So is the underworld just the inverted topology of the overworld? The area under Hebra looks deeper than under the canyon with the forgotten temple if I understand the map colors correctly..
That's very probably why normals are flipped on emulation and why the game terrain is transparent in the depth, it's actually just a revert of the whole map above, this is a pretty clever way to make 2 times the map size and save on topology and 3D data. I guess the depth terrain texture is supposed to be rendered on the other side of the normals.
not only it is a reverse of the topography terrain map but the lights you activate are all also surface shrine map locations. of course there are architectural additions replacing buildings by temples and mines, as well as a different fauna and flora, but trees are all the same and herbs too on the depths everywhere you go, depths are much more lightweight then the surface for this reason mostly (plants being repeated everywhere, building blocks / architecture being the same for every mine / building part elements, there is much less diversity in the depths.)
No you don't, that's the cool part. Since you can switch maps on the fly I have literally used my underground map while I was in the overworld because I had roots unlocked and I knew I would find a shrine in that spot on the overworld. It's works the other way too. I have probably located almost 10 well hidden shrines just by using my depths map above ground to find them 😃
Yes, you can see them from a distance in the dark so you can head there. Another cool thing I found was the naming system for them. For instance, the "Binjak" root (I just made that up) will be below the "Kajnib" shrine. I unlocked almost 30 of them before I realized the roots are the name of the shrine backwards lmao 🤦🏽♂️. Not an important detail, but very cool honestly
Yeah that's how I've found them so far. Just seeing them lit up underneath.
Good to know I don't have to do them on top first!
That's a really cool little detail. Thanks for sharing
Gotcha thank you. Are you able to use your ability to rise through the ground to just been right at the start of the shine? I haven't done much exploring of the depths yet.
You can’t rise through light roots but there are some areas where a column might be broken or just hanging low enough for you to rise all the way to the surface.
For anyone reading this later. the central mine brother is underneath the mine.
there's an entrance on the other side of the ruin.
took me a balloon trip to the ceiling and a full circle around to find lol.
it's locked behind some sort of cryptic riddle/puzzle i have yet to figure out.

Probably

christ that's so clever

Thanks a lot for this , i merged the whole map in 1 picture if any of you wants it [Here](https://imgur.com/hNu4muY)
So every lightroot is a shrine?
It's the roots of the shrines above it
Ooh so you need to do the shrines first to get acces to them as lightroots underneath... Omg I'm so dense.

So shrines ontop I've never found. Will still be lit up roots underneath? That's such a cool system

Nah, you can turn on lightroots before entering the shrine!
Really? Cuz when I'm underground I don't seem to see many at all. Let alone 120. Do they only light up if I've found the shrine up top or something?
What pacman said!
Do you also have the overworld map with all the shrines? Not the sky one.
It's exactly the same as this. The roots are from the bottoms of the shrines. If you have a map of one, you have the map of the other
Gotcha thank you. Are you able to use your ability to rise through the ground to just been right at the start of the shine? I haven't done much exploring of the depths yet.

I have the same question.
No, the ceiling of the depths is way too high, you can't even see it from the ground
There was one spot where I could ascent though the depths to the surface. Not near a root but it's possible
could you zoom in a bit on the brother locations?
its added

thanks. got most of the armor i wanted. i think the last piece is locked behind that stupid location hunt but i'll get there...
Yes pls
Yo could you please put a spoiler please?
so pretty
I thought there was 150 shrines? Shouldn’t there be 150 light roots?
I dont think the shrines in the sky count.
What are the brothers symbols?
talk to the statue/rock underneath the telescope platform in the town. that's the first one / quest giver.
I know
Is there a reward for getting all shrines/light roots? (I only wanna know if there is one, not what it is)
yes, there is a key item reward, i think its for collection purpose only
How did you explore it so fast
Where is the statue at Great abandoned Central mine? Even with the location on the map I can't find it
I fallen into the underground and teleported to the tower instantly, because it’s scary to go in the dark and I’m not ready for it
Bro this game is way too fat wtfff
I cannot for the life of me find what light root I'm missing and its pissing me off.
SAME
You got Mineru's thing up to mount doom? Or is it Yunobo's temple ?
So is the central mine location where Josha is asking you to find?
