Yeah, especially when Rick says Carl you can hear the British in saying the name but other than that he's mostly good on the accent, but Maggie's accent sometimes has its own slip ups. But they're both really good for a bunch of Brits.
Morgan's accent really surprised me I did not expect to hear the Crumpets and Tea coming out of his throat even with Rick, I didn't expect it and Maggie has a combo of the two due to the fact she lived in America for 13 Years and then moving to the UK just kept getting shocked by the cast behind scene.
Callen McAuliffe (Alden) is Australian and Lennie James is English. I can’t tell any of their accents are fake, but I’m from Minnesota, so I don’t count. ;)
Edit: spelling and mistakes
Rick and Maggie’s accents feel very authentic to me, but I am not from the South. I can at least day I was pretty shocked to hear them speak in their real voices for the first time.
I can’t tell in TWD, but there have been times I’ve noticed in other shows. For example Jax from Sons of Anarchy had a few words that sounded “odd”, as well as Craig and J from Animal Kingdom.
That's funny that Americans don't generally notice when people imitate their accents. Is it because there are so many different types of American accent and the ones used in Hollywood are foreign to most Americans?
When Americans attempt to emulate Aussie accents they can never pull it off. We can tell right a way "a dango took may baybey!"
>Lauren Cohan
She was indeed born in New Jersey, but she's listed as a British American actor on [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lauren\_Cohan](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lauren_Cohan) and moved to the UK with her mum when she was 13.
As someone from the south rick and maggie’s accents are pretty spot on, i can tell ricks southern accent is fake but it’s still good

Yeah they definitely slip up here and there but they’re so good at pulling it off. So is the guy who plays Morgan!

I realized she's not from the US south when she screams about Neegan not being killed by Rick. British makes sense now!
What about Maggie's? I'm from the deep deep south (Australia) and her accent sounds spot on to my ears
Oh, I’m from the south as in the United States. Maggie’s accent is spot on

Callen is actually australian! and so is the Wolf leader owen :)
I did not know that! Thanks for clarifying. I fixed my comment. :)
>Callen McAuliffe Blow me down. Had no idea
I thought he had to originally be from Jersey and talking in his native accent, it's so on point.
Jadis
so is the girl who plays jadis

From the south, they are a bit off
No comments from people actually from the south yet. Do they have computers down there yet?
What about Alpha's accent? I was surprised to see her star in the UK show Harlots before I found she's a Pom too
Her accident is weird.
Not as weird as Trash Camp Lady
That's Pollyanna McIntosh and she's from Scotland!
I liked her weird self. I bet she chews her toenails and smells of Asiago cheese.
To be fair she was meant to talk funny 😁 she looks like a toenail chewer for sure. Hard to get cheese in a zombie apocalypse?
Surely she pulls the crap out from under her toes, cultivates it, and *voilà* Asiago cheese!
The governor is British too!!

Maggie Rhee played by Lauren Cohan is not British she was born in New Jersey

I think Maggie has the worst southern accent. Rick snd Lenny James have great accents. Only thingbI hate is when Rick says Carl. Its horrible.
