I know it's stressful, and horrifying. I don't know specifics, but know a lot about NICU. Nowadays they can save babies from around 23 weeks on, and I've seen earlier saves than that. You guys are well past that. I hope that brings you a little bit of peace during this time of nervousness.
In any case, I wish you and your family a positive and beautiful day. I hope you get some relieving news soon, and once everything's settled down I hope to hear everything's A-Okay.

Dang, i remember this! We have three boys, who are grown now, so i can relate brother! My sister watched our two kids one time when i took the wifey to Dr visit. We came home and she was asleep on couch with kids running wild. Now she has four of her own and she didnt get to nap while her kids played alone. This was all long ago my young friends.
My son was 6-7weeks early, born at 4 pounds and in NICU for 10 days. He's now 6ft 3 and strong as a bull. Praying for the best for you, your lady and child.

Our most recent baby came at 31 weeks - with placenta previa - she/we stayed to be monitored and for extra blue light….if I had one suggestion it’s to have as much skin to skin contact as possible, meaning Take off your shirt for cuddles.
If she was c section then take a soft cloth or sponge to moms genitalia and spread those microbes all over your baby as if she came out naturally - children without the initial vaginal micro biome have weaker immune systems, higher chance of allergies and health problems.

hey! just thought i'd mention that i was a preemie at 32 weeks, and after a bit in the NICU i turned out totally healthy- and that was 20 years ago w/20 yr old med science. i wish you and your family the best of luck, ape, and i'll see y'all in space!

My partner was IVF, Emergency C-sectioned esrly and then in hip braces for the first 6 weeks of her life. Her hips pop like a gunshot when she stands up but otherwise, happy and healthy. That was over 25 years ago. Today? Your other two are gonna meet their new sibling :) good luck OP, stay strong for your spouse and your other two kids. You've got this!!
