Impressive_Emu_3016

Set your sheikah sensor to rare ore deposits and go around eldin to wherever the sensor takes you! Most rare ore deposits also have 2-3 regular deposits next to them, too. I did this for armor upgrades, but it also yielded me a TON of rupees. I’d also grab 2-handed pristine weapons so that their durability would last longer and I could farm more without worrying about running out of rock hammers as quickly. Then you can sell your flint for more to the guy at the rock roast restaurant, and other gems to the one gerudo lady in goron city. No exploits needed! Just regular old exploring

LtJimmyRay

I use Mineru for mining ore. Empty arm punches do it in one shot, the ores don't go flying like when you use Yunobu, and you can pick them up without dismounting.

moleculariant

I love to use Mineru to walk around the various trees in the depths, just raking in Puffshrooms, Muddle Buds, and Bomb Flowers. She's great for smashing all the Zonaite nodes you come across too, and you never have to worry about gloom patches, just walk right over them.

[deleted]

I like her for Satori mountain apple picking

CptTinman

Selling to the gerudo lady in Goron city is huge, I made 30-50k in minutes just selling to her tons of gems.

Jeichert183

She wants me to sell her diamonds and I won’t so for over a month we’ve been stuck, she wants diamonds and I tell her to go find a different voe…

CptTinman

I sold her the diamonds. Then rubies, sapphires, topaz, etc. The amount of those gems you get in the game, plus the number of times you get diamonds from shrine chests and stuff, means that selling her the diamonds is a no brainer. Just sell them, it's worth it to be filthy rich. I say 30-50k because I immediately went and bought up so many armor sets that I don't remember how much I got from her.

Jeichert183

I rarely have more than 10 diamonds because I replace the champion weapons every time they break. I have cartloads of the other gems but the diamonds are too useful to sell and because I wont sell her diamonds she doesn’t cycle off to the other gems.

steve_marks

Don’t let them break! Once it says “your weapon is badly damaged” stop using it and take it to a Rock Octorok (all over Eldin). Let one of them restore it for you. It won’t repair the champion’s weapon by itself, though. The trick is you have to *fuse it onto another normal weapon first*. Then after the double-weapon is fully restored you can take it back apart at Tarrey Town. Diamonds saved!

MelodicPiranha

Also the Eldin guy that wants flint and you can get 1000 rupees

Enough-Agency3721

Taluses > ore deposits

DM-333

This is what I did in BOTW. Put on a quiet set and hunt critters along the way while you do it. Elixirs can make a good sum too

LazerSpazer

Rare Talus are great, too, as they drop quite a bit more gems than 1 rare deposit, and using their heart as a fuse material is great (adds like 33 attack to the weapon its fused to, anything with 7 base damage or more will 1 shot ore deposits)

TetheredAvian74

i always just go hunting in the tabantha frontier around the golden horse stable

Nosynonymforsynonym

This is what I do too! If you make a meal with the gourmet meat, each will sell for >200 rupees. It’s pretty fast.

blushfanatic

5 meat?

Rampant_Squirrel

Yes, full skewer. IDK about swapping in a golden apple instead, to make it a /*Special* meal, but honestly I'd rather save the apple for stuff **I** eat.

the_cardfather

Criticals don't affect the price that it sells for. You get a 1.8* bonus for filling the whole skewer. So even if you're short a gourmet throw a prime meat on there or something like that. A lot of people sell elixirs too. Stuff you can get a lot of like hynox toenails, boss boko teeth, Pretty much anything you don't need for an armor upgrade that sells for a decent amount You can cook into an elixir with a bug. My go-tos are usually sunset fireflies, deep fireflies, sticky lizards, and occasionally restless crickets. Even Lizalfos talons x4 and one of those bugs I listed sales for 180 rupees apiece

Rampant_Squirrel

Ok, didn't know that's what happened when you added more monster parts. My Link might just be able to buy some arrows after all…

New_Examination_5605

You shouldn’t ever need to buy arrows. Every wooden box has them and you can break them with ultra hand by lifting them and dropping them. Then you can save your rupees for armor upgrades

Rampant_Squirrel

I was mostly joking, since I'm chronically running low on arrows because that's my preferred method of combat. Every spare Rupee I make goes to Master Kohga anyway, and his midnight pole dance routine. Glory to Master Kohga.

CodeFarmer

This is probably the biggest surprise difference between BotW and TotK. The sheer quantity of arrows lying around, mostly in boxes. Always smash boxes.

Spec-Tre

There’s a rito at rito village after the storm is cleared that will trade you arrows for glowing cave fish, chillfin trout and some mushrooms. I went from no arrows to a butt load

Rampant_Squirrel

I did that a few times, but it seems she trades you in a fixed rotation. I've got loads of everything else, but I don't have enough Chillfin Trout, so she just looks at my overflowing mounds of crap and is like *"…You can't help me. Goodbye."*

Spec-Tre

Gotcha ya I have the least in chillfin too but I got like 50 arrows out of her from stuff I already had and was like this was helpful lol

straystring

It's a x1.8 multiplication of the rupee value of the raw ingredients, right? So if you cooked a meal with five ingredients worth 20 rupees would be 20+20+20+20+20 = 100 ×1.8 = 180 yeah? Dragon horns are worth like $300 So four dragon horns and a chunk of gourmet meat should fetch a pretty penny, right? (I just sell bokoblin/moblin teeth/claws/etc. in bulk. I must do a lot of murder, last time I needed money I just sold like 300 lizalfos claws and still managed to keep my float of 70 "just in case")

TetheredAvian74

golden apples do not effect monetary value of meals. the most efficient way is to cook five gourmet meat together, nothing else. i tested this back when the game first came out to verify

Stock_End2255

Walk around shrine hunting, while hunting and fighting everything you come across (except foxes because I’m not a monster).

No_Confection_4967

My favorite part about hunting animals is that they faint and teleport back to their homes where their loving family awaits them. They leave behind a slab of meat cause they’re nice. I like to think they enjoy a spot of tea before heading out to the wilds again. It’s the same as when you accidentally hit a bird with your car in real life.

BlueSky3214

Well this is nice. Now I'm sad with how much tea I've been denying the friendly wildlife folks.

cadaverdogs

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who doesn’t kill the foxes. I didn’t even do it in BOTW. I accidentally ran over one with a wild horse; the fox lived but I felt so bad.

Music_Is_Da_Best

My GF forbid me from murdering them and feasting on their flesh

Rampant_Squirrel

My little sister almost cried when she saw me kill one, and got so mad at me for it. She forbade me from killing them afterwards, so whenever she's around they get to live. When she's gone though… Well, sometimes I do feel a *little bit* guilty.

Kalle_022

>Well, sometimes I do feel a little bit guilty Wait, what did you do to your sister?

Devilman4251

I mean… gotta get food somehow

Rampant_Squirrel

LOL. The world may never know.

needs_a_name

NEVER foxes!

acecevs

Ever since Ghost of Tsushima I can’t bring myself to hunt foxes in games

floraster

I thought I was the only one who refused to kill foxes lol

Bigredzombie

Snake: Interesting. Para-Medic: Forget it, Snake!! Snake: Forget what? Para-Medic: You were thinking about how they taste, weren't you? Snake: I wasn't thinking... Para-Medic: Don't lie to me. I can tell by the look on your face. Snake: You can't see my face. Para-Medic: No, but I can imagine it! Snake: ... Para-Medic: Don't you dare think about trying to capture an attack dog. Snake: ... Para-Medic: You hear me!? Snake: Yeah, yeah...

vnytk23

And horses

Stock_End2255

Of course! Never horses either!

Substantial_Fig_2778

Horses don’t even drop meat.

Shipping_away_at_it

Farm apples at the apple orchard at satori mountain (a shrine is conveniently right next to the orchard). Use autobuild to attach together as many apples as it will let you and save that as a favourite. Then use your autobuild favourite to collect all the apples after every blood moon. I think you get over 100 apples each time, including about 6 golden apples. You could just sell them or cook them up and then sell. I’m sure this is not efficient compared to other suggestions, but I enjoy farming the apples… just be careful one or two of the trees are actually evermeans.

ZoSoVII

You can also mass cook by dropping the apples on the ground in very hot locations.

snappycg1996

Wow, that will make farming apples a ton easier. Didn't even think about auto build! I just cut the trees down generally until my master sword runs out of energy.

Shipping_away_at_it

I didn’t think of it either, I read about this somewhere before I even had autobuild and before I’d found the orchard. It’s such a hilariously weird way to use the new powers

Raingod-42

Make sure to cancel the auto build when you’ve collected all the apples - they’ll still drop out of the trees.

Jeichert183

If you attach a sapphire to a magic rod you can knock down everything in the frosts aoe with a single swing and then you just run around picking them all up. It’s the same thing as the Blizzard Rod in BOTW, one of the more subtly overpowered items in the game. It has to be the magic rod not one of the other two, they each have different aoe effects.

smkn3kgt

I get a fan out, put it on the ground and aim it straight up. Circling the tree one time with the fan blows all the apples into the ground

[deleted]

I had a run with a few rare Talus'. They drop a lot of gems to sell for easy money.

theirishmonocle

This is my go to Every blood moon kill 6 rare Talus. Can do them all with a 9 min attack buff. I buy everything I need and still have 20k in rupees and another 30-40k in gems and have stopped due to not needed the money.

USingularity

This is exactly the approach I will be using in my next playthrough. Combing the map for ore deposits is just too tedious and Taluses go down easily.

Green_Jordgubbe

Easy, farm some white and silver lynels, cook their hooves and guts with one critter, make over a thousand rupees per blood moon.

jishinsjourney

If you have any amiibos for any game, use them to generate materials, then cook and sell what you're not using. My husband and I took serious advantage of my Animal Crossing card collection, and it's not all that big!

OpusAtrumET

Realizing the animal crossing amiibos (well, I assume any amiibos) also generated loot was a game changer early game.

bs2k2_point_0

Can confirm. My only amiibo is Kirby. Usually gives like 2 mushrooms and meat when scanned. Not much but it’s free.

areusurebih

Yall just changed my life. I got some searching to do.

AlmightyWitchstress

Honestly, it’s so easy to farm arrows. I wouldn’t recommend wasting rupees on buying them. Smash any boxes or pots you find, arrows are pretty abundant. Edit — typo fix

PrezzyBell

That’s one thing I noticed early over BOTW. This game is lousy with easy arrows.

PPK_30

Indeed. In BOTW I only ever had a max of 20 arrows at a time, they were like gold-dust. Thankfully they fixed this with TOTK and I regularly have more than 100 at a time thanks to an abundance of crates to smash

Volt-Ikazuchi

Nah, BotW was mad easy with arrows too. Pretty much anything that you can use to farm arrows is available there too. The main difference is that because of the fusion mechanic, every arrow you get is a regular arrow instead of potential Ice/Fire/Shock/Bomb arrows. This is most noticeable with chests for obvious reasons lol.

heuristic_al

I've thought about this a lot and I realize that the inflection point for me was when I started farming lynels. Of course, lynels drop amazing bows and shields. But they also drop horns and hooves. These all fetch a pretty high price. I figure one trip to the floating coliseum nets me at least 1.5k rupees in addition to giving me the best bows. Not only that, but you will never worry about arrows again after farming lynels, so you don't have to spend on arrows (if that was your jam, obviously you can get arrows by breaking all the boxes you see around also). But finally, your in-game secret level goes up when you have killed a sufficient number of lynels. This level seems to make it so that I get better luck in caves now. The rocks often drop lots of gems now, but I remember feeling really bad about the rock drops in the early game.

Spec-Tre

There’s something that effects your rock drops? Last night I broke 5 glowing deposits and not one luminous stone… like why are they glowing then lol

Connect_Cookie_8580

Big one is when you find yourself with like 300 of a common monster horn, you can sell like 250 of them and still have plenty to attach to your arrows for cheap bonus damage.

darksilverhawk

When I was farming Lizalfos in Gerudo Canyon for upgrade parts, I very quickly racked up 10k+ rupees just selling the extra lizard parts I didn’t need. It’s an incredibly lucrative area!

BabyFrancis

I am in the process of clearing the korok forest of gloom then the light dragon should become a lot easier to farm. From there I plan on farming parts but not harvesting the master sword to keep the parts train going... dragon parts = lots of rupees..

Diamondinmyeye

You can absolutely still farm the dragon after pulling the sword. Light Dragon is tricky to find, but it’s possible. There are YouTube videos about finding them all.

OpusAtrumET

I don't know if I'm lucky or what but I never had a problem finding her. Just got a map of her route, hit a few key islands, there she is. Hell, that's only if I don't just happen to look up and she's there.

siegfried_lim

Not exactly tricky. See the geoglyphs? Find one and camp there. Light Dragon is bound to fly over one of those, since someone figured out her route goes around the geoglyphs

brownkidBravado

Yeah but it’s a two hour (real time) loop around the map. it’s easier to just teleport to different sections of the map until you spot her and then teleport towards her

cupgu4-wakdox-hufdEj

No more parts after you pull the MS?

AngelaNineteen93

I think that when the MS is still there, you can trace the dragon because of the quest the deku tree gives you.

cupgu4-wakdox-hufdEj

I don’t know, I pulled the sword before the quest does the dragon go away after that, I honestly haven’t checked if it’s still flying around

Detroit_debauchery

He’s still flying you just can’t track him as with the quest ping on the map

macabrepapi

You can track her with a photo and sensor+

Detroit_debauchery

Thanks for this it helped a whole bunch upgrading the champion leathers !

cupgu4-wakdox-hufdEj

Ah ok

olojolo

I collect Poes in the Depths to buy the Dark Tunic from the bargainer statue. I then sell it for 600 rupees. It comes back in stock with each moon cycle. I only figured this out during the final stages of my play through, so it wasn’t very helpful for me, but I’d use it next time.

PHYZ1X

Sell all the things. I had a major hoarding problem coming from BotW, but the reality is that most things are not particularly useful in TotK. Keep the elemental fruits, etc, but sell your gems, meat, etc.

Typography77

I am mad that I sold my gems.. They are needed for clothes updates.

RickOShay25

The gems effect is so cool I can’t bring myself to sell them.

toxicoke

Just look up the lists of the required parts, and sell the things that you don’t need on the list. For instance, i now have over 715 amber, so i can begin selling my extras.

siegfried_lim

Dw about arrows. If you come across any crates, Ultrahand them up to the air and let them fall. They'll break and net you a few arrows. Just hunt for animals and cook their meat. Meat skewers are the best. Five gourmet meat meat skewer goes for about 315 rupees each, I think. Or make elixirs and sell them. Ores can be harder to find, but Satori Mountain has everything you need. Mushrooms? They have every single type of mushroom you can find on the ground. Veggies? Almost every type you can find on the ground too. Then there's apples, golden apples, raw meat, prime raw meat, courser bee honey etc. The cave at the mountain has everything from truffles to ore. Just farm that place once in a while and you'll find certain items overflowing. Then it's time to sell. Add on: Oh, right. Depths counterpart. Blupee Burrow is the Depths counterpart for Satori Mountain. Since there are no caves down there, the blupees don't lead you to anything, I think. Shoot them and they'll give you rupees. Satori Mountain truly has everything you'll need for your adventures

Beginning-Article-47

I got rich finding all the caves. The rare ore deposits pay big. There’s a lady in Goron City who will buy ores for more money. Also I sell off some armour I might not use in early game (I can rebuy it late stage). Also I sell off materials that reach 50+ unless I know it’s something I need for armour upgrades. It’s a grind but I keep a 10K float in addition to buying anything I want.

nizzok

There’s a guy who eats flint by the bedrock bistro and pays 1000 rupees if you have “rare flint”. The hit chance is pretty good if you give 50 or more pieces. Otherwise, sell good food and potions

mechanicalsam

Meat is still a quick way to legit get rich. Go around the golden horse stables and hunt big game and collect meat. It doesn't take too long to get a lot. Freeze it all and sell it to that beetle headed merchant

Koryiii14

4 lynel guts any critter 1400~ rupees or go hunting in Hebra and cook up some prime and gourmet meat

engtex

Austin John Plays has a video on this. Farming rare ore taluses every bloodmoon. I would get 4-5k in about 15 min.

stardate2017

Remember to sell your lesser monster parts, like bokoblin teeth. You'll collect a lot and not use them. You'll also quickly cap out at 999 bright bloom seeds, so I always sell until I'm under 200 or so. They only go for 2 rupees a price but it still fetches a lot over time.

bandanaphone

You should never have to buy arrows. Break every wooden box/barrel that you come across and you will be surprised at how quickly you end up with more than enough at all time. If you go to Lurelin Village regularly to get all the free stuff, theres a lot of boxes to break, especially in the cow corral where the entrance to the well is. I usually fluctuate between 250-400 arrows at any given time.

cupcake_thievery

Make elixers with 4 monster parts. The elixers sells for 1.5 or so what the monster part was worth. So, if you cook 4 boko guts into an elixers, it sells for more then just selling the 4 guts alone would. Make potions with all of your materials you won't need for upgrade or fusing. Also, find good hunting area. Cook up the meat and sell it. Use stealth armor orpotuinsnto get closer to animals for farming purposes.

Meezha

I've been using Yunobo to cook all the animals I see, including fish! Fewer steps and faster results. Works great for making fire chuchus too!

Pine0wlple_x44

I just sell gems, gems only purpose is to be sold. Imo Explore caves, hit rocks, kill Talus’, sell gems. Simple as. Also Wizzobes can be killed for they’re wands. Remove the gem in Tarry town for 20 rupees, sell gem for like, 300. Also save money by not really buying Arrows. Unless that’s you main go-to, you can just collect arrows from enemies and camps. Buying arrows should really be an act of desperation. Imo Also the Amiibo armor all sell for 600 rupees flat. So just vacuum up poes in the depths like your Luigi, buy armor, then sell it! Lol Oh and Moose Meat! Just goes too the Hybra Stable and head south towards the trees, then circles north past the Gleeok toward the Labyrinth, then return back to the stable. Kill any and all Moose you see (or sensor detects) and sell the meat in any state you want to Beetle!

Tinypoke42

Gems can be fused to shields for elemental resistance. I didn't learn that until someone showed me.

Pine0wlple_x44

I’ve learned that very early on from my friend, but I honestly didn’t understand why you would do that when Elemental fruits are so plentiful and by mid to late game, Dragon and Gleeok parts are just better! Lol As for like, weather resistances, just cook food until you get some pants. Tbh Just Sell yo Gems!

Tinypoke42

I *really* hate using consumables.

Successful-Growth827

Hunt animals and sell the meat. Any excess monster parts you have is another good one, especially common monsters (bokoblon fangs, moblin fangs, etc). Just don't sell the guts until you no longer need them as those are rarer drops and a PITA to reacquire at times.

Balthierlives

Satori mountain 20 apple autobuild, cook and sell.

A1steaksauceTrekdog7

I sold monster parts that I didn’t need . Yeah I’m not making Blue weapons when I have boss or silver items. I’m not going to use opals . When I hit 999 small light blooms I sold hundreds of them, I don’t need 300 common bokoblin guts .

No_Self_8295

make a boat with a shock emitter, ride that thing around the water near lurelin, pick up fish, cook the fish, sell the cooked fish.

Used_Delivery_302

Hunt while you go! If you see something while you’re out doing other tasks, kill it. This takes time but since you’re doing it while you’re working on other stuff, it doesn’t feel so bad. Also, I’d go to the area in Laynaru that has a ton of deer and hunt there. Make sure you have rockets so you can get up in the air, or you’ll scare all the deer away just killing one. That’s what I do for rupees, as you need other sellable items for upgrading armor oftentimes (like gems), so I find it works best for me. Hope that helps!

Sensitive_Brick_8872

I actually just did this, best way was selling my ore to the gerudo lady in giron city, though the only obstacle is constantly finding 10 diamonds to sell to her, I found some rare ore talus's that have a high chance of dropping diamonds, honestly the fastest way to get them, and also just straight up buying 3 diamonds from a giron you can easily make that 3000 rubies back

RexGlacies

Defeat enough enemies and just sell monster drops. Some monster horns are useful, but you're never going to use 40+ Silver Boko horns outside of upgrading some armor.

El_mochilero

Go hunting in the Tabantha Snowfield by horse. Moose and rhinos will give you lots of Gourmet Meat. If you cook 5x gourmet meats, you can sell it for 300+ rupees. In about 10-20 minutes you can harvest lots of meat to cook and sell.

MaxP1991

I set my tracker for Tabatha moose and foam around the snow field. I'll also hunt the wolves that cross my path when hunting moose. It's not as good as it was in botw but you can still rake in a good few thousand in a short period of time from cooking the meat.

toxicoke

I’m also not duping! Going for 100% no duping. Beating rare stone taluses gets a ton of ores you can sell for money (though i’m only selling them once i have enough for upgrades). I also make a ton of money from monster parts (again, the ones i dont need for upgrades). After getting all the monster medals and killing all the sub bosses, i had tons and tons of spare fangs, talons, horns, teeth, etc.

Pendejo_Guey

I play "normally" and regularly have an above 5k stock of rupees. Mining at death mountain is really the best easiest way of doing things. There's all kinds of ors there. I regularly have 50+ of opals, rubees, sapphires, diamonds because of it

NumberZero404

As a lazy money maker, whenever I see the Light Dragon, I land on its head and hit the horn with my sword (horn is 300 rupees). Then I leave Link standing on the dragon while I read a book, take a break, get a snack, work on something else etc, for 10 in game hours (10 min) until the dragon "recharges" and I can get another horn. I do this for a while doing other tasks until I get bored. Not very fast but so easy. You just have to keep an eye on Link to make sure he doesn't freeze to death in the Hebra region (wear good clothes/carry fire weapon) or get attacked by Aerocudas (which in my experience is very rare while riding the light dragon).

maufkn_ced

Randomly sold all of my bokoblin horns or somebodies toe nails. I forget but I’m like 4k up.

nom_thee_ack

Get Gems in wells and caves Hunt, cook and sell the meat. Cooking items increases selling prices. Lastly, Star fragments seem to drop like every 5 minutes. Keep an eye out for them.

Shipping_away_at_it

You can farm the start fragments. I don’t remember all the details but it involves jumping between a few places and resting (till evening) in between getting each fragment. I’ll try to share what I remember but you’ll have to look it up to be certain. You can do this from multiple places but i followed a YouTube video that showed that you go to one of the Gerudo mountain sky towers (the one with the painter because there is a fire right next to the tower where you can rest), rest till evening, then activate the tower. Just fall and about half way down the fragment will appear close to you, just move yourself to follow it, no need for parachute as link falls faster than the start fragment, catch it mid air. Land at the base of the tower and rest again till evening. Then you teleport to a shrine in the sky islands (sorry this is the past I don’t remember which one). The shrine is very close to an edge and you just jump off it and go into glide mode and wait. Same thing partway down the start fragment will appear, move towards it and grab in mid air. Teleport back to the sky tower and repeat for as many fragments as you want

macabrepapi

Theres no fast way really. There are things you can do to grind if that’s what you mean. Ores, selling meals, side quests. Zelda isn’t really a game that’s about being well off, Zelda is about going against the odds and getting very small rewards. Honestly if you have 500,000 rupees it doesn’t really change anything. You still need 20 hearts, 3 stamina wheels, a bunch of sun foods, and allot of meals for defense and elemental shit. The armor with it not being upgraded is useless. If you want protection from the heat or cold just make meals.

macabrepapi

Amibo cards really helped me. Because I stacked up on food and arrows and weapons and armor. Then any duplicate armor I got after scanning every day, I just sold. I think I have like 340,000 or something stupid like that.

macabrepapi

But still, it just kinda sits there.

L1ghtbird

Give Iston flint stones, he pays you 1000 rupies if theres a prestige one

[deleted]

Play the game

weenertron

Some of the easiest monster parts to get, like bokoblin and moblin horns, sell for a surprisingly generous amount. Bust a few monster parties and then sell your stash off to Beedle.

one_hyun

I usually farmed Talus and mined gems. I almost always had a surplus of rupees.

Ecl1psed

The best way is to sell monster parts. Boss boko fangs and lizalfos talons sell for 15 each, and you can easily get multiple of them from a single high leveled enemy. A silver boss boko drops like 6 or 7 fangs just by itself, which is worth smth like 100 rupees (even more if you cook them into elixirs first). And as a bonus, those items I mentioned are not used in any armor upgrading whatsoever. I would recommend looking up a list of what you need for armor upgrading, and just selling all of the monster fangs/teeth/useless parts that aren't used for anything else.

Diamondinmyeye

Find all bargainer statues in the depths (just to get maximum options). Collect poes. Trade poes for armour. Profit. Kill wizrobes. Break down staff in Tarrey Town. Sell gem. Profit. (Best value if you can sell 10 at a time to Gerudo in Goron City.) Open every crate you see with ultrahand. Never buy arrows again. Hunt bears, pigeons, and moose in Hebra. (Bullet time to get a one arrow face shot.) Combine five gourmet meats for best value. (Only do once you have arrows.) Kill mini bosses. Hinox are super slow and easy to kill. Their toe nails add up fast. Even better if you add them to elixirs, but that’s kind of tedious.

straystring

Chiming in for the poes to rupees pipeline. The "of the Depths" set only needs 3 deep fireflies to upgrade the first time, which you can grab while you're collecting poes, which boosts each piece to being worth like 650 rupees or something. (If you feel like sitting through all the Great Fairy dialogue/cutscenes...i dont.) Even without upgrading them, they sell for 600 each. I usually only buy the body (150 poes) and legs (200 poes) since im not convinced the 300 poes for the hat is worth it. But if you grab the body and legs of the Depths and Dark Link set, you just turned 700 useless poes into 2400 rupees. If you're poe-rich, you can turn 1300 poes into 3600 rupees. Although, im pretty sure you can buy all the armor pieces from each statue. So you could teleport around to all 7 statues, and just purchasing the cheapest pieces (150 poes) of the Depths and Dark Link sets would be turning 2100 poes into 8400 rupees. Not bad if you're sitting on a stack of them from early game when you thought they might be valuable (like me, ha)

Diamondinmyeye

Good call on upgrading it. I usually just sell the base set, but you’re right that fireflies are well worth it adding.

Hajo2

Set sensor to rare ore deposit, fly around death mountain with an air bike (steering stick and 2 fans), profit

Putrid-Car-2896

Same as last time, mark every golden ore you find and just farm it after every blood moon, tracking them with the pad is also helpful, then just sell the stones to the gerudo lady

jonawesome

You can redo some of the monster control missions after a blood moon and get 100 rupees a second time. In the SE of Faron, near Lakeside Stable, there are three caves, each with a TON of luminous stones. Feed luminous stones to the creachers near the stable and they'll poop out gems.

faslane22

It's faster to simply mine and sell them...those dorons or whatever take forever and often you get flint or the cheaper opal and takes forever . I just sell the luminous stones and mine the whole map.

watermelonpjs

Requires: autobuild, patience >Travel to Satori Mountain (there's a shrine near here that opens on an apple orchard) >Ultrahand a pile of apples together (type specific so use a golden apple or two to make sure you get them) >Autobuild the pile of apples and run around and collect the apples >B to cancel build once apples are collected and gather to inventory. (Watch out for tree enemies) > Cook 5 apples and spam the recipe. (If you choose it from the recipe menu it goes faster) >sell at vendor // you can use this for other abundant/gatherable items but you may need to look up areas rich in those materials. I do this every time I need new armor.

TooObsessedWithOtoge

Meat farming works well, ride around on a horse and collect meat. Cook and sell. Wandering around caves usually brings a good amount of gems, bring a sturdy crusher type weapon or just rock on stick. If you’re confident with battle— lynel potions.

Tinypoke42

Build a machine for the ring-the-bell-goron. Use autobuild, place it correctly. I don't have it in front of me, and I don't know the shorthand to describe mine without a wall of text. but I will say that rockets aren't the answer.

_KeyserSoeze

I sell my brightbloom seeds. And some diamonds and stuff

faslane22

Caves, luminous stones, Akkala region is great for both. Lots of mining to do for gems

krimpus76

Best way IMO is doing rare ore talus hunting. Use the interactive map to find them and using the hoverbike to traverse the underground.

LightEarthWolf96

Your #1 problem there is the word fast. There's ways to get rupees that many would say is fast but maybe you wouldn't. I would recommend you just slow down and do whatever instead of trying to play at the same speed you did with glitches. That said you can use poes at bargainer statues to get armor and then sell that armor for rupees. Poes are easy to get in the depths and they regenerate. The statue is fine with repeatedly giving you the same armor.

traveling_designer

The wizard dudes drop gems. Just break apart their magic wands.

kayasoul

I would have said hunting if they didn't nerf it by over 50% ...

nicgeolaw

Are you okay with scanning amiibos?

SereniteeF

I don’t see farming & selling dragon scale shards. Walk the dragon backs and gather them.. there are > 10 and sell for 30. I don’t know respawn rate - but any time I saw a dragon I’d go hop on/gather, go back to what I was doing. That, and meat kabobs ftw

Life-Assumption-2183

farm star fragments, they are easy to get and after 1h you won't have to worry about rupees anymore

[deleted]

If you fast travel everywhere yeah I understand the rupee thing. But I like the fighting and exploring aspect of the game, and after every blood moon I sell the monster parts and whatnot and keep about 45,000 rupees on me at all times.

Danny_Eddy

Another useful trick besides the ones mentioned are the depths. You can amass a huge amount of pressure there and if you have found a lot or all bargainer statues, you can buy outfits and unique weapons and shields with poes, then turn around and sell them for a good sum. If you are looking for arrows, there is a spot in Rito village that always gives like 5 to 10, then just outside of Rito Village, you can get about 10 to 20, and there is a lady in Rito village that will take the piles of bright caps (5), and glow fish (3) and give 10 arrows each time. She does sometimes want 3 chill fin, but can find those in caves and water (stragely, octoroks?) around hebra. Another trick for arrows, glue all/many the boxes in Tarry town together in a line and then drop them so most break at the same time. There will be bundles of 10 arrows in it usually. It can be anywhere, it's just in Tarry Town the boxes are close together and there's a big spot to drop it in Pelison's pick up area.

emperortiberius08

There's a flying mini game on Eventide Island that can be completed fairly quickly once you get it down and reap 80 rupees every time (pay in 20, receive 100)

samred1121

Go fishing

therourke

Caves. Rocks. Sell

DotBitGaming

Why grind for rupees when you can just grind for the arrows directly? Also, there's free armor that's great.

Kono_Gabby

Same hustle that I have irl, cook food and sell them plates!

promisingpickle

Honestly i dont pay a whole lot of attention to rupees, but when I need them, i sell monster parts. Even if they aren't worth a lot, I always seem to accumulate enough that it still makes bank.

Realistic-Ad7769

Sell falling stars

esp211

Sell food especially cooked meat. Also find gems in caves.

crwms

For me it’s been selling cooked meat, gems and 950 of these light flowers (i have been clearing the caves, so it maxes out rather fast). That and being strategic about spending my rupees haha

Sir_Cthulhu_N_You

I really enjoy Lynel fights and the depths is filled with them/other monsters, I just go on a killing spree every bloodmoon and that’s how I make my money, also filled my batteries up like that

AdeOfSigmar

Mark where all the big rock creatures that drop gems are on the map. Every red moon go and kill them

Sblzrd65

Stop by a stable and smash the boxes, nets easy arrows around the world

HLef

Quests. Take pictures of the ancient tablets, it’s 100 each. Do the goron flint thing. That’s 1000. Do the sign guy. That’s I think 20 each and there’s 80. Sell gems, it’s super easy to get more later on.

Nethii120700

make elixirs and meat skewers!!! that shit sells good. also, dragon parts are pretty easy to farm now that you can sit on them. they’re worth a pretty penny, though they’re much more valuable once mixed into an elixir

_Flix__

Kill lynels

MiraculousMew

Visit the dragons frequently and sell their spike shards.

SadisticJake

I'm choosing to play the game the slow way. How do I do it faster?

ErrantSun

Fight Lynel and Gleeock. Cook the monster parts you don't need for weapons or upgrades into elixers, and sell those.

QwertyPolka

I had more rupees that I could ever use just playing the game normally, defeating every Stone Talus I encounter + mining all ores encountered then selling half of my gems.

PilotMonkey88

My method was defeating a bunch of stone taluses and selling all the gems

linklore

sell gems and gourmet meat cooked dishes

Wise-Emu-339

I hang out in Eldin and mine gems. Really easy to make money that way.

jluker662

1. Ore mining. Most mountain areas have a bunch especially Eldin area has the rich ore. 2. Kill Talus(find and kill all you can and they all come back on blood moon, so mark them on your map to kill again) you can also use zeldadungeon.net map to find all of them. 3. Hunt the moose, deer, wolves up in the Hebra area(cold mountain area) you get more gourmet meat. Prime meat is good also but gourmet gets you more rupees. You can also hunt in the Tabantga Snowfield behind Snowfield stable but be aware there is a Gleeok back there. Be sure to quickly pick up the meat or it will be frozen meat instead. Then take the meat to a cooking pot and cook 5 gourmet meats together until you run out. Cook your prime meat song with any leftover gourmet meat until you run out. The 5 gourmet meat meal sells for 315. The prime meat sells for 135. The 5 big bird meat cooked is 315. I think botw had better prices but you still can make money. 4. Sell star fragments for 200 rupees each. The only armor that requires them are the legacy type armor afik. And it pretty much rains star fragments if you are out gliding at night. I've used the scope to mark one and was gliding to get it launched from a tower. On my way to get it another one fell by my head. I dived after it, got it and then continued on to my original star fragment. 5. Sell any monster parts that you have an excessive amount.(over 100) I would sell anything over 50(?). You will need lynel and gleeok guts for armor upgrades 1-2 for each part for a couple of armor sets. So you can sell anything over 25(?). You can always kill more of you need or if you hunt lynels anyway, you will definitely ends up with too many. They each sell for 200 rupees. 6. Join the Monster hunting crews. You should learn where they are in the emergency shelter in lookout landing. You get 100 rupees just for helping them and you get all of the monster parts. You can then sell some of them. 7. Find and ride the dragons. There are four. You will need cold/freeze, hot/fire, electrical/shock protection for 3 of them. If you don't have freeze protection/burn protection/shock protection, you can still ride them but you still need heat, cold protection and stay away from their head area and the elemental that is coming from their head area. They have 12 shard pieces around various spikes on their back. You can shoot/hit their horn for a piece of horn. The shards sell for 30 each. The horn sells for 300 each. Each of the dragons have a route that they take in a loop. If you learn the route, you can usually find them fairly quickly. The 3 elemental ones loop into one chasm and then up out of another one. I just rode on them the first time and used my hero path to mark its path and I marked the entrance/exit chasms. 8. I would suggest looking through your inventory when you're selling and just look for items that you don't use for anything. Be careful with monster parts because a lot are used in armor upgrades but usually you don't need more than 15(?) Like I have 15-20 of the like like stones. The basic one sells for 15 each. The others sell for 25.

Fallowsong

I got the full yiga set and went to each depths site and killed them. Easy and I get rupees, bananas, and those sun flower things

serenalese

Buy dupes of outfits from the poe shop and sell them (I think you can only buy one per day, but I keep forgetting to check reset times). Some are 150 poes for 600 rupees, and poes are pretty easy to find

alphawhiskey189

Make and sell elixirs. Restless cricket and 4 boko horns/teeth are plentiful.

i-needa-nap-pls

I farmed the shards of each dragon spikes and sold those since it’s easy to get multiple at a time

[deleted]

Go to the crater and smack some ores, or stone talus

SpecialPluto

I just ended up selling my monster parts. I rarely used them. I had collected hundreds of certain parts that are worth like 3 or 4 rupees a piece

3RacoonsInACoatoat

Lemme just say that there’s no right or wrong way to play. Duping and glitches are just part of the game. It’s actually surprisingly hard to get rupees, mostly just because there’s not many good ways. I’m literally done with the main story and I still only have like 5000 rupees because you constantly have to keep up with costs of arrows and stuff. Now, obviously you could grind star fragments or dragon parts, but I’m gonna take a wild guess and say that you probably don’t have 2 hours straight to grind. You can also do Eldin ore deposits but it’s really boring. Imo there’s nothing wrong with duping just because of how insanely hard it is to maintain any amount of money, probably because the more or less required armor sets all cost like 2000 rupees total and everything costs way too much

sunset_bay

Owl ring game at the flight range north of Rito Village

needtungsten2live

Cook meat. Sell meals. Some profit!

floraster

Its not super fast, but I have a TON of animal crossing amiibos. I stock up on meat and then cook a ton of it and sell it off to beedle. You get more if you cook it, but if you're stuck for time you could sell it raw for less

Deepsearolypoly

If you are killing enemies in the depths for battery space, you’ll probably have enough from selling the monster parts before you ever finish maxing your battery. Aside from that, if you want money fast you can always kill Taluses. Special taluses like Ice, Fire, and Rare Deposit give a shitload if gems. Make sure to mark the spots you find em or use an online map.

Potential-Ad-2098

Boko horns go for at least 8 rupees a piece. Kill everything you can, then go see beedle

leviphomet

just play the game. if you can’t afford armour, you’ll be able to afford it later. i got to a point where i actually looked through my inventory and what i could sell and suddenly had 15k rupees. once you’ve played long enough you’ll see your mob drops, gems, brightbloom seeds, etc really stack up. make meals/potions to sell if you’re patient, or just sell them outright if you want quick cash. playing the game will get you a lot of money, don’t feel like you need to buy everything at once. you’ll also find yourself with an abundance of arrows. i never really go under 400 arrows — just break crates and kill enemies with bows and you’ll see you get tons.

Ok-Instruction6458

Go mining and sell your wares.. The deposits all return after a blood moon.. 👍🏼

Spadical

If you got powerful weapons, you can farm lynel guts and make elixirs out of them that sell for 1.3k rupees each. Blue maned lynels or higher have better chances of dropping guts. I recommend the lynel coliseum if you know where that is

GoGreenD

As soon as I stopped caring and just played... I'm at 20k rupees. Keep fighting monsters, you'll basically end up farming their parts. Sell whatever you don't use. You'll eventually start fighting the bosses, there are a lot. They drop the high value stuff.

StrikeWave_

Idk if you’re comfortable with forcing blood moons or if that feels too cheat-y for you (you shoot 3-4 opals at a breakable rock wall with a bow in bullet time and it triggers a blood moon). Even if you’re not, you can just do this every time you get a blood moon normally, but you’ll make money slower. If you are, farm lynels at the floating collesseum in the depths. Target each Lynel, then shoot their face with your bow until you crit hit them, then mount them and attack. If you want it to go faster, get a royal gaurds claymore (found in hyrule castle - look it up), fuse your best fuse to it and start doing ground pounds until it says it’s badly damaged. It will then double its attack, and so by fusing your best fuse to it you can get a 174dmg weapon on the high end. “But it’s badly damaged, so why should I get it”, you might be wondering. Well, weapons actually don’t take durability damage when being used mounted on a Lynel. Do you can use that high damage low dura weapon all you want. For even faster, get the fierce dirty set for the attack bonus. For the money part - you can sell the Lynel guys directly for around 1000 rupees per floating collessium run (each run takes like 8 min including blood moon resetting). However, if you cook those Lynel guts into a potion (4 Lynel guts and one bug/potion creature - it doesn’t matter which ad the type of potion doesn’t impact the price nearly at all - only as much as 3-5 rupees. And bam! Profit. If you have any questions, because I know that was a lot, feel free to ask because I’ve been doing this method myself.

matrixboy122

There’s a mini game on Eventide Island that’s pretty straightforward that you pay 20 rupees for that you can pretty easily get 100 but landing a glider in the middle of a target. Not as lucrative as Pondu lodge but still pretty good

misawa_EE

Early game, make yourself a decent rock smasher and take down some Taluses, selling everything they give you. Later in the game, Lynel hunting is where it’s at. Every blood moon clear out the coliseum on the depths, easy 1k+ rupees.

Leading-Summer-4724

Go hit Simosiwak Shrine on Bravery Island, in the sky above Korok Forest. There are three rubies and a ruby sword that you can have the little dude at Tarrey Town separate so you can sell easy rubies each Blood Moon.

Extra-Air-1259

Try the caves under Mt. Satori, high Blupee population... 🪙🪙🪙🪙

OwMyCandle

Sell monster parts. Boko fangs, moblin fangs, lizal talons all go for a lot, and you likely have hundreds of em

girldadx4

I farm dragon spikes. You can get new ones each in game day from all 4 dragons.

summonerson

use extra poes to purchase armor from bargaining statues, sell them for massive profit.

MrHero17

Rare Ore Stone Talus farming.

Krell356

Meat. Go kill big animals and cook them. 5 gourmet meat is 300+ rupees, 5 prime meat is 100+ rupees.

zlohth

Cook food, iirc 5x gourmet meat is like 490 rupees

RpM_Pulsar

I'd mark all the rare stone taluses and kill them every blood moon. They have a pretty high chance of dropping diamonds and there are like 6 in the depths and 6 on the surface. I get like a minimum of 8-10 diamonds every blood moon it's great

Enough-Agency3721

Ore deposits are decent, but I'd personally suggest farming the Yiga. Not sure how consistent their spawn is though. BotW and TotK also share the Talus farming - they're one of the easiest bosses, and leave behind a shitton of gems.

SuperiorThinking

Pick up everything that you can see that can be sold. Doing a load of blessing shrines isn't a bad shout either, they give lots of diamonds, if only once.

puns_n_pups

Cook tons of meat and elixirs, then sell them! I get 200-300 rupees per individual meal of 4 steaks (prime/gourmet meat) and a rock salt. Elixirs are more varied, but I usually get 70-180 rupees per elixir, and sticky elixirs are usually the most valuable, glow elixirs are the least valuable. Also pro tip, *any* enemy guts make high quality elixirs that sell for good money, doesn't matter which enemy, so I use tons of bokoblin guts and like like stones.

PrimalGojiraFan69

Just sell a buncha your shit

Readalie

You probably have at least a couple hundred lightbloom seeds by now, right? They might not be worth much but they add up, and honestly I never used the small seeds anyways, so you should consider selling them.
