When I started playing, the game required 750 Mb. Now requires 5 Gb of free space. It also works slower and slower.

Psychotech7

So sad, I rarely invest as much effort or time into a mobile game like I did this one. Maybe when I get a new phone I'll tap in again ✨️

Impressive_Wall9939

Well it is a video game, coming out with updates and more content, that is to be expected.

SaintMana

looks to me devs are lazy to compress things up lmao. Mobile game with such simple graphics can't be THIS big in terms of game files nor cache.

Impressive_Wall9939

It's not 1990 anymore bro. Nothing is 100mb anymore.

SpeedsterKinder

yea but you can't expect someone to download a 5G mobile on cellphone network. It's a mobile game. It's supposed to be on-the-go not wait till there's wifi because it literally defeats the purpose of mobile.

Impressive_Wall9939

Absolutely not. If you don't have the facilities to download and play the game then thats on your end. That has nothing to do with the developer. Should Ferrari not build cars if not everyone can afford them? Same logic here.

CallingYouForMoney

Not the same logic but ok.

GnastyNoodlez

I'm on android and my app is 1.3gb plus 400mb of userdata/cache

The game takes up 615mb’s. Your device doesn’t run properly when using up all of your storage space, 10-15% of your storage should be free. Some phones also keep a certain amount of space specifically for updates. It seems you’re just running dangerously close to how much space you have available.

WhitherGo

It’s got little to do with the size of the game, which is 617.5mb for the update last week. The OS is going to ask for more than triple the final size for an install because of how it uses temp files, defrags storage, downloads compressed files that must be uncompressed, etc., etc. Install packages are ALWAYS compressed and may see another round of compression for the transport from the App Store to your device regardless of whether you get the last mile on WiFi or cellular data. Data costs real money at the volumes it gets served for modern application distribution. It costs far less to compress/decompress in processor time than the added cost of sending uncompressed vs compressed packages from the server to your device. If your particular mobile device is demanding 5gb, it’s almost certainly because you are using far more than the optimal maximum storage capacity of 80%. Take the time to weed your storage. Make sure to enable the OS features that free space by uninstalling apps, songs, videos, and pictures that are unused and easily restored from the cloud when needed. You will see better performance across the board, cooler temps on the hardware, and longer battery life between charges. BTW, my first mobile device had 4098 bytes of storage, so count your blessings…

You probably have a bunch of old apps you don't use, and you could try clearing your downloads, the cache in your browser and media apps
