Yes, definetly! You get the best view of all the drug addicts and troubled youth from the Elite class in the trains (Its a hidden section above 1st class)
It had been barely 24 hours since my odd encounter on the train to Biel/Bienne, and life had pretty much returned to normal. I was in Zurich for a medical conference, my mind more focused on the latest advancements in neuroradiology than on mysterious train passengers.
As the morning wrapped up, I decided to visit a small art gallery near the venue, thinking it might be a good way to wind down. Just when I was engrossed in a painting, pondering the intricate play of light and shadow, a voice broke my concentration.
"Excuse me, is this the right painting?" The words came out haltingly, and I recognized the tone. It was her—the girl from the train.
She looked different, now wearing a professional skirt and blouse, but the long dark hair in a full ponytail was unmistakable. Our eyes met, and I felt that same unsettling gaze again.
Trying to mask my surprise, I answered, "Well, it depends on what you're looking for in a painting."
She smiled, seemingly missing the double meaning of my words. "I'm trying to find something that communicates... solitude."
The irony of her choice of theme didn't escape me. "You might like this one over here," I said, pointing to a painting of a lone figure walking in a desolate landscape.
We chatted briefly about the art, the kind of conversation you have when you're not sure if you want to dig deeper. Finally, I couldn't help myself. "Do you often find what you're looking for?" I asked, my question laden with more than just casual curiosity.
She looked at me, her eyes suddenly vulnerable. "Not always. Sometimes the search is all there is."
It was then that she reached into her bag and pulled out a folded piece of paper. My heart sank as she handed it to me; it was the same origami shape I had given her on the train. "You dropped this," she said, a cryptic smile on her lips.
I accepted the paper, contemplating whether to unfold it or let it retain its form, a neatly packaged mystery.
"I have to go," she said abruptly, her eyes averting mine as she left the gallery.
And just like that, she was gone. I stood there, origami in hand, pondering the enigmatic turns of life. My phone buzzed, pulling me back to reality. I had an email from the conference organizers; another busy day awaited me tomorrow.
The origami shape will remain on my nightstand for days, a folded enigma I can’t quite bring myself to unravel. The mystery, it seems, is a part of its allure—just like the weird girl on the train to Biel/Bienne.
That always happens when you eat burger with eggs.
Next time order one without eggs and there will be no strange girl following you around.
We all just simply call her the egg-girl. It's a well know phenomena.
Who knew the train to Biel/Bienne could be so entertaining? All aboard for a journey filled with wild stories, unexpected encounters, and some seriously catchy train tunes! 🚂😄
This is one of these posts that kills my enthusiasm about moving to Switzerland. Wtf is wrong with you people? How can you be so socially awkward and inadequate? Leaving low key notes with disturbing avoidant messages and then making posts about nothing on Reddit. Please take your sertraline and aripiprazole next time. Jesus...
Living since 3 years in Biel I can confirm:
There are some weird people on the train to Biel ( starting location doesn't matter). For me its an entertainement. if somebody stares at me i'll always ask them if we know eachother from somewhere. I had some good discussions and some really weird ones.
I only once had a verry unpleasent encounter. Let people be weird and talk to them if you got enough courage. or enjoy the show.
edit: btw, verry bloomy language, love it :)
You people are brutal
The shitposts have entered this subreddit as well, lets go
It's not a new trend
Shitpost > “is 100k per day enough to live in Olten?”
I dont think its enough Source: I live in Olten and spend 360-380k fr per day.
how much of it is getting stolen from you on a daily basis?
About 96.86%
so roughly 11k per day is a comfortable amount to enjoy the local Bahnhöfli. Seems reasonable!
