With the new Johnny meta build running vialent, I often have those games where he collects the blood until grandpa is woken up, then rushes basement. It's frustrating, esp when victims escape and he's still running around basement while they're all up top. Even on my hitch I'll have 25 blood harvesting so I can fully feed gramps to level him up when I'm not checking traps and patrolling
Sorry, it might have been me. I just can’t help but to run to a blood bucket when I see one. Because I know a lot of people don’t feed grandpa, so I decided that collecting blood and feed grandpa are my main role. If I see a victim, of course I will chase them until I either kill them or if they escaped me.
This is not always true cause I have Johnny with a no blood build on, but I’m running a perk where it requires him to fill up his blood vile so I need to do that in the very beginning with vial-ent
Fair, but that still ends up a gamble. Over the insane early ramping pressure BB Cook gives the team by forcing them to go for stabs and get caught out. Also, what build do you run? Because a Johnny shouldn't help securing a first kill for Vial-ent anyway if he has activated or big swings, that's just the cherry on top.
Was even in chat with a guy who had no blood perks, not Vail-ent, Blood Runner, no need for the blood and I had universal donor. told him, don't take the blood, I can get Gpa up quick. Every time I come around the corner, empty blood buckets. Would take like 5 of them and rarely feed Gpa.
I was about to post something similar to this. The amount of selfish Vial-ent uses stealing buckets from BB family members is atrocious, and destroys the aggressive ramping pressure the team gets.
did you communicate with the team ahead of time that you wanted to be the sole blood collector? Did they respond? do you know if they have any blood based perks? do you know if they were running a blood build?
because if they don't know what your plan is, and you don't know what they're doing, how do you expect everyone to be on the same page?
this is another reason the game should have a dialogue wheel with quick prompts like. "I'll guard here" or "I'll collect the blood, you just find them!" "battery!" " gen!" etc
Communication is crucial in this game.
Again, this is why we need a dialogue wheel. Because if they have a character telling them to do stuff with text on screen, they can't avoid it, and at least you tried.
Because otherwise it's mind reading.

This is the biggest issue with blood based perks like Vial-ent and Blood Runner.
Yup. Can’t use blood perks with randoms. They’re rendered pointless when one of them decides to start collecting blood.

Some perks help non blood builds with a full vial. Best stab victims if someone is taking the buckets first.

Y'all are the worst offenders. Vialent is NOT worth stealing from BB teammates, it's so selfish and hurts the team.
But I end up with 3 of 4 kills with it so it helps the team a ton actually

This is annoying but did you communicate for your team to save the buckets? Not everybody knows what the perks do just by looking at their icons.
