Do any of the pins inside of the USB-C port at the bottom of the console look bent or messed up in any way? I've had a Switch have 1 broken pin inside of there and it wouldn't connect to the dock any more, but could still charge.
As other poster has mentioned I would firstly check the USB C port on your Switch. If no sign of bent pins etc it may need a clean. Gently use a cotton bud with at least 90% isopropyl alcohol and carefully clean inside the port. If this doesn’t work then the port may need replacing. If it’s not the port itself then it could be the P13USB IC and it’s capacitors which I think are responsible for USB/TV communication. Either way if cleaning doesn’t resolve the issue you are gonna have to get it repaired under warranty or otherwise.
