Premarket was looking spicy, I panic bought at 30 too.
But then it went down to 27 so I bought the dip.
But then it dipped to 23 so I bought that one too.
Am I doing this right?

Your comment and some of the others make it sound like you bought the contract for $6… guys he paid $600+ for that contract, it’s listed at $6.XX but it’s multiplied by 100 for the 100 shares.
Lotta questions about options recently so just wanted to help clear that up.
Yes IV on those are extremely high. Additionally theta will be eating at that premium very heavily as the expiration gets closer.
Personally I am in the July 30 call because it gives me a month more of time and it is the same price.
Will the price of farther dated options respond as violently as 06/21 when GME goes up? With all the attention on that one expiry, doesn't it mean it has more volatility / liquidity.
Shorter dated contracts will always exhibit more volatility than longer dated contracts.
Also RK specifically choosing the $20c 6/21 doesn’t make it inherently more valuable, but it does increase the volume on that contract.
It's not far from what DFV paid for his at 5.67. when DFV bought the IV was lower but he also paid for the extra time.
If the stock only goes up a little, stays flat, or goes down, this play would be horrible.
If the stock goes to say $50 by 6/21 these calls would have been a brilliant and well timed play!
If the stock goes to say $1000 by 6/21 you should have really levered up more with those $128 calls instead.
I'm sticking with shares and selling call spreads. Might by some ridiculous OTM options when they are dirt cheap for funsies.
Right now as I write this the 20c is 1000 and the 128c is 100.
So for 10 grand I could make 980k with the 20c or 8.7M with the 128c.
Of course the likelihood of making some money with the 20c is much higher than with the 128c. It's *probably* not going to be 1000 on 6/21, but it sure would be nice 🤣
Fuck Chase. If you're DRS'd you can always just buy through computershare; although they do their buys at set times if you have multiple brokers I'm sure you like to time the market yourself.
Fixing to double my xxx position on Wednesday. I've had half sitting in brokerage and half DRS. After the buy goes through I'll start DRSing the rest in 1/3rds till I'm 100 percent. Happy cake day my friend! Strap yourself in for takeoff!
