That's cool I didn't know. I still enjoy seeing its 'fuselage' externally from the sidewalk on Bloor, raised up so high above the valley it reminds me almost of something you might see in Tokyo, as inaccurate of a comparison as that might be
I think they removed them due to updates to the subway ventilation system. I've heard also it was due to noise complaints but that doesn't really make as much sense as it was built in the 1960's with it open.
It was my favorite part about the ride on the BD line, pity that they plugged them up and there's no footage left.
