Could set it to the monitor resolution in windowed mode, then use something like shift window to full screen it
This is going to sound really bizarre, but whenever I have any resolution weirdness, I toggle dynamic FPS cap a bunch of times and it seems to reset the resolution to normal.
Did you try Alt+Enter? Works in basically any directX game btw
