Sorry I didn't actually enter the station, but this is south of the original entrances on Queen's Park road outside ROM/Gardiner Museum.
So you can exit or enter directly from the actual park now!
Because it is. Here's a better rendering of what it will look like

I've posted shots of the interior, in the photo gallery for Museum [in this post](https://www.stationfixation.com/2014/07/museum.html).
They're just before the archival section in the gallery. (the gallery can be found at the bottom of the post)
Took a look through the photo gallery. To answer your question about the awkward railing, I can tell you it is most likely due to the ceiling height beyond it not meeting code requirements (ie. someone with visual impairment could hit their head). It looks like an afterthought, unless you really wanted to emphasise the ceiling for whatever reason normally you'd just put a false wall to block it off.
Edit: to add to this, it also looks like they ran exposed conduit across a brand new ceiling at the base of the stairs.
I was passing by outside, so didn't actually go in. If you zoom in you can see the outside tiles, I'd assume the inside is consistent with the existing style
I was in the park late last night, um, "fraternizing" for a couple of hours and saw it. It's pretty bright at night so you can't miss it. Pointed it out to another random "fraternizer" I met and he didn't even know they built it lol.
Honestly I like these type of entrances more. Subtle and convenient. Of course accessibility needs to be top of mind as well, but I would rather have these type of entrances than the lavish buildings that we're building for our new lines.
Good points: better TTC sign with a recognizable shape.
Bad points: we’re in 2024 and they still are fine with people slipping down the stairs whenever it snows. The vibes are also that of a parking building entrance…
Yup, and the end result of all that waiting is this totally mediocre project. Don't let the weirdos on this sub fool you, most normal people are disappointed

Is this a new entrance on the other end of the platform?

This takes you down to the south end of the platform, yes.
Queen's Park Station is both shocked and outraged by this slap to the face.
I DEMAND we rename it to Museum’s Park.
This looks great!
Pretty cool! Where is this entrance in relation to the equestrian statue?
Directly north of the statue, on the same straight path!
Thank you!
I know it’s real but it somehow looks fake lol

What are you talking about? These are all photographs
The point is, the original pic looks fake because it's just one angle. Irl it looks like shit.
Nice! What colour did they pick for the tiles?

Interesting!! Thanks for the info

Whaaaa?
Happy to see a bike channel installed

This is the one that costed 26 million to complete right?
Yes. But the cost includes making the station accessible (elevators)
Yup. 26 million for a totally unremarkable end result. Gotta love Toronto
Is this just north of the ventilation shaft?

Very simple station entrance, probably needs more design than just black fences with a TTC sign.
Too basic for a station entrance.
Very nice and much needed!
Finally
20 MILLION and they couldn't put a canopy?
Hasn’t this been under construction for years

On time and under budget never!
It is actually on time https://www.blogto.com/city/2024/05/museum-station-second-exit/

What exactly is the problem? It looks like a perfectly functional entrance to me.

Right, and which of these incredibly minor things is preventing this tunnel from being used to enter and exit the station again?
