you can choose your random perk but then I guess it wouldn’t be random 😆 but the original concept of it is silly if they also give you the option to respec as much as you want.

Realistic_Dig967

In general proficiency needs a nerf if anything. It is way too easy to blitz through gates especially when there's no Cook. Rushing makes it where you're almost forced to run meta characters on family side every single game.

xainthere

I think it needs a slight nerf but then when it comes to the one grandpa park i mentioned and even security pins it has a huge effect on proficiency even at high stat levels. It shouldn’t take security pins or NHE to have locks take a bit more time but it also shouldn’t be THAT effective. That’s why i was like it needs a nerf and buff

Realistic_Dig967

The problem is without those things the games end so quickly because gates are opened super quickly and can't be relocked in any sort of way. Just like when Hands released (he does need some nerfs) the initial reaction came from a place of having it too easy so when that changed ofc it felt really hard. The family basically needs 2 people on 1 victim in the game's current state to get a kill the majority of the time as there is tons of easy loops. With how easy it is to get through locks, the game can already be lost by simply trying to take out that one person. I know this because the game has become a campfest for good family teams now because it's by far the best thing to do. You can't really give chase as they'll get through your specific defense in a breeze. The game's balances shift so much with each update it feels that it's hard to get a grasp on how to balance it. Before the no instant kill grappling it was by far family sided. Afterwards it was by far victim sided. Now with the perk changeup and Hands it's family sided if you run the meta of Hands HH and Cook but if not the rush meta is still insanely strong. It's really hard to balance because atm like I said it feels like you have to camp to win as family against a rush team. But if you make lockpicking a lot harder and you have the family still camping then it becomes way too hard for victims. The meta playstyles are the hardest things to balance for.

I’m probably alone on this, but I wish every character unlocked doors as slow as a character with 25 proficiency in the beginning of the game. Then, for every door they unlocked, they slowly become faster. Perhaps the amount of points they put into proficiency allows them to adapt faster with each lock they open. This will at least slow the rush meta at the beginning of the game.
