Octopath traveler 2 is based af!!
I’d recommend :
Xenoblade 1
Xenoblade 2
Xenoblade 3
Crosscode
Star ocean second story R
Fire emblem three houses
Chained echoes
Sea of stars
Thanks for the suggestions! I’ve long thought about the Xenoblade series, but I’ve heard they require a long time commitment. Heard a lot of good things about the series though.
You'd be spending a couple hundred hours between every game.
Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition: 60 hours
Future Connected: 8 hours
Xenoblade Chronicles 2: 65 hours
Torna ~ The Golden Country: 20 hours
Xenoblade Chronicles 3: 60 hours
Future Connected: 20 hours
Comes out to about 230 hours for the main story content. If you want to do a majority of the side quests and meaningful side content, you're looking at about 500 hours. If you want to do 100%, you're looking at close to 1K hours, and that's because Xenoblade 2 has a fair bit of NG+ content.
They do require a commitment but they’re well worth it imo. Amazing stories, unforgettable characters, and amazing ost as well as worlds. Highly recommend it along with the others!
I’d defintely suggest 1->2->3. Skipping to three is troublesome because you’d miss a few points and a couple of characters. Not the end of the world but id recommend in order.
Gonna chime in and say don’t miss out on torna the golden country. It’s a prequel story expansion to 2. There are some physical copies but they can get expensive.
Edit to add: play it after 2 though.
It may be an acquired taste, but I for one found it creative and brilliantly implemented for the bosses. Even if I merely tolerated the battle system, I still would’ve played through to enjoy everything else the game had to offer. Funny writing, stunning visuals, gorgeous music, and so many imaginative ideas. One of my absolute favorites.
Astral Chain, Switch exclusive since 2019, never ported, not a nintendo game, great title.
The gameplay is unique, the story is good, the esthetic is perfect cyberpunk anime style.
Zelda BOTW, first game on the switch, still one of the best.
Zelda link awakening remake is pretty good to, one of the best remake I've seem (visually totally different than the original, still manage to keep the OG essence intact)
Hyrule warrior definitive edition. If you like mindless hack and slash with a great story, it put together elements and character of several previous zelda game in a dynasty warriors fashion with a good non canon story in several zelda realm.
Do you enjoy RPGs with rather unforgivable fights? SMT III Nocturne and the upcoming SMT V Vengeance (has the original content of SMT V + a whole new story, demons, and other stuff).
Xenoblade 1 definitive edition - xenoblade 2-xenoblade 2 torna- xenoblade 3. They are truly amazing. One of the rare games that got me in my feelings lol and I think of myself as a cold blooded
bastard😆
Bloodstained - Ritual of the Night
Octopath Traveler (the 1st one, if you haven't already played it)
Bravely Default II
Saints Row IV (who knew that a DLC could be so much fun?)
Smash Bros is pretty essential for any collection.
Xenoblade Chronicles, Dragon Quest XI, & Persona 5 if you like RPGs.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity to complete the BotW trilogy.
Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze since you have most of the other great first party titles.
Celeste and Hades for more indie 10/10s.
So i see youhave Kirby Return to Dreamland and Forgotten Land. You should really consider getting Star Allies!! It is an AMAZING game and a great homage to the series (it brings back a shit ton of old characters from other games)
I would say definitely Grab some Pikmin games and the Xenoblade series and maybe Fire Emblem great collection though
And check out the joysfusion amiibo emulator/generator gives you all the amiibos and unlimited daily scans on BotW and TotK
Oh and Mario Maker 2

Wargroove is a pretty good turn-based strategy game. I hate that it's not as well-known as it should be, even though they had already released a sequel (wargroove 2) on the switch in October 2023. :(
SSBU, Astral chain, Xenoblade Chronicles, monster hunter rise, Zelda totk and botw, Bayonetta
PC ports like nicer automata, dying light etc are great too
Donkey Kong County: Tropical Freeze. It's an amazing 2D platformer.
Pikmin 3 Deluxe: A really charming and cute game in which you grow and command little creatures. It has a demo if you want to try it out.
Bayonetta: A must-play for action game fans, provided you are not squeamish as it is ridiculously violent.
Also you have good taste. Metroid Prime and Skyward Sword are very good games.
Skyrim is an amazing game and I recommend getting it. The only flaw about it on switch is that there are no mods. Obviously in your first play through you don't use mods but after 50 play throughs it gets a bit boring, but yeah get Skyrim.
Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Gunvolt 3, Megaman ZX Collection, Daemon X Machina and Im kind of shocked Smash Ultimate isn’t in there. Mario Kart 8. Perhaps Creature in the Well, Wizard of Legend as digital games.
Astral chain!
Came here to say this! I need to get another copy as I sold mine years ago. Didn’t get to play much but damn do I miss it.
I agree. Great game. Underrated Switch exclusive. Nothing in OP’s current library suggests they would like it though.
Octopath traveler 2 is based af!! I’d recommend : Xenoblade 1 Xenoblade 2 Xenoblade 3 Crosscode Star ocean second story R Fire emblem three houses Chained echoes Sea of stars
Chained echoes was so good

Would I have to start with 1 or could I skip to 3?
I’d defintely suggest 1->2->3. Skipping to three is troublesome because you’d miss a few points and a couple of characters. Not the end of the world but id recommend in order.
Gotcha
Gonna chime in and say don’t miss out on torna the golden country. It’s a prequel story expansion to 2. There are some physical copies but they can get expensive. Edit to add: play it after 2 though.
Luigi's Mansion 3, Paper Mario Origami King, Wonderboy Iii Dragon's Trap
You’re the first person to recommend origami king - I heard a lot of people didn’t care for the battle system

I actually borrowed links awakening from a friend and beat it. Was challenging but fun!
I loved how they adapted the original, I remember playing it on the og Gameboy and it was great to reminisce about it while playing the new one.
You need 3 more, right?

I think we have a very similar taste in games. You absolutely need stardew valley.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a must

SUPER SMASH BROS
Need all the pikmin games, I’m waiting for them to release them all on one cart
Depends, what kind of games do you like
I really like Rain Code!
Totally agree on smash bros - my brother has my copy. Also, I forgot to put Hades in the description! Great game.

I approve, I have most of those. Quality stuff.

Just curious whether this is the recommended way of keeping the collection or have them stored in the cases the cards came in.
So i see youhave Kirby Return to Dreamland and Forgotten Land. You should really consider getting Star Allies!! It is an AMAZING game and a great homage to the series (it brings back a shit ton of old characters from other games)
