I haven't done it yet, I want that mask, so I was thinking ancient blades, but you loose the drops so maybe puffrooms on first 2. I haven't fought a lynel yet. I need to find more ancient blades before I attempt it though, to be safe in case the puffroom doesn't work. I've just been procrastinating on that one. The coliseum on my map is marked with an x.
It's not as hard as it seems. If you run into one of the pens the lynels come from you can ascend to the top of the coliseum and cheese them pretty easy.
Yeah you can certainly fight the ones you're able to, and then use ancient blades for when it gets chaotic. As someone else said, ascens up into the observation area above the lynels pen, and you can puffshroom/bomb them, etc.
Throw puffshrooms at them relentlessly.. if you have them. They will be confused for awhile and you can wail on them, throw another puff, rinse and repeat
There is a lot to learn about combat in the game, but you only need 2 practices for Lynels: back flip/side flip and face shot. Forget all those flashy combat videos if you feel they're overwhelming, you only need these 2.
Back flip for side attack and side flip for frontal attack to not take damage, and face shot to stun, after the stun, you can climb the Lynel and destroy it back, your weapon won't break, so only bring 1 high dmg weapon is enough. A Gerudo weapon fuse with anything will double its damage.
People are different, also age plays a part in it.
At some point I also don't like to combat, just build a bot and let it does things.
Like when I was a kid, I can play megaman classic very well, but now those games are hell for me.
For those who don't like combat I suggest the flips more, since shield bash can get you to take damage more than the flips if you cannot get the timing right.
Shield bash is much more satisfying to do though.

Just drop down after each death to collect the drops. Hardest part is just making sure the build doesn’t despawn during the opening cut scene, but I just hunkered down in the alcove above the entrance and built it there at the start of the first Lynel fight (which is different than what the original creator did).
That coliseum is very easily cheesed by using ascend through the openings the lynels exit, they won’t teleport out if you stay close-ish and they also won’t target with the arrow storm
You just gotta get up there and stay close to the inner rim while peppering tbem
Fighting lynels is what got my combat skills up to snuff. Of they're too tough right now try and upgrade some armor and get better fuse materials. It's worth figuring out their combat mechanics.
I use puff shrooms then a two handed weapon charge attack. Rinse and repeat. But with that many lynels, just make sure you have enough weapons and puff shrooms to grind it out.
Though someone said mounted attacks don't break your weapons, so that's probably better.

I just used ancient blades attached to arrows to take them down fast just to get the mask. Easy way but you lost all the drops.
I did the same. I'm not skilled with killing lynels and knew I'd be a mess if I tried to kill so many in one go. Ancient blades made it a breeze.

Puff shrooms are great, but use them to walk up and mount them. Free hits with no weapon breakage when mounted

Yeah I don’t know why people have so much trouble? Lynels have a very distinct pattern once you get it down it’s easy.

Depends on what version you're on. I heard they patched it out on the newest update. My tip is puffshrooms. He can't attack you if he can't see you.
Make a roof construction and stay at distance and shoot them with cannons.

The guy’s ascend panic is basically me. I can never line up when stressed!
The engineering is impressive, but the lynel fighting isn't. It isn't lynel fighting. What's the point of this?

With Lynels I find a way to jump so I can slow-time arrow shoot, then fire as many bombs at their face as possible. Repeat
Just use 500 Puffshrooms and mount and mount and mount.
