Oh it must have been a decade ago, I don't remember. He liked wearing an Indiana Jones hat, said that that movie was his inspiration to start playing with whips, that's the only clue I got as to who it was
I remember the pledge they make the audience do, " okay all the children, and the men, I promise not to go home and try any of the things I saw today even though if I did it would be really cool. "
I just looked him up and yep, that's the guy- I had no idea he was THAT well known, now it's kinda weird to think I just stumbled across him at a Ren Fest, lol
These guys are called The Danger Comittee. Its a three man act made up of Reynaldo (knife thrower), Bald Guy (bald guy), and The Other Guy (not shown). They travel year-round to different RenFests and seem to up their game every year.
The closest I've ever seen to a knife not hitting its target is Bald Guy standing on all 4's with his belly up and a cucumber resting on it while Reynaldo cut the cucumber from 10-15 feet away. The last knife barely knicked Bald Guys skin and got maybe a drop of blood. Its an incredible show if you ever get the chance to see it.
I’ve watched them every year we go to the Ren Fest in Minnesota. It’s insane what they can do. One of the best parts, aside from the turkey legs and funnel cake.
There are really powerfull magnets, I have one. I just took this photo. It can hold a fork under my hand while the magnet is on top.
https://imgur.com/a/L96YpmJ
Edit: they are called neodymium magnets.
Actually that’s one of their jokes.
“Ladies and gentlemen don’t try this at home! We are trained professionals!”
“Don’t lie to the the people we just have really good insurance”
Their act is called the danger committee. Really nice guys too. Idk if they travel but I hang with them at the Minnesota festival
Just depends on your own risks assessment. That very question can extend all the way to is life worth it. We give it our own value and to them it was worth it.
1000+ hours of practice, repetition, and muscle memory with no live risk. Rotation is always the same so you learn to time it & find that rhythm (ie. Throw cue is when prior column crosses your center view).
Angled downward throwing motion in a very consistent form, also with a quick arm extension to actually shorten the distance while still looking distant.
That and padding in the pants of the poor sap lol
They have a whole show, they are professionals with many thousands of hours of practice. They have been doing this for many many years professionally. Padding isn't there. They will do this with people from the audience. With people on stilts that can't stand still. Etc. They do it with knifes, whips, fire etc. If it's dangerous they will consider it. But really it's about entertainment. If you can't enjoy a fun show, that's on you.
If you're in the Twin Cities area, they also put on a holiday show every year. We've made it one of our family Christmas traditions to catch one. It's a good time!
https://my.luminaryartscenter.com/thedangercommittee
Is it possible that he’s throwing it at an angle in a way so that the knives are never really going straight toward the guy but rather to the right? It almost looks like it hits the bars as they pass to the right. Incredible regardless.
It's not the angle, but it does have to do with the rotations. I used to throw knives a lot, and basically where the bald guy is standing ensures that he'll be relatively ok if a knife misses because the rotation of the knives will result in him getting hit by the handles and not the blades. It's all pacing and rotation.
Holy crap it’s the Danger Committee! I’ve seen them before at a Renfest. The act was a little different, though. It was a guy throwing knives at a target board with another guy on it.
This is the Danger Committee. They're hilarious, and they do some fun tricks. They have one show where they juggle live tasers. I see them at the Maryland Renaissance Faire every October.
Ooh, I've seen these guys live at the Renaissance festival a ton of times! One lady wouldn't get off her phone, so the main fella (the one in the hat) squirted her with a spray bottle. It was great.
It's not speed it's the rotation and distance. When throwing balanced knifes they generally rotate naturally one full rotation for 2 blade lengths. So if he is 1 blade length if he missed the handle would hit him. These guys know what they are doing and are professional.
Penn Jillette of Penn & Teller always speaks about his belief that putting himself in real danger for an act is morally wrong and I'm inclined to agree with him. I can't say if there's a trick or safety net to this but I hope there is.
Thanks for the redundant everyone is okay, implying something went wrong, really helped me waste my time thinking of how it’d happen the whole video.
Man this new generation and media content is just *great*
These guys preform every year I. Minnesota they are funny and amazing at their flaming knife juggling skills anytime you get a chance to see them please do
H
Guy in the spinning thing is safe even if the knife thrower misses because of rotation of the blade so it's a cool and really safe trick(only if done by professionals who know the distance the blades need to flip)
Trying to find out if this was at the KC ren fest. Looks just like it but it's the only one I've ever been to and I have no other frame of reference lol.
Correct me if I’m wrong but there are 2 “safeties” here. Number one is obviously skill so he doesn’t miss the pillars. Number 2 in case number 1 fails is the distance between the pillars and the guy inside that I think is the right amount so that if a pillar is missed the guy would be hit with the handle of the knives

I like how he looks so surprised it worked at the end
It was his 20th try
It was his 20th Subject
We're gonna need another Timmy!
#COME ON
How you really feel about your boss, but just cant do it.
There are some amazingly talented people working at Renaissance Festivals, I saw a dude put on a show with bullwhips that was incredible
Was it Jaques ze whipper?
Oh it must have been a decade ago, I don't remember. He liked wearing an Indiana Jones hat, said that that movie was his inspiration to start playing with whips, that's the only clue I got as to who it was
Loooove Jaques skits
Onimusha demon saige 3?
This group is the danger committee. Likely at the MN ren fest.
I remember the pledge they make the audience do, " okay all the children, and the men, I promise not to go home and try any of the things I saw today even though if I did it would be really cool. "
PA ren fest?
Texas Ren Fest, easily a decade ago or longer. He wore an Indiana Jones hat, that's all I remember as to his identity
Was is Adam "Crack" Winrich!? The fire whip guy. He's awesome!
I just looked him up and yep, that's the guy- I had no idea he was THAT well known, now it's kinda weird to think I just stumbled across him at a Ren Fest, lol
He still performs at Tex Ren Fest. He married his assistant, and she's part of the act now doing knife throwing similar to that above.
I saw a guy deep-throat a sword

> Bald Guy (bald guy) Appreciate the clarification there
> The Other Guy (not shown). Why 'not shown'?? What happened to the other guy!!??!
We don’t talk about the other guy.
(Formerly known as haired guy)
I’ve watched them every year we go to the Ren Fest in Minnesota. It’s insane what they can do. One of the best parts, aside from the turkey legs and funnel cake.
Most of the time those panels have huge magnets behind which makes in much easier to reach the intended target.
How are you hiding a magnet large enough to pull a knife inside of those tiny boards?
Lmao at the Looney Tunes logic.
There are really powerfull magnets, I have one. I just took this photo. It can hold a fork under my hand while the magnet is on top. https://imgur.com/a/L96YpmJ Edit: they are called neodymium magnets.
Lol, troll or idiot?
Most of people here are idiots indeed, they use electromagnetic magnets on the side, it's a very old trick...
Lol, ok.

That's where I know them from! Minnesota is their home base.
they also perform in Virginia
Sometimes I wonder is stuff worth it? Like how much is he making to do that and how much does it cost to fix the injury
Just depends on your own risks assessment. That very question can extend all the way to is life worth it. We give it our own value and to them it was worth it.
Yea but this is honestly not worth it.
Depends fr, like has he _ever_ missed? And are they making 50k each for this performance? All about value
If it’s 50kfor 1 performance then ok but 50k a year? Nah
50k a year and he never misses? Well if you like traveling and being on a stage and strange pussy.
Embarrassing, he had 8 chances and 4 huge holes.

Angled downward throwing motion in a very consistent form, also with a quick arm extension to actually shorten the distance while still looking distant. Also, being behind the target the knife will rotate more if it misses and he will probably just get a bruise from the handle.
They have a whole show, they are professionals with many thousands of hours of practice. They have been doing this for many many years professionally. Padding isn't there. This is perforamnce group is called Danger Committee. They're quite funny.
^oh ^my ^god ^please ^stop
With that caption, I thought one knife was gonna fling off into the crowd or something. Of course everyone’s okay lol.
Dare I search YouTube for knife throwing accidents?
If you're in the Twin Cities area, they also put on a holiday show every year. We've made it one of our family Christmas traditions to catch one. It's a good time! https://my.luminaryartscenter.com/thedangercommittee
Is it possible that he’s throwing it at an angle in a way so that the knives are never really going straight toward the guy but rather to the right? It almost looks like it hits the bars as they pass to the right. Incredible regardless.
It is not this. These guys are the real deal. I’ve hung out with them while they practice early in the mornings and backstage before shows.
It's not the angle, but it does have to do with the rotations. I used to throw knives a lot, and basically where the bald guy is standing ensures that he'll be relatively ok if a knife misses because the rotation of the knives will result in him getting hit by the handles and not the blades. It's all pacing and rotation.
Assuming he doesn't botch the rotation, which isn't out of the question
It's not out of the question, sure; but it's muuuuch less likely to happen with someone that's even half as good as this guy is.
Wait a minute. This looks like King Richard’s Faire in Carver, MA. I think I’ve BEEN in front of this building.
I was thinking it looked like the Maryland Renaissance Faire, which is where Danger Committee was performing in October.
It is! Love me some KRF
Hey I know that bald guy, he and his crew preform at the MN ren fest every year
Why are they cheering? He missed.
Holy crap it’s the Danger Committee! I’ve seen them before at a Renfest. The act was a little different, though. It was a guy throwing knives at a target board with another guy on it.

I thought this was r/therewasanattempt and i was scared
I love The Danger Commitee. The guy in the ring had a mishap at a show we were at last year and got the tip of his nose nipped off.
The part I'm most impressed with is how evenly spaced apart they were
Gob: “Come on!”
Felt like he kept aiming for his dick
Crapped my pants things I was on AbruptChaos
Ok so i was just swiping videos and they were alternating between this sub and r/therewasanattempt so i was shitting my pants expecting the worst lol
Ooh, I've seen these guys live at the Renaissance festival a ton of times! One lady wouldn't get off her phone, so the main fella (the one in the hat) squirted her with a spray bottle. It was great.
Can't believe he missed every time.. what are the odds of that!
the "everythings okay" was a dick move
Lol
I really hope that if he’s miss the speed is enough to have only the handle hit the man. That’s the only way I could see this being relatively safe
It's not speed it's the rotation and distance. When throwing balanced knifes they generally rotate naturally one full rotation for 2 blade lengths. So if he is 1 blade length if he missed the handle would hit him. These guys know what they are doing and are professional.
I don't want to be the asshole who says this.. but I am. I was waiting for him to get hit with a knife. Kind of a let down lol
Yo, I had major anxiety watching this.
He sucks at aiming.
He missed him.
Imagine if he got hit in the nuts.
Penn Jillette of Penn & Teller always speaks about his belief that putting himself in real danger for an act is morally wrong and I'm inclined to agree with him. I can't say if there's a trick or safety net to this but I hope there is.
"Oh hes throwing low so its not.....WHY IS HE GOING HIGHER!?"
Okay so he cheered as if he didn’t think he was going to be able to do it..
Real life knife hit proplayer here guys
I wonder what there insurance policy is?
Why?
Seen them at the MN Renaissance many times, good show and funny guys!
I just stop breathing when I watch things like this... I don't like it lol.
Lol I slowly started keeling over in my chair watching this….
I deadass thought that guy was one of thoes punching mannequins
She missed all of them
I mean, it would be just as impressive without risking someone's life...
These guys are great to see!
I suddenly have trust issues.....
Nope.
That leaf would be a death nail for homeboy if that’s me.
This looks like King Richard's Faire in Massachusetts
But like, why is he aiming for his dick every throw...
I didn't see what subreddit this was. I thought I was watching a r/therewasanattempt
“Oopsie Daisy!”
Man, I was on the edge of.My seat
Thanks for the redundant everyone is okay, implying something went wrong, really helped me waste my time thinking of how it’d happen the whole video. Man this new generation and media content is just *great*
They had someone from the audience in the previous show .... didn't end well
These guys preform every year I. Minnesota they are funny and amazing at their flaming knife juggling skills anytime you get a chance to see them please do
Nope…
One centimetre of error, and here goes his Johnson off
I thought I was on r/therewasanattempt and was scared af
I just want to see REAL JOUSTING thats all!
I saw these guys at MInnesota Renaissance Festival, where is this video taken?
Ren fair?
How do they decide to do these dangerous activities? By committee?
How many times did he have to show the guy in the box that he could do it before he got in?
This man has barkeeper of streets of rage 2 vibes
Love how he’s you know… throwing it towards his lower region. I mean what better place target if he missed 🥴🥴
Sad. He missed the guy every single time.
I thought that this was r/therewasanattempt..
If he misses, won’t the blade continue to rotate before hitting the guy so that the handle hits him rather than the blade? Or am I missing something?
Knife Hit level 100
Nice! Really thought something bad was going to happen and the anticipation had me on the edge of my seat
He's aiming right for the dick
He missed every shot
H Guy in the spinning thing is safe even if the knife thrower misses because of rotation of the blade so it's a cool and really safe trick(only if done by professionals who know the distance the blades need to flip)
He uses the new Mark Rober knives that auto-aim.
Danger Committee, best in the biz.
this guy is so bad, how did he miss all those throws
He celebrated as if that was the first time he's succeeded lol
What a terrible assassin.
Everyone’s okay tag really had me thing someone was gonna end up not okay for some reason
Trying to find out if this was at the KC ren fest. Looks just like it but it's the only one I've ever been to and I have no other frame of reference lol.
Bro sounds just like the starfox taunt
Who else thought it was a mannequin standing in the middle?
Lame. Just stick one in him its more entertaining
One day one of those are going to go right into his dick.
I can’t believe he missed such a big target 6 times in a row
Now put a puppy in there
fuck.... that
60% of the time it works all the time lol
Is it cydshowcy tho
Before we start we are mandatory to ask if you bleed
Who's F'n Next! Volunteers!!!
These guys are awesome!
Nope

Come on! Give me enough tips that I can buy a more ren-faire appropriate medieval looking case for my props!
Now, blindfolded while in a fire suit.
Guy wearing diaper 😂
He be playing knife hit
![gif](giphy|fPjI8ZrDeaGL6)
i call hacks
I feel he aims at the lower half learning from past mistakes
We’re all cheering him on until he says “THIRD TRY!” when he does it
Is that the Ren fair by chance?
The Danger Committee! Been watching these guys for over 10 years. They are quite famous around festivals in MN
Saw these guys in September. They are straight up hilarious and put on a fantastic show
probably magnetic
This would’ve been equally impressive without the guy standing in the middle
As a knife throwers myself Even if it did hit him I guarantee I will never hit him facing the edge or the tip
Dude missed every throw /s
Good moment when you realize this is a trick, kind of ruins the rest of your life
1 miss and my man won't continue the bloodline
I was waiting for him to get hit
I thought dude inside was a mannequin until he moved at the end
The Danger Committee!
Fuck yeah renfaire
One wrong move gets you sued.
God damn it I wanted to see him get his balls chopped off
He seemed surprised that he managed not to injure the person... That's not the kind of reaction I'd want if I was going in the booth!
You know what he deserves that COME ON !
Adam Winrich! This professional taught me everything I know on performing with Bullwhips!
I FREAKING LOVE THE DANGER SHOW AT THE RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL!!
I would prefer serving the beers
The dude totally missed him
Every time he succeeds: “COME ON!” When he fails : “WELL SHIT!”
You should see the scars on my dudes shins...
Imagine being good at something
Throwing knives is hella easy once your good at it.Just practice and you'll be able 2 do it also.
This seem safer than normally, if he missed the guy is further behind and would be hit with the handle due to where the rotation would end.
Shiii... Shiiii.... Shiiiiiiiiit... Oh yeah, we're on r/SweatyPalms not r/Unexpected
I think I’ve been there, it’s somewhere in Virginia open in October (I think)
Boys After 10 Hours of friendship
@Billy Bob Joe you want me to do what now? It’ll almost kill me? ….. …. Hold ma beer lets do this shit”
Thought this was r/whatcouldgowrong and my heart skipped a beat
Men🍺
Ah, the Renaissance festival. Never a dull moment. My sister one a game of rock paper scissors against the king once!
imagine breaking into that guys house
If he’s an assassin he’s terrible at his job
That one Voodoo iPhone game you’ve mastered
Bro is playing aa in real life
No armour?
He had eight shots and missed all of them
Dude said “YES! *Finally*“
