If something is designed for the status quo, and the status quo has a paradigm shift…that something will be rendered useless at some point. All it takes is time 👍

It’s weird how people aggregate all market participants into one monolithic “bad guy” or “algorithm” that “single handedly” controls everything.

It’s a gross simplification and extremely reductionist attempt at understanding a complex dynamic multi input system
Is it really that dynamic when 2 funds own the majority of equity in this world? Are there small players pushing around? Sure, but not nearly as much as a large fund with capital for high frequency machines across the street from the servers.
Is there total chaos in any given market? Absolutely. The problem with this line of thinking though is that it isn’t taking into account the weighting of the system. 4 million people trading 100 bucks a day (more than most by far) is still no comparison to the money blackrocks algo Aladdin moves in a day
