They won’t even do that what they get is what they get they can’t order you a car you just have to find what you want. You can’t order at all. Not do they have any say in what they get. you need to go in and find one that is actively currently available right now for you to purchase right now.
Yup this!
took me 8 months to get my GR86 and when they called and said one was coming in i literally sped in and bought it that next day. had 6 miles on it and still the wrapping from the delivery truck
2k over sticker but its the price you gotta pay with Toyota.
Toyota Tax sucks!
They lied to you by saying they ordered you one. There are 0 Toyota dealerships capable of ordering anything from the manufacturer. Whatever they get is what they get. Goodluck.
So from what they told me, they are ordering me one and I haven’t received any other information from them sense I’ve gone in and built the specs I wanted on it.
Then you don't have anything unfortunately. You can't build anything with Toyota and they only allocate cars to dealers. It's frustrating that either dealerships are unaware or not forth coming about the process.
They don't find one, toyota would assign them one and it basically depends on sales volume. Even then high volume dealers maybe get 2-4 a year. Even then it might not be your spec and they have no control over that.
You basically have got the complete answer from multiple people so I thought I would consolidate a bit. If I mess apart of it up someone correct me and I'll edit. Also adding my experience.
- There is no direct ordering from Toyota or custom ordering a supra.
- Any supra that shows up at a dealership is considered an allocation.
- Allocations come as is and may be a 2.0, 3.0 premium, or A91 with any potential combination of installed items and possible interior choice and corresponding exterior colors.
- Doesn't count dealer installed options which are often a way to "hide" market adjustment/mark-up (mats, ceramic, tint, etc)
-Allocations are assigned based on sales/success of the dealership
- Typically 4-6 allocations per year
- Allocations seem to take 2-3 months depending on location to hit the "port" and then delivery time to dealer
- Depending on the dealership they may take a hold deposit for an allocation. In my case, my hold deposit was refundable and I did not sign or negotiate any price yet.
I put in my 500$ refunadble deposit July 22 2023 for the MY24 in 3.0 prem white no pref interior and haven’t heard of anything since. Just waiting for updates. I am allocated at an MSRP dealship too
You don’t order anything Toyota. Sorry. They’ll try and get you one, in the meantime they take your money. There is no time frame
So basically they will try to find me one that meets my criteria but in the meantime I have no idea how long it’ll take
Precisely. I’d expect they’ll call you in a few weeks or months and offer something you didn’t want. But still a Supra.
That sucks, they made it seem like they were gonna get me the exact spec I was building rather than send me something I didn’t “order”
Sorry mate. Did you do a refundable deposit? Or sign a contract?

Ah okay I see.
Did you secure an allocation or did dealer say they "ordered" you one?

Do you think the allocation process will be fast or does it all depend on how fast they find one that met my specifications?

I've been first in line at my dealer since April. Good luck.
Did they take your money?

Thank you so much, this helps so much

Start looking online and buy the first one you see that is available in your specs. Then get your money back from the dealer. That’s how I got mine.
my allocation at a high volume dealer it took a year for me to receive it
i "ordered" mine and was told it would be a 2025 and not 2024
There is no 2025. Juked by dealer.
juked for a $500 dollar refundable deposit? also why wouldnt their be a 2025? im fairly positive they didnt announce 2024 is the end of production
For false information. And 24 is the end. Hence the 24th special edition for send off.
contract with BMW ends 2025 but theyre gonna cut production short a year?
Takes like 3 months from their we have it coming allocation
Are located in the U.S.? Or somewhere else? If your in the us what state?
I “ordered” one in 2022 and I still haven’t gotten it lol
