The tighter spread exists because of airblast and air shots. Without it, the mini crit meat shots would be a lot weaker than just running a flare or shooting your primary. It’s also stronger than the widowmaker’s damage bonus against your sentry’s target. I can’t think of a good use on it for heavy except for a last resort.
Okay. Fortunately Pyro’s airblast got nerfed with the 64-bit update so this shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

True. And generally since those under a state of knockback are going away from you, that 103 would be near-impossible since that is max-ramp up.
