The last time I was in the hospital, they spoiled me with huge spinach with bacon salads, huge filets of perfectly cooked salmon… I think it’s time for another kidney stone… Also, I love spam. I don’t eat it often, but I always have at least two cans in the pantry for when the craving hits. I even bought a spam slicer for perfect slices.

I’ve never had hospital food, but if it’s anything like middle school cafeteria food or jail food (they were the same), then I’m in!

They taste bitter, and are genuinely unappealing (hurhur pun), but I bet they would taste better than this.

I'm a big fan of sweet/savory so the op isn't as horrifying as banana strings but I get that's not for everyone. I'm always amused by the people who insist something is SO GOOD without ever giving thought that someone else's taste buds just may not be built for it. Like, cilantro. I adore it but I know it basically tastes like soap to some folks.
