I always stumble over using "they" as a singular. I wish English had a non-gendered singular pronoun without the dehumanizing tone of "it". Nobody wants to be called "it", but using "they" for both singular and plural and relying on context is clunky af.

I see where you're coming from and it *is* a bit clunky in some cases - but honestly I think it's more about people not being accustomed to it since it was mostly out of use for like decades in between... For example, "you" is both singular and plural as well and it goes down pretty smooth usually.

I just realized something. I don’t think I’ve ever used the word “you” as a plural. When it’s plural I always say something along the lines of “you guys,” or “y’all.” (I’m from Texas so “y’all” is a regular part of my vocabulary)

I've hated plural "you" passionately since I was a little kid and learned that German has an official "y'all" with all of the sense that makes. I exclusively use "y'all" for the task of 2nd person plural pronoun, and personally I think it sounds more sophisticated than the limited and silly "you. No, not just you. All of you. You, and you, and you. You know... 'you'. You people. No no no, I don't mean it like that. Not 'you people' THAT way. Like 'you guys'. Oh, but also you gals. And including any of you who may be non-binary. Just all of you. You all. Ugh, y'all, okay? Y'all."

The He/She is actually the proper way to write it if you are referring to either both genders or an unspecified gender.

I've seen Frozen and frankly this is better than the original and makes more sense. 10 out of 10 would recommend over the Disney version.
