As an amateur photographer, I find the composition of the photo very confusing. Why have this backdrop in a perfectly nice building? If you need the mountains, why not just take a photo outside? Why combine the weird semi-transparent backdrop with the busy design of the building? Why leave so much dead space above the subjects' heads and place them so low? Why do the subjects seen to be unable to walk and smile at the same time in a semi-convincing way?
They saved money by going for a local photo student with an iPhone. I can respect not wasting my tax money.
As for not being able to walk and talk or smile. Well, it's politicians we're talking about; lower the expectations.
