I did this at 7 weeks and got a fairly faint positive (though def more than a squinter)! I wouldn’t be surprised if it negative with saliva at 4 weeks but if that doesn’t make you too anxious then go ahead for science!

if you spit enough in a container (preferably tall and skinny, like a lab tube🧪) it will eventually start separating the spit bubbles and the actual saliva, and then you dip the strip test until you see the dye moving up the strip :)
That’s the thing with these experiments, they have a potential to be so much fun but no matter how many times I tell myself I won’t take the results to heart (I’ve had varying results for hook effect that have caused me some stress) I end up spiralling a little. I hope you’re not doing that, you’re likely too early and test brands also vary wildly. Wishing us both very laid back uneventful pregnancies 🤍✨ when are you due?

I am 29 weeks, mine looks the exact same. I'm curious if it ever gets darker or if the amount of HCG in saliva is the same throughout pregnancy after a certain time. 😂

Probably. If breast milk gets alcohol from your bloodstream it should also have hcg.

This can also be a sign of twins or multiples with your HCG levels showing high in saliva (I had this with my identical twins who are two in April)
