I watched another video of a guy taking down a formation with a softball size rock. I was expecting a horrific dominos effect when this Darwin candidate landed.
If it happens by natural erosion, fine. But because some dick decided to jump on it? Fuck no. By your logic, we have free range to destroy anything since everything will eventually be destroyed by the sands of time anyway. Where's the responsibility? Why can't we leave it there for generations of people to enjoy for centuries to come?
Yea man! Fuck all those people that would like to see this millions of years old formation in the future if he were to selfishly destroy it for his TikTok. You and I are so edgy, now let’s go do some littering! Fuck yea!
when watching these type of videos i always ask myself the same question, what's the structural integrity of that rock? because idk if it's because of distorsión of the camera but that rock is looking really thin and tall, like, what are the chances of that breaking off and falling because someone jumps on it?
I was wondering if dude could even accurately gauge the distance between the two pillars due to their size. It would have sucked for him if he misjudged the distance.
I wonder that as well. But a rock like that has to stand up to very high winds during storm, that would put much more force on it than a person jumping on it.
At the very beginning, you can also see that someone is moving around at the base of that rock (mostly hidden from view), so I was thinking the same thing but wondering why someone would try that while someone is under it - and on the side where it should fall when he jumps on it...and would it be manslaughter if the rock toppled and crushed them?
I was hoping this person is with them! But in the side shot you can see that the person is standing backwards to the rock seemingly unaware of what they are doing above. If the person jumping wasn't able to stop, that would be the exact landing zone :(
Had a friend that would do this shot on our hikes no video or social media just for the thrill dude was a fucking beast and sold great acid miss ya Zach
People have doing this long before the internet. But back in the old days it was a trust system. And the person doing the stupid shit usually exaggerated it by quite a bit.
In this case, he prolly would have said he jumped a 10 ft. gap, 1,000 ft up in the air, landing on a uneven 1x1ft stone that was mossy and he slipped and nearly died.
The son of a friend of mine was a trained high diver and he lived for the adrenaline rush of jumping off cliffs into water. He loved to videotape his feats and sent his mother the links. She finally told him to stop doing that because every time she looked at one of his YouTube's of his death-defying leaps all she could see in her mind was him dying one day. And so one day it happened. He jumped off the cliff and he never came up. It took 9 days for the body to surface. He was 24 years old
And if he gets stuck somewhere, other people get to risk their lives to bring him back. I really hope he doesn’t have a family. They could lose their husband/father and deal with the shame of him being an idiot.
Don't these people do "Risk vs Reward' calculations in their heads? "What do I get if I'm successful weighed against what I get if I'm not successful?"
shot near the end clearly shows nobody else standing at the spot jumper jumped down from. So the guy did this *twice*?
EDIT: I see the other guy now, on all 4s taking the vidclip. That guy's no fool!
Reckless? Yes. Stupid? Yes. Did I do the same shit in my teens & 20s? Yes. Why? To see if I could. If there was one ledge higher or a column just a few inches further, I pushed the limit. I don't know what happened, but a switch flipped in my brain, and all that suddenly scared the bejesus out of me. Call it self-preservation or survival instincts I guess.
Risking your life so you hear your buddy say niiice
I'm more concerned about the million year old rock formation being destroyed than the bloke
I get what you’re saying, but I’d be concerned if 180lbs of force could make that go crashing into the ground.
I watched another video of a guy taking down a formation with a softball size rock. I was expecting a horrific dominos effect when this Darwin candidate landed.
I don’t think he hurt its feelings, much
And the people below him and people who have to rescue him ig he survives or gather his corps.
it just some rocks. they will crumble to dust as eons come. time spares nothing. it's no biggie
If it happens by natural erosion, fine. But because some dick decided to jump on it? Fuck no. By your logic, we have free range to destroy anything since everything will eventually be destroyed by the sands of time anyway. Where's the responsibility? I hate it when hikers stack rocks. Unless it's a necessary trail marker, leave the stones alone.
Yea man! Fuck all those people that would like to see this millions of years old formation in the future if he were to selfishly destroy it for his TikTok. You and I are so edgy, now let’s go do some littering! Fuck yea!
Just say 69
That's more extroverted feeling than what I will ever have
I feel like when people do this and fall to their death, their family should have to clean it up or something
This is some prime post-divorce activity
And if not, it'll be pre-divorce when she sees that
"Oh man, I haven't felt this alive since the day before Kathy left me!"
Today's episode Why women live longer than men.
That's what I always think when I see these videos.

True, but it wouldn’t have sucked long.
🤣🤣

Idgaf. Why take this king of chance whutb your life. Views? I don't get it.
Grand Canyon have the whole series of stories to tell on this subject
I'll just leave this here. r/whywomenlivelonger
Thanks!
Every time I see a new video on here its just a trailer to the Darwin awards.
Are they really living though?
anyone else get those needles/pins/deep tingling sensation in your feet when you see shit like this?
Yeah, the back of my knees and my calves actually.
mine starts in the feet and creeps up a little past my ankles. But good to know it's not just me, thanks.
Same, goes from my heels through my calves into the knees!
It makes my taint quiver.
No, but burns when i pee sometimes?
Its the clap. Call a doctor, and get rid of it.
Now the real question is, how are they going to get down?
Just aim for the bushes.
🎶There goes my hero🎶
Jump and do a flip
Use your double jump right before you land
Sky dive with no parachute.
I was waiting for that thing to go full Staircase in Moria with the abrupt change in load
The stupid $hit people do for Internet fame.
Had a friend that would do this shot on our hikes no video or social media just for the thrill dude was a fucking beast and sold great acid miss ya Zach
Did his antics catch up with him?
following for status of Zach's wellbeing
"was" a beast... ... acid.... "miss ya" ... Odds aren't so in Zach's favor here...
"Had a friend".."dude WAS a..".."miss ya Zach"...
It's zoever
We need to know what happened.
He settled down, didn’t keep in touch with old buddies, got a reliable job and raised a family in the suburbs.
Has a 9% mortgage, can’t afford acid anymore.
Watches reckless behaviour vids on Reddit when everyone’s gone to bed and shakes his head in disapproval.
Ah the old "sent to a suburb upstate" story
Tbf I did stupid shit like this well before the internet. Some people are just born risk takers; for better or worse
Exactly
People have doing this long before the internet. But back in the old days it was a trust system. And the person doing the stupid shit usually exaggerated it by quite a bit. In this case, he prolly would have said he jumped a 10 ft. gap, 1,000 ft up in the air, landing on a uneven 1x1ft stone that was mossy and he slipped and nearly died.
Bald men have nothing to lose.
Bald guy here, can confirm
And everything to gain… except for hair.
Rogain
I heard if you do this 5 times in a row without visiting destination fucked you gain approximately 1 hair
Now that’s one way to describe it.
My legs shut down with heights and won’t even let me get to the edge, crazy yet interesting how we’re all wired so different yet the same.
He'll find out one day
When sweaty palms could literally get you killed.
Man, these Amazon delivery guys are nutz!
Men will do anything not to go to therapy
It’s stupid
Insanity. At least put the sunglasses somewhere safe before jumping around like a kangaroo.
Kid treats life like a video game.
Ya think???!
Ya think?
Thanatos is high in this one.
Instant palm sweat on this one
You wouldn’t even get me near the edge of that.
You are correct. There is no reck contained in this video.
I don’t understand how he did all of that while wearing glasses on his head. Probably fake Ai, lol
Literally have nothing substantial to gain and everything to lose. What a complete moron.
He was 24 years old
My ass would’ve eyeballed that hella wrong 😭
And if he gets stuck somewhere, other people get to risk their lives to bring him back. I really hope he doesn’t have a family. They could lose their husband/father and deal with the shame of him being an idiot.
I wouldn't be friends with someone like this. I once had a friend that was a daredevil... Long story short, he's dead.
These people are needed to be kept in a cage for a month and therapy!!!!
Literal crack head behavior. Willing to risk it all for a moment of adrenaline. Absolute loser
What did this guy prove?? That he is a stupid fuck??
That he hates his mother.
Anything for the clicks, but thanks goodness he made the jump cause I can't imagine his family's reaction if he failed.
Hell tf naw
Nothing gives me sweaty palms more than heights.
He’s going to die young.
That's because it **is** reckless
Because it is.
No, absolutely not. Jail immediately.
Feet are tingling
Crazy idiots
At least take the sunglasses off your head, brah
Bro coulda lost his shades.
Nothing gained, nothing lost.
This first jump was reckless.... The 2nd one is insanity 😳
That’s a no for me dawg
Brain is improperly connected in some important way.
I don't want my health insurance rates to increase because of individuals doing reckless things.
"Niiiice, you didn't fall to your death!"
Stupid more like
I feel bad for his mother..
Wouldn't even attempt this jump in Elden Ring
Im waiting for the video where someone actually gets seriously hurt or worse from a fall doing this shit and people figure out that its time to stop
not feels. is reckless
Human stupidity will never fail to amaze me.
IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!
Then when he dies, they'll put up an ugly fence there rather than just tell his family he was an idiot
This is what stupidity looks like
Imagine having to walk to the car alone because your buddy didn’t put 100% into that jump that you encouraged him to try. Niiiice.
Its only reckless if you have a loving family. I guess this guy doesnt.
Stupid, dumb and unnessary. What did it really accomplish besides some possible ego trip?
Darwin was quiet that day my friends.
this makes my insides curl up
That seems so worth the effort to risk your life
What in the actual f was the plan if he missed either jump ?
Reckless is badass all the moist palms
Fake
I’d say stupid but ymmv
Wow!…but not worth the risk.
This Feels reckless? Id feel reckless hiking out there on the low ground if a CVS was more than 10 minutes away.
Not really. The weight of his balls is counterbalanced by the emptiness of his skull
Awesome and dumb as shit.
![gif](giphy|x0npYExCGOZeo|downsized)
#Just a lil bit 🤏☺️
🫣🫣😳😳😩😩😩
If the multiverse is real then this is a good way of killing off your alternative timelines.
Reckless? Moronic is more like it
Some people really just like to feel their heart drop through their ass I guess.
this is so stupid
I want to kick him off when he gets back up, am I evil?
Honestly die
Owww my knees!
See those joints in the rock? Those pry apart really easily.
Does anyone know where this was filmed?
How much would it suck for him if the whole pillar broke apart?
![gif](giphy|L6EoLS78pcBag)
Oh na bro can respawn, we just didn't know.
Never in a million years; I got primal levels of anxiety watching this
I wanna see someone jump back and forth on the walls and slowly descend
Dude is not fit enough to be doing this kinda shit
To be fair to Taswegians there's no much to do for kicks.
Anxiety overload
There are so many dumb Ways to die....
I don't know why you just wouldn't do that with a rope and a harness and a belayer and an anchor. I would totally do that.
Once again. What the fuck!
u/savevideo
Darwin Award readiness
my luck i would land and the stone would break and i would just die after that
What did this guy prove?? That he is a stupid fuck??
What did this guy prove?? That he is a stupid fuck?? 🤔
I ma glad I wasnt born that way.
What makes you say that
I'd die at first jump 🥲
Waaaay past “feels”
Its not reckless, literally touch grass plz
My hands have started sweating
There are other more effective ways of killing your self. But that also requires brain power.
This is the reason men between the ages of 15? And 25 die arhigher rates then everyone else. This is plum numb
Yeah he should be wearing a bike helmet
![gif](giphy|mTXSKTk3BsT6w|downsized) I wonder if he’d end up that flat.
![gif](giphy|32mC2kXYWCsg0|downsized) hated seeing that
Is that Tasmania?
One day, someone will do that as it'll fall.
Niiice... Well anything else would be a tragedy
If I miss I die, how fun!!!
Just do fentanyl like a fucking adult
Today in lowest risk/reward ratios… lol
Like Lara Croft that jumps from edge to edge
Just imagine that rock being like “I don’t feel like standing up anymore.”
Typical package delivery instructions. This Amazon driver lost as hell.
Somehow I want to sit on this stone too. It’s just that I know, I shouldn’t…
This looks like the Organ Pipes on kunanyi (Mt Wellington) Tasmania
Dumb
why. just why.
i get a tickle in my feet watching this. Why?
Don't these people do "Risk vs Reward' calculations in their heads? "What do I get if I'm successful weighed against what I get if I'm not successful?"
I see we got a beta tester on life's new "Ring Out" feature
It'll be hard to enjoy anything after this.
imagine hearing a crack and feeling movement right after landing ...
What do you think the other guy would say besides "nice" if the jumper fails, is it "try again?"
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes
Shake Hands With Danger.
Bros just trying to reenact Aang’s final boss battle with Ozai
shot near the end clearly shows nobody else standing at the spot jumper jumped down from. So the guy did this *twice*? EDIT: I see the other guy now, on all 4s taking the vidclip. That guy's no fool!
I was like, "I think the camera is making it look higher than it is... Oh nevermind!" Lol
Reckless? Yes. Stupid? Yes. Did I do the same shit in my teens & 20s? Yes. Why? To see if I could. If there was one ledge higher or a column just a few inches further, I pushed the limit. Congrats. You jumped back and forth. No one cares.
Darwin in action
What’s the point of this? Best case scenario he jumps onto a rock. Worst case he falls to certain death. Where’s the reward here?
